Poor customer service.

I called about a car that was located in Murray, KY. I live in Nashville, TN. I asked if they would be willing to drive the vehicle to Nashville so that I could test drive it. The employee said he would arrange that within the next couple of days. He then calls back 2 hours later saying that someone had come along AFTER my inquiry and put a deposit on the vehicle. I was never called and given the chance to purchase the vehicle prior to the other customer even though I had called about it first and made an arrangement with the staff to test drive it. If I had been told that the car would still be available to anyone else, I probably would have gone ahead a purchased it without the test drive, but I was never given that opportunity.

Our guaranteed deposit program is in place for people, such as yourself, to be able to secure their vehicle before purchase. We give each customer the option of placing the deposit on their selected vehicle once an agreement has been made by both parties. We cannot hold a vehicle without a deposit, as it would be unfair to other shoppers. Thank you for the feedback.

The truth

Came from WI on a Thursday after work. Got to the location outside of Nashville at about ten in the morning.(can’t remember the exact time) we were actually referred there from another dealer down the road which is sad because I am having to call him back and tell him to never send anyone in the direction of this dealership. I purchased the truck on a Friday. I was told I could take it to my mechanic back home to have a double check over the truck (scott kingsbury). But he won’t stand behind his word so it’s pointless calling him out. Or maybe it’s just a dealer thing. Anyways my fuel rail was leaking, my front end was junk (“I’m surprised you guys made it all the way back without losing a ball joint or tie rod.”) my mechanic said. My cylinder head gasket showed symptoms of failure which says is covered in the warranty. But this “faithful” dealership said it absolutely needed to fail? Why not take out more stuff in the motor right? So it goes on, I was told they’ve had the same person “inspecting” their vehicles for seven years. Well maybe they need to reconsider one, rewriting their 30day warranty and a new mechanic/inspector because obviously “somethings can be missed” (scott kingsbury) again! How can you miss major problems like this? I got home on a Saturday morning, what mechanic shop is open on the weekends? So I brought the truck to my mechanic on a Monday bight and had an answer the next Tuesday/Wednesday. My truck looks like it is owned by the shop and not by me because it has been there so much. Matter of fact I don’t think my truck has been in my driveway for more than a month. Finally to top it all off it’s currently back there because the transmission needs to be rebuilt. My overdrive clutches were seized together and I had chunks of clutch in my tranny filters. So moral of the story is if you want to stick another $10,000 into your “new” vehicle buy from this joke of a place but hey I better give credit where credit is due. The first bill I got for the head gasket repair and the fuel leak AND the entire front end they were nice enough to give me a lousy 2,000 dollars but hey who doesn’t like getting shafted with a 8000 dollar bill lol. (Can you sense the sarcasm?) I wouldn’t even spit in the same direction as this place. RUN!

Typical car salesman

They sold my future son in law what seemed like a good truck and told him to take it home which was in Wisconsin and get it checked out as they have already been through it. Lone behold they bring it 1000 miles home to find out that it should not have even left there lot with the trashed front end parts it had on it. Then to mention the head gasket that was bad and the hooky pooky could have started on fire. If you tell someone when you sell them something you will do this and that you should honor it, instead of make every excuse in the book of how you took advantage of young adults from out of state. Very shady business practices. Wouldn’t buy a roll of toilet paper from them

Not sure there is enough room for the “review” I have. Horrible experience. If this hasn’t made you think twice maybe the fact of me telling you to have deep pockets will. Don’t let the “faith” talk fool you. Dishonesty isn’t faithful. Do not stand behind things they say. Have any questions? Feel free to ask, my mechanic wouldn’t mind giving details either.

Bryce, we've spoken to both your salesman and his manager regarding your situation. They informed us that even though the truck you purchased was eight years old, they still mailed a check for $2,000 to cover a small oil leak that came about several days after your purchase. While most other dealers do not warranty eight year old vehicles, we do. And, we have our warranty in place so our customers can buy with peace of mind. The 30 day warranty covers an extensive list of major mechanical parts and you were made aware that oil leaks were not covered. In good faith, we still paid $2,000 for a repair that we weren't obligated to fix. We did what we did for you because we truly wanted to help you.

GARBAGE

They are your best friend until you sign the papers... then they are your worst enemy. Also, they say they have a mechanic with 7 years experience... he must only know how to inspect toy cars. Perkins Motorplex will not stand behind you whatsoever and they sell garbage trucks. When you get their “30 day written warranty” make sure to rip it up in front of them because they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you in that warranty.
