Out of this world

The entire experience at this dealership was unlike any other car buying adventure. Just driving up to the dealership, was very eye appealing. Ron Lundberg met and introduced himself to us outside and from that point forward everything was smooth sailing. No pressure whatsoever! We actually were just looking, w/no intent on purchasing a vehicle at the time. When we finally did decide we wanted to purchase after looking a short time, but didn't have time to close the deal that day, it wasn't an issue. A few days later when we showed up to purchase, no haggling and it was quick to settle on a fair price. Along the way, we met other employees in the process and we received the same helpful/friendly treatment. This is by far the place one wants to go to be treated as a valuable customer, not just a number. They are very straightforward and want to make sure you are taken care of, even well after the papers are signed. The amazing appreciation and hospitality that is shown to their customer's at this dealership is truly SUPER! Thanks so much for the experience and fulfilling my wish of always wanting to own a Subaru.

Awesome dealership!

We always go to this dealership for service but hadn't purchased a new Subaru from them until recently. The entire buying process at this dealership was straight forward, easy, friendly, and quick. They didn't play any of the usual sales games when purchasing the car and we were able to agree on a deal within 10-15 minutes. Our salesman, Fred, was wonderful. Very friendly. He checked in with us throughout the process even when his part was done and made sure he saw us again before we left. Ginger was great when we went through all the extra options available and helped us find a customized solution that only included what we wanted. Mike is always great to work with and answered all questions we had before our purchase. I normally hate the process to buy a car but this experience was by far the best one I've had.

Enjoyed my buying experience

I worked with Wayne Martini, and I enjoyed my whole experience. My dealings with the rest of the staff at this dealership were also very good. Already looking forward to buying my next Subaru.

Wonderful experience!

We went to Subaru to purchase my daughter's new car. Having owned Subies in the past, we knew that it's one of the safest cars on the road. Her new Crosstrek 2.0 Limited has all the options, including Eyesight. As a parent, that makes me very happy. Fred was the perfect salesman for us. He's friendly, knowledgeable and pressure-free, and he took all the time necessary to answer all of our questions. Many thanks to him for a wonderful experience! The entire buying process was smooth, even though we ordered the car from Japan, and we were completely blown away by the delivery process, which was long but incredibly informative and, at times, very entertaining! The teamwork observed was excellent. I would certainly recommend Fred and Subaru Superstore to our friends and family.

Easiest, no-hassle car buying experience ever!

Knowing that we were going car shopping, we obtained pre-approval from our credit union and began our search. The new-to-us vehicle was found on Subaru of Chandler's website on a Sunday evening, and lucky for us, it was still available the next day. I dropped by after work to test drive and drove it home thereafter. Our experience was very positive and I have referred a couple of colleagues since. Keep up the great selection of quality pre-owned vehicles and outstanding customer service.

The wifes car

Put simply the rating is top notch because the service was above average. I felt like I bought a car not like one was sold to me.

Love my Subaru (again)

I made contact with the dealership to set an appointment to see the Crosstrek. I explained that I had some physical issues that made it difficult to sit/stand for any length of time and really needed to move the process along as quickly as possible. She assigned me to Wayne Martini. He was wonderful. Made sure I was always comfortable and well informed. Not pushy and very focused.

Typical sleazy car dealer

It's apparently industry standard to try to sponge every last dime out of prospective car buyers. These guys exceed expectations on that front for sure! Every step of the way, you can count on every car salesman trick in the book and a few new ones. I got (successfully ... ugh) upsold from a slightly used car to a new one (with an option package that I never would have picked myself ... I still can't believe I paid for $80 floormats, much less the $400 special mirrors ... I'll wear the "sucker" sticker for that one though. I should have been more on top of things). Oh, and when we said we didn't want the window etching on the one car, why would we want it on the other? Ew. What a sneaky sneak thing to do! Shame. Shame. Shame. He actually said something about it being the end of the month and they want to get the books wrapped up. xxxx you not. I should have walked there. That's such a sleazy car salesman line. Expected him to offer the undercoating or the chip and dent "service" about that point. Oh and the kid explaining the manuals. First, I wondered: Why is this a necessary step? Oh yeah ... one more shot to upsell! Literally, when he was explaining the entertainment center manual, this came out of his mouth "But since you're only getting the base model, it isn't a 7" screen, it's only 6.5" ... the sudden feeling of inadequacy was supposed to prompt me to up my "package" to the 7" model I suppose? Probably reading too much into it ... The finance department doesn't shirk either though. Trying to sell us on gap coverage, extended warranties and service plans, "no" was suddenly not a complete sentence. Interestingly, after the deal was done, I took one more trip to my credit union. When I told Subaru they were able to get me a better rate, lo and behold, suddenly Subaru found a percentage point they couldn't find me for the original deal! I'm so glad they can work to find me the best possible deal AFTER I found a better rate elsewhere. Not gonna lie. I was a little disgusted. Every penny. They'll even try to upsell you on Starlink on the way out the door ... under the guise of "acquainting you" with your new car. Presumably also a service plan ... I don't know, when they asked for a few more minutes I had to leave. Afraid all that sleaze would rub off on me. Just go away! I don't need three people shoving their hands in my pockets at once. I just need a car! I was willing to pay a little more and keep my haggling and shopping around to minimum, and what did I get for my trouble? Greedy money grubbers treating me like a checkbook instead of a customer. I see all these rave reviews, but it seems like a pretty ordinary new car dealer ... trying to nickel and dime their customers at every turn and pretending like they are doing you a favor. Didn't expect any better, but I kind of hoped I would find it anyway. Edit: I want to make clear that I don't blame them ... Mike and Bryan and Pierre ... xxxx, even Kim. They were totally doing their job and were professional and friendly, each one. The problem was their job. They get money when they take it pretty much directly from me. I get that. It just sucks for this whole approach to selling cars is the way we do it. It really dehumanizes the customer and the staff both. I have changed my ratings accordingly.

Dealer response

The review posted regarding this client's transaction is not justified... please let me provide the other side of the story and address the reviewer's concerns as follows; First, Subaru Superstore does not add floor mats, mirrors, etc. to our vehicles as the reviewer described. The options are factory installed directly from Subaru of America which, the retailer has no control over whatsoever. The only way to obtain a non-optioned vehicle is to special order the unit and wait the approximate 8-12 weeks it will take for the vehicle to be built, ship and arrive at the dealership. Second, we do offer clients OPTIONAL Subaru factory-backed extended warranties, GAP coverage, service plans, etc. for purchase. Again, all items are optional and its completely up to the client if they wish to choose to add Subaru services or not. We would be providing a dis-service to clients if we did not tell cover what was or was not available from the manufacturer. Also, Subaru Motors Finance (SMF) defines the finance rates for the clients... we are not a lender and if SMF decides to provide an enhanced rate to the client, we pass this finance rate along accordingly. Third, we employ Delivery Coordinators to review the vehicle's operation and instruct clients how to utilize the various features and functions on the vehicle purchased. The Delivery Coordinators are not salespeople nor, do they sell any accessories, upsells, etc. Their role is to instruct clients in the operation of the new / pre-owned vehicle and delivery the car properly each time to ensure a satisfactory purchase experience. Lastly, Starlink is a COMPLIMENTARY vehicle function that allows a client to have additional mobile and web based access to their vehicle for a period of one year, e.g., the vehicle emails the dealership is a service light illuminates, ability to locate a vehicle from your phone, lock/unlock your door from your phone, etc. The client has the ability to choose additional premium services and terms on top of those offered under the complimentary period directly through Subaru of America. We present these options to the client and its entirely up to the buyer if he/she chooses to upgrade their Starlink subscription with Subaru of America. Subaru Superstore does not sell nor receive compensation for Starlink services... we merely review available options of the Subaru subscription service and the client can choose to upgrade them at anytime during their ownership period. In closing, neither I, nor my dealership personnel have ever taken advantage of a client. I / we do not operate our business in this manner and will not tolerate behaviors that is not in keeping with our dealership philosophy. The multitude of satisfied clients, as evidenced by our outstanding dealership reputation and reviews, support this claim. We strive everyday to ensure we have satisfied clients... unfortunately, there are times that no matter what we do or how hard we try to have 100% happy clients, a very small fractional percentage of purchasers will not be satisfied due to preconceived notions surrounding the auto industry and their prior car purchasing experiences. I believe this is the case for this reviewer and their "perceived" experience with our dealership. Thank you. Regards, Richard Cvijanovich Owner - Subaru Superstore
