Another Consumer Victim of Dirty Auto Dealership
Run! Run! Grab your wallet and Run before your another consumer victim of this hideously unethical crooked and immoral used car dealer. As I sit in the back seat of a Sacramento cab, I am forced to look at why I purchased a car from Hayes Auto Sales without checking out their online consumer reviews first. Their consumer narrative rings true as one story after another is riddled with unethical business practices in the name of sealing a deal. On September 2, 2022 (which is just 6 days ago) I purchased a 07 Hummer H3. I was told by the personable sales guy Curtiss that the car was a gem and recently acquired. What I wasn't told, is the lemon would break down in less than 24 hours and eventually need to be towed after a failing transmission would become stuck in 2nd gear while entering highway 80. I was not informed that less than 48hrs of driving car, the car would be taken back to replace the radiator. This monstrous ordeal left me abandoned at roadside, lossed wages from work and embarrassment from leaking oil stains everywhere I went. Run! Run! Run as fast as you can. Do not be another victim of this unethical lemon peddler who preys on consumers who have hit financial woes, or like me were intrigued by a shiny low priced vehicle. Take your time to check out the reviews...read Hayes Auto Sales Better Business Burreu reviews and then Run...run...Run as fast as you can to a reputable car dealer, preferably a franchised brand or dealer with positive brand building reviews. Times are tough and your families hard earned monies should not be used to repair a car with mechanical issues that were not disclosed during the purchase. Don't be left in the Haze! Stay away..... Hoping the expensive art and vintage decor left in the vehicle after it was towed to them will not be damaged!!! Again Run...run....Run as fast as you can before signing a deal....and encouraged to buy the warranty.....which now I know why...... Peace

90-Point Inspection is a Joke!
We found a car we were interested in & it appeared to be in great shape. The salesperson said the car had passed a 90-point inspection. We had it checked by a mechanic. It turns out the 90-point inspection doesn’t flag a torn CV boot, significant oil leaks, and serious issues with the suspension as well as additional problems. It’s clear that that their inspection is a joke. Thankfully, we did not purchase the car.

Terrible
Sales person I interacted with was decent enough, service was reasonable. Found a truck I was interested in, seemed to be in the condition presented. One issue was that the AC wouldn't blow cold air. I asked the service group to check it out, was told they'd take it into the shop and inspect the system, recharge the freon (older truck), etc. Was blowing cold air when it came out, drove it off the lot. 1 day later it won't blow cold air again, so I take it into my local auto shop - they inspect the system and find the compressor is bad and leaking. I asked if a reasonable service inspection at the dealership should have discovered this, or when recharging the system if should have been discoved - they said any reasonably competent system mechanic should have noticed and reported it. So they are either incompentent mechanics and inspectors, or they are knowingly lying and deceitful. Not sure which they actually are, but either way is pretty bad. Definitely would not return.

Great sales team, lousy quality contr on vehicles.
I will say manager and salesman were absolutely amazing. But, full size spare tire missing , heater core had to be flushed twice because there was no heat and what seemed like 9 bottles of stop leak were dumped into the cooling system , heater still doesn't work. Defroster cable on rear window snapped off as it had been glued back on sloppily, windshield sprayer on passenger side didn't work. Within a week white smoke started pouring out of the tailpipe, obvious head gasket failure. Now I'm going to have to put another $1,000 into it for front-end work as the CV joints are bad among other issues, new tires but rear tires were not balanced there were no weights on them. There was no inspection done on this car obviously or, Shady things were done to get it out the door. Within a few days I already had problems. And two payments into a $13,000 loan I'm already in this car for close to $3,000, with more to come. No thanks won't ever do again. I was not and am not in a place in my life where I can afford endless car repairs. Lesson learned. Car looked great for used ran well for about a,week, then issues. In the end of the deal was labeled it as is, I get that but seriously.

Money Pit Car/Shady Business
Shady, Shady, SHADY!! Well I was in the market to buy a Tundra for work so I went to Hayes. They were all seemingly friendly people at Hayes Auto Sales at first. They hooked me up with a Tundra really fast even with no credit history. I loved the truck until I got under the hood. There was multiple problems I faced, the first being that all 8 spark plugs needed replacement because of a small misfire. Then the front rotors brake pads, rear drums and shoes were also bad along with it needing an alignment. I wasn't upset about this because I've done mechanical work from a young age. But where I got pissed was when I noticed their "mechanic" put the WRONG coolant in the radiator and it caused the bottom of the water pump to leak! After flushing the incorrect coolant, I saw there was a leak in the transmission and a bolt missing. So I immediately contacted Hayes Auto Sales, mind you this is 4 days after I bought the truck. The owner drove the truck around and had his mechanic look at it and they said there was nothing wrong with it. They gaslighted me and said it was all in my head. They scoffed me off and sent me on my way. Unfortunately I didn't pay for a warranty so I was stuck with the truck and there was nothing I could do. After I took it into two different shops were mechanics saw the same things I was seeing. So now I have to get the transmission fixed which is costing me an arm and a leg. This was a $15,000 truck so it's very upsetting the treatment I received. Not a very upfront, trustworthy business, they don't honor their customers in the slightest. I will not be recommending this business to anyone. These people are just trying to make the most profit they can, oh and their sales men even told me this!! I now see why sales men have bad reps. Zero integrity.

Terrible Service and Prices
Went in to look at a truck I saw on cars.com. It was extremely overpriced and the service staff could care less about selling anything. Only a matter of time before they are out of business with a staff like that.

Bring your mechanic with you!
I drove all the way to Roseville to look at a car I saw online. Boy, Hayes has a lot of used car lots in one location — about everything on that side of the freeway at that exit. Let the buyer beware! The car I bought needed repairs that eventually totaled an amount close to what I paid for the car. I was too trusting, and that used car was a hunk of junk. Never again for this dealer!
