Outstanding Service & Honesty

Brandon was amazing! Very honest and forthcoming about the vehicles on the lot. I'd been car shopping for the last 60 days and have to say he is the only "salesman" that wasn't a salesman. I immediately felt at ease and am very confident I got the best deal out there on my car. While we were finishing the paperwork, he had his team washing & re-detailing the car so that it would look top notch for me. I will definitely return to him to buy my next car as well as refer my friends & family. I can't say enough to describe how happy I am with my experience.

Not what I expected!

I'm not going to put a lot of effort into this post because I believe it'll probably just be taken down. The selection put 186 miles on my car during a warranty repair that happened three days after I bought it. Pretty pricey considering I was only to pay tax. They could only account for 30 miles of the 186 leaving 156 miles unaccounted for. They should offer me $.42 a mile plus $35 gas. Also missing from my vehicle was a one dollar bill I left in the visor as bait. Who steals one dollar?

I have no reason to remove a post regarding a difference of opinion, after all it is your right to share your experience. However, you state the vehicle was brought in for a warranty repair "three days after I bought it". The purchase date was 5/6/2015, and the warranty claim date was 07/14/15. On 07/14/2015 the documented mileage to open the warranty claim read 100,311. If you remember it took 14 days for the warranty company to send an adjuster to inspect the claim, in which you had possession of the vehicle. We did not receive the vehicle to complete the work until 07/28/2015 with an odometer reading of 100,486. We finished the work 2 days later with an odometer reading of 100,494 miles. Going by the printed documentation we only put 8 miles on the vehicle. You also stated "one dollar bill I left in the visor as bait" But told our office staff it was sentimental when we offered to reimburse it. Which leaves me a bit confused, who steals one dollar?

Great Vehicle and Great service

I searched all over KC for a blue Infiniti G37X, which is how I ended up at the Selection. They were the only dealer with a two door. Brandon was great to work with, and was very knowledgeable about every car on his lot. Even though the dealership was a long way from home, it was worth the drive for the quality of service, and the quality vehicle.

Honest & Trustworthy A+ Dealer. Best in Lawrence!

I can't say enough good things about "Hawk" and his commitment to quality, impeccable customer service. We purchased a car for our teenager and he agreed to have a new, updated stereo installed at no additional cost. As it turned out, the installer (not at The Selection) somehow managed to cause an electrical problem that caused the battery to drain. We discovered this after taking the car to the dealership in town, leaving it for quite some time and spending a considerable amount of money. I imagine most dealers would have left us to fend for ourselves, but not this one. Hawk was in constant communication with us regarding the repair status and reimbursed us for many of those repairs even though he wasn't obligated. He was much more concerned about keeping us as customers than making a profit at our expense. He ended up losing a fair amount of money on the car, but never wavered in his resolve to do the right thing and make sure that we were satisfied. He even offered to purchase the car back if we weren't happy. I have no doubt that this experience could have turned into a real headache, but The Selection made sure that we never felt abandoned and did everything in their power to make it a smooth buying experience. Dependability, excellent customer service, and most importantly-honesty, is what you'll get when you buy from The Selection. If you want a dealer you can trust and depend on, this is the place for you. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

****BEST CAR DEALERSHIP IN KANSAS****

Hands down the BEST. Hawk and his staff went above and beyond my needs pre- and post purchase of the vehicle. I live 5 hours from the dealership and drove up to view the vehicle with check in hand. I had previously done this in DFW area and been very upset as the dealership lied about several things (non-smoker when it had clearly been smoked in, hail dings etc). My CTS was exactly as detailed and described online. No dings, dents, nothing to nitpick, because they had disclosed everything already. I did have one minor issue with my sunroof seal, but 99.9% of Cadillac sedans experience them, so I was not surprised. Hawk and his staff helped me resolve the issue and he even offered to repair it FREE OF CHARGE after the purchase of the vehicle. At the time of purchase, they did not have my secondary key fob for the vehicle. I received it in the mail less than a week after purchasing, and was shocked! Most used car dealers will leave you high and dry post purchase and move on to the next customer. The Selection is a premium dealership with outstanding customer service and integrity. I could not have been happier with my buying experience here. I will be recommending to family, friends and even stranger. Great Dealership!

We recently bought a car from Hawk and could not have been happier with the ease throughout the entire car buying experience. From the detailed photos and great price online, to loan app process (We got a fantastic APR - very happy with never having to refinance down the road) to going to see the car in person (we live 3 hours away). Having been through a rough car purchase experience we were very wary with a "smaller" dealership. All of our worries were put to ease immediately. The car is beautiful, exactly as described and is a practically brand new car! He also put 2 new tires on, and an oil change the day we left with it. There are few dealers out there who are honest and not pushy at all - The Selection is one of those dealers, I will definitely look to them again first when we are ready for another car!

Great Experience

I recently purchased a vehicle from The Selection and was very impressed with the owner and employees. "Hawk" was a pleasure to work with and was very reasonable and knowledgeable. He made sure we were happy with our purchase and provided outstanding service, even after the sale was final. My family will definitely return for our vehicle purchases in the future!

Wonderful experience!

My experience with The Selection was amazing! I had just started looking for another vehicle and saw this business and stopped in to see what they had to offer. I found a Toyota Highlander and decided to take a test drive, it was a bit higher than I had planned on spending but it was a great vehicle. I also test drove a Jeep Liberty but was so impressed with the Toyota that I really wanted to try for it. I was going through some very stressful times and wanted to make sure I could handle purchasing it on a limited budget. I called back later and spoke with the owner, Hawk, he was so kind and helpful! I asked if it was possible to reduce the price and he sat down and gave me 3 scenarios to consider. I asked if I could check my budget and think about whether it would be possible and call back the next day. I was speaking with some doctors & a hospital that my recently deceased husband had bills outstanding with. I finally called him back the next day with the sad news that I would not be able to purchase the vehicle due to my financial situation. He was so kind, he asked if I would be able to buy the vehicle if he lowered the price, the option he gave me worked and I went to buy the vehicle within a couple of hours. The whole process was quick and professional. I asked if there was a way for me to let others know about my experience, he suggested this website and said he hoped I would feel comfortable giving them a review and a rating. I immediately agreed and asked if there was a way to give more than 5 stars, because honestly he deserves 10 GOLD stars in my opinion! If you are looking for a used vehicle and want professional, kind and courteous service then you need look no further, you will find this and much more at The Selection! Excellent service and buying experience

My wife and I were in the market for a used Outback. We went to the larger dealerships in town and I regularly scanned the internet for owners selling their personal vehicles. We went to the Selection to test drive a Forester they had in stock, but our heart was set on an Outback. After the test drive, we met with Hawk and talked to him about our desire to purchase a used Outback and our budget for the new car. In two weeks, he was able to find the perfect Outback for us. I cannot recommend this place enough. There is only one stop you need to make If you are looking for ethical salesman with top of the line cars at great value. I have no doubt my wife and I will be loyal customers as long as we live in or near Lawrence. It's rare to say this in the context of buying a car, but it really was easier than we imagined it would be.
