Best place to get repairs done

As always this visit was great (I worked with Mike on the repair side) Work was completed quickly and a recall was completed I completely forgot about for my wife's truck. I was even informed about extra money back for using Ford Service credit, that I would not have known about, so I ended up saving $110 on the tires. This actually was about half the price of my repair work, so was nice to get something back for all the money I was spending out (bill over $1100). I was however, once again disappointed with the service side. As my wife's truck was finished early enough, and my truck actually needed my upkeep maint. completed, I decided to ask (since 3 guys were just sitting at the computers looking like they were waiting for something, and one just standing around, and the service lane was basically empty) if I would be able while there to get a quick service (20k service) on my truck. I do understand that it was later in the day (told previously it would take less than an hour) and I would have no idea what was in the bays currently being worked on. The answer I received, was no lookup of my vehicle, no verification of what was in the bays, and no asking what I actually needed. The answer was simply, no, you will have to make an appointment. I have said this before and I will say it again. The repair side of the service department (almost always working with Mike) for my previous vehicle is why I actually go to this dealership for my repairs. I am actually seriously considering taking all my upkeep service to another location simply so I don't have to deal with the poor quality of personnel in caring about the customer (I have a service contract to 100k, so all service is going to be performed). The question I have, is the upkeep side and the repair side employee's managed by the same person??? Mike, Albert, and the lady (sorry, forget her name) have always, always done so well in taking care of me and even when busy with customers, acknowledging me, and when you take a right turn going through the service doors, everyone I have ever worked with has been polite but do not seem to understand that the customer is important, and do some pre check info before giving the answer instead of what is convenient for themselves. This next appointment will now be the 4th time for my truck coming in to get a 6 month service (twice I made my appointment and upon arrival was told no service was due, and I do count this one as the person did not even check to see if there was enough time to complete my 6 month service before close of day) If you look back you will see that my "would you recommend to family or friends" has been dropping. The absolute only reason for that drop, is the continued poor quality of service from the upkeep service side. I have never had any complaints about the physical work done by the guys/gals that are working in the bays, just the quality of personnel doing the appointments on the upkeep side.

Oil change and tyre rotation

I was dealt with in a very professional manner and made to feel welcome. The work was explained to me and I was left to make myself comfortable in the waiting area. I was kept informed of progress during my wait and the keys were handed back to me promptly upon completion. I even received a follow up call the following day from the salesman who helped me originally purchase the vehicle.

Oil and Tire Rotation

I was treated very well on my arrival. I had a 7:00AM appointment and was the first to check in. Oil change and tire rotation. The car was taken around to the service bay within 5 minutes of being checked in. From there it seemed the service hit a snag as it was almost an hour before getting the car back Time on receipt 6:55 in 7:56 out. I noticed the individual who was going to tighten the lug nuts spend at least 10 minutes maybe more trying to set the gauge on the torque handle. He even asked another employee several times, I assume how to set it. I was not too happy for the additional time as I set the early appointment for an easy in and out. No additional issues found with the car.

Maintenance

I always feel like I'm being taken care of when I bring my car in for repair and when Jennifer is my Service Adviser. Jennifer is a prime reason why I return to Jarrett Gordon Ford to have maintenance performed. On this visit, James was my adviser and he did a great job. It was my 1st time meeting him and I appreciate him updating me on how far along my car was in the process. I had an appt at 12:30 for an oil change that wasn't close to completion until after 2:30. I think your team can work on a more efficient wait time for simple maintenance like oil changes when an appt is set. I understand that other repairs might not be able to have a set time due to the unknowns of other possible repairs and availability of parts.
