Electric Vehicles Buyers BEWARE.

Electric Vehicles Buyers BEWARE. In the many years of buying vehicles from Sewell Cadillac or Sewell MB of W. Houston, they're now doing "typical" dealer stuff. I suspect they're under new management, or a younger generation Sewell relative. They're recommending "scheduled maintenance" work that's not required by GM. You buy an electric under the expectation that your maintenance cost is LESS than an ICE vehicle. So to help THEM generate revenue anyways, I guess they've decided to recommend Tire balancing and front-end alignments, and god knows what else at scheduled intervals. It's pure xx. If you buy a Lyriq you can obviously afford whatever maintenance they throw out there, so it's the principle of the matter. But you can also afford buying all sorts of other vehicles next time you're in the market as well. I never expected Sewell to be become just another typical dealer. Unfortunate. Sad part, is they have so many great reviews from the past, this one wont' matter to them. But hey, this might help someone better manage their expectations when buying their next Sewell. It's behaving like all the TYPICAL dealers now. SMH

Ryan, Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post, along with the effort to reach out to us to discuss. Quite frankly I was pleasantly surprised of your sincere effort to retain me as a customer. I can appreciate the unique aspects of electric vehicles, and Sewell's attempt to increase the lifespan of the tires. Although I don't agree with dealer recommendations that exceed that of the OEM, I can appreciate your intentions, and they do seem sincere. You've retained us as a valued Sewell customers, although we'll likely pass on recommendations outside Cadillac's recommendations in the future.

The dealership and their sales team were professional,

The dealership and their sales team were professional, honest and direct. What I love about their pricing is that they don't advertise a price and then tell you that there is a $2K package that wasn't disclosed in their advertisement. I did purchase my car from them and when a few things went wrong, they were quick to address and fix. Lastly, they are responsive to inquiries and I can tell you that when going through the car buying process, most dealerships had poor communication and responsiveness or no responsiveness. The dealership is also immaculate and they have a free soda machine :). Overall, I was pleased with the experience and the way that they treated me throughout the process.

Salesman was kind at first but once I told him my maximum

Salesman was kind at first but once I told him my maximum payment and total I was as willing to spend I went from being a priority to a customer they were not interested in helping. Do not use this dealership if you’re not planning on spending 50K. This dealership is horrible and they don’t care about the common customer.
