Purchased a Brand New 2025 GMC Acadia Denali on

Purchased a Brand New 2025 GMC Acadia Denali on 3-31-2025. It was supposed to be licensed and titled in Minnesota by Payne and paid over $5000.00 in tax, title and license fees. To date 5-27-2025 I still don’t have a title or license plates. No help from my sales consultant Steve Ray. Buyer beware before you give them your hard earned money. Going to General Motors management next. BUYER BEWARE

Most disappointing new car buying experience.

Most disappointing new car buying experience. All of the following could have been avoided if the dealership had taken the time, and the care, to prepare and ensure that the vehicle was complete before delivery to the customer. On February 19, 2025, I purchased a brand new Chevrolet Suburban from Payne Chevrolet. I spent over five hours at the dealership to finalize the purchase. I paid for and took delivery of the Suburban. My wife and I returned later in the evening so she could sign title documents. I was told that I would receive the second set of keys, floor liners, and owner's manual when my wife and I returned. Subsequent to all documents being signed we were told that not only could the floor liners and owner's manual not be found, but the dealership had also lost the second set of keys. I was assured that the missing items would be ordered and I would have them in 3 - 4 days. I was especially disheartened as I realized that the salesman and sales department continued to process the sale to me knowing that a set of keys, and other items were missing and they did not have the courtesy to advise me beforehand. I would never have imagined that I would purchase a brand new vehicle that did not come with two sets of keys. The floor liners were option upgrades that were listed on the window sticker. I received some of the floor liners on Feb 28, after 9 days. However, I did not receive the remaining pieces completing the full set until April 8, 48 days after purchase. After not receiving any news on the status of the second set of keys I contacted the sales manager on March 11, 20 days after purchase. I was told that a 3rd party locksmith company would meet with me to make the second set of keys. On March 31, 40 days after purchase, the locksmith was able to program a second set of keys although the key fob that he programmed and gave me had a “GMC” emblem on it instead of “Chevrolet” because that was all he had in stock. I soon discovered that the new key was programmed to the vehicle as Key #3. The original key that was provided to me at the time of purchase was recognized by the vehicle as Key #2. Because the automatic seat adjustment feature only operates with Key #1 and Key #2, the new key (Key #3) would not operate the automatic seat adjustment. On May 1, 71 days after purchase (10 weeks) the locksmith was able to program a set of keys as Key #1 and Key #2. However, the original key that was given to me could not be programmed another time, so the new key that was programmed as Key #2 and provided to me is a generic aftermarket key fob without any emblem, obviously not an authentic GM key fob. Not one time during this 10 week period did anyone from the dealership call or check with me on the status or progress of obtaining the missing items. I had to initiate every communication. Incidentally the owner’s manual was never provided. When purchasing a brand new vehicle from Payne Chevrolet do not assume that you will receive 2 sets of keys, floor liners that are listed on the window sticker, or even an owner’s manual. Verify and confirm before purchasing.
