STORYTIME ✨ Bought from Mike Shaw Kia March for last year & that was literally the worst experience of my life. Took the L on my downpayment and traded in my brand new Kia Carnival due to manufacturer defects on the interior and no one having an answer or solution for 3-4 months (issues began the within 12 hours of buying a BRAND NEW vehicle, crazy right?) Fast forward to days after my trade in, they didn’t want to refund any bit of my warranty which was nearly $4000 and we had this vehicle for a few months. Anyways, got my refund after several arguments. Went to Mike Shaw Toyota considering getting a second car preowned, but right away they wanted to pull my credit without actually showing me a single thing I liked. Ended up leaving, and buying a brand new Hyundai Elantra the next day at Autonation. Day after that I get a call from Cosmo (sales manager) with him going on about how he fully thought they could trade in my 2024 palisade, possibly roll over some equity, and low my monthly payments with purchasing a vehicle from them. I mentioned that my credit was eh, and I had literally just bought a brand new car. He still seemed determined and convinced me enough to at least come in and see what they could do. Met with Angel the following day, pretty knowledgeable salesman, but we also mentioned we were more interested in what our trade in could be, or what we would still owe. He pushed that he should run our credit just so we could get accurate numbers towards a Great Highlander and what payments could be like. We were advised he was going to only run this through Toyota’s own financing, not 10+ banks and with this being a late Friday, he wouldn’t have anything back until Saturday morning. He said he’d give us a call and we could see where we wanted to go from there. Never did get a call, so I gave Cosmo a call and am told he will call back in 10 min with our info. This was Saturday, and it’s now Wednesday. Every call we have made has been ignored. Finally got through to Calvin (I believe he’s above Cosmo?) and he asked that we give him a chance to make things right and he will give me a call in the morning. Well guess what? No call. I don’t know what’s crazier; multiple levels of employees not wanting to take a loss and just admit that weren’t able to do what they thought they could, or the fact that the only professional people I’ve spoken to are literally their receptionists. I definitely do know though that when we do decide to buy new again, probably later in the year or next, I won’t be coming here. If you can’t communicate basic things like credit reports, appraisals and such, why would anyone depend on you to fix issues after purchasing?

They diagnosed and fixed my car in no time. They were able to explain what was wrong in a way I could actually understand. These guys are awesome!

amazing dealership

exceptional treatment by employees. I highly recommend it. The employees are friendly and the facilities are in optimal condition. The seller was very kind and answered all my questions. The process of closing the business was quick and the prices were very good.

I live out of town, but service department told me they

I live out of town, but service department told me they would need two days, with an appointment, to have my Optima s checked for ABS light on. Way too long to plug in the diagnostic interace.

Lost my business

waited 1 month for a service appointment. 5 days for a sensor and an oil change, tire rotation. no car wash, waited an hour after promised time to pick up. No offer of courtesy pickup or delivery. No smiles, no comforting words, just a bill. After owning 4 KIAs, you have lost our business.

Mike Shaw is service focused

Great service and great vehicles! Service manager is most helpful and customer focused. Highly recommend getting your service taken care of here. Aftercare is very important and this service department reflects that

Shaw package protection is a ripoff mark up.

Went to dealership to test drive Kia Seltos 2024 they had listed on their website. Vehicle was not available for test drive as they were still being prepared for sale. Since the color of the vehicle was not on the lot we decided to order the vehicle. Ordering went okay till the dealership added extra 1885 for the Mike Shaw protection package. I told the manager I did not want the protection package but he said he could not remove it. Now I understand if the vehicle already had the add on done, but I was ordering one that does not have the add ons. I even offered to take some of the protection package and meet them half way. Regrettable they would not budge. Stay away from this dealership they are just there to rip you off!! My wife being a veteran I thought this dealership would be more fair. As it is they already stood to make a good profit and they did not once offer to say they had incentives to help reduce the cost of the vehicle. The protection plan is just a rip off!! Take my advise go somewhere else where they care about loyal Kia customers.

Kia Rocks

I had an appointment on 04/26. All went went well and the service was done right away and when my vehicle was brought to me it was all nice and shiny. The advisor explain the service that was proformed and what to expect on my next service . Thanks for all the hard work

Make sure they put OIL in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Appointment 2 weeks in advance. I was there 7 hours for a simple oil change and Texas State Inspection. Appointments allow the customer to schedule in advance and allow the Dealership to have proper staffing levels to serve the customer. GET IT? Everyone was Distracted watching the football game. VIKINGS COMPLETE BIGGEST COMEBACK IN NFL HISTORY AND BEAT THE COLTS AFTER TRAILING 33-0 Dec, 2022 Everyone was so distracted that they did NOT FINISH the service and never put OIL back in the engine. I checked the oil a month or so later. You know what is on the oil dipstick? Metal and very little to no OIL. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!! They will never admit it. Will blame it on the customer. I park in the same spot every day at home and at work. There is no oil on those spots. I make it a point to check it often. Simple FACT is that the Grease xxxxxx, I would not call them a technician did not put OIL back in the engine. Terribly understaffed. Car sat out in the lot most of the time. I was outside. I saw it sitting there. Police Lives Matter Decal on the CAR. Wonder if they did it on purpose? You Never know. RUN AWAY fast from this Service Department!!!!!!!!!!!
