Buyer Beware

When you look at the vehicle & when you pick it up is two different stories. Be sure and take inventory of all accessories and check that list when you pick it up. Can you believe I didn't even get a jack or owner's manual-much less a $900 interior part?! Personnel is polite until you start questioning what happened to your missing accessories. Of course they denied them even being there. I might have been born at night, but it certainly wasn't last night! I will not recommend them to anyone, nor will I ever purchase another vehicle from them.

car buying experince

I was in search of a replacement car. I searched many dealerships and websites. I went to cars.com and found a few cars to sparked my interest based on the listing details. I completed some research of the dealership and everything checked out with no major concerns. I sent a interest to them and received a response back. I made an appointment for a test drive and the car meet my wants and needs. I completed the next step of working out the deal to complete the sell which was rather painless. I did have one concern that the listing showed some options which was found to not to be on the car. I brought up these concerns as this was rather disappointing. I am in communications with dealership to try and resolve my concerns. Overall an easy experience.

Best Car Buying Experience

I saw the ad for a 2006 Acura MDX Touring Model SUV on OttoSource's website. I had been looking for a luxury SUV for awhile and this one seemed to good to be true. The price was great, the pictures looked fantastic and the CARFAX indicated a two owner car that had received excellent service from an Acura Dealer. I called OttoSource and talked to Daniel. I asked him to walk around the car and tell me anything he saw that I might not be able to see in the pictures. He did this and told me about a few dings and some very small hail dents on the top above the windshield. Otherwise it was near perfect. I decided to take a chance and took a Greyhound Bus from Abilene to Dallas to see the car. Daniel met me at the bus station in the Acura. It was everything that he said it was and it drove like a dream. When we got to OttoSource, I spotted 3 Lexus RX models that looked equally nice. I asked him if I could drive them and encourage me to and let me take them out on my own. I drove them and came back to the Acura and drove it again. I finally decided on it. Daniel was very patient and answered all of my questions about each car and even pointed out a couple of defects that I had not noticed. He spent nearly 3 hours with me. Needless to say I am a happy camper. The Acura had been flawless for over two weeks now and drives better than any car that I have ever driven including my daughter's Porsche Cayenne S. OttoSource has a great inventory of excellent used cars. They appear to really do their research before buying them. I would buy another car from them and would recommend them to my family and friends.

Retraction - 2006 Honda Accord Coupe

Correction: My mechanic said that the car had POSSIBLY been under water.

Your mechanic is wrong Larry from Grand Prairie. This unit has never been under water. You should have taken this vehicle to a Honda Dealerhsip, they have certified mechanics that will tell you the exact report on this car. Besides, the unit is a certified Carfax buyback guarantee. I highly suggest to do a better research next time but I appreciate the time on trying to correct yourself from previous entry.

Retraction

A few days ago I wrote a review on cars dot com which was from my perspective gave me an opportunity to revisit my car buying experiene. I started this process well over a month ago and still haven't found the car that I am looking for for several reasons. Having had an opportunity to speak with OttoSource yesterday and after seeing that you the public have no way of seeing the rating that I actually gave them and Daniel, I felt the need to set the record straight. I did have a wonderful experience with OttoSource. Everyone there from the time I walked in the door and was greeted, to the young man who showed me to Daniel were both professional and courteous! The place was clean and well kept and the vehicle that I was there to see was exactly as it was claimed on the internet. I rated OttoSource a perfect 5 stars for customer service, 5 stars for the buying process and 5 stars for facilities, all of which cannot be seen. I gave no ranking to overall or repairs as I recall. I did not buy a car from this dealership and that's just how buying cars goes but I did not want my words to affect people whose lively hood is based on what may or may not be written about them! Confusing?????

Found an FJ online. Called about it and then did the research on the truck. I guess I contacted over 70 dealerships in the past two months but only visited one, OttoSource. I drove the car and wasn't sold on the price. Happens right! So far the story is a good one except after that, not one call from the dealership. Not one follow up. Not one did you buy. Not one thanks for coming by! A different car buying experience to say the least. Maybe I didn't look right to them, I mean, all that happened was I showed up to view their car and told them I was paying cash so either they didn't like my look or they don't want cash for a payment! wow

Good Deal, Good Service, Good Car

I purchased a 2003 Cadillac Escalade EXT. I was a little skeptical at first because the dealership was in Texas and I was in Tennessee. I contacted Daniel about the vehicle and he uploaded additional pictures on his website. He also Facetimed the vehicle so I would be satisfied that the vehicle matched the pictures. I put a deposit down to hold the vehicle. I was still nervous that there would be something wrong and I would lose my deposit plus the air fare for me to get to Texas. The risk was worth the trip. I arrived and someone picked me up at the airport and took me to the showroom. I test drove the vehicle and was very pleased. Daniel completed all the paper work timely and off I went. The vehicle was missing a remote and navigation disk. Daniel promised to send them to me and provided me with an I owe you document. I received my title within the 7-10 days along with the remote. I contacted Daniel at least once or twice a week check on the status of my items. He always answered or returned my calls concerning my items. My navigation disk was on backorder so he offered to send when it arrived or send me a check so I could purchase else where. I chose to have him send me a check. The checked arrived within a week. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the logistics of the remote and navigation disc. The price of the vehicle was great, the customer service great and one month later my vehicle running great. I took it to the shop to have them do an oil change and check it over and they found a loose idle arm but did not need to be repaired immediately. Can't complain for a 10 year old vehicle with low mileage. I would purchase a vehicle from Ottosource again and perhaps let them ship it too me since I saw the quality of the vehicles they had in their showroom and the integrity of Daniel to stay in touch and provide me everything promised. I decided to write this post after all my business was completed and hopefully someone else thinking about buying from Ottosource will find this helpful.

Awesome

Painless process. The car was exactly as described. I thought my financing was set up but it fell through at the last minute and they were very good at helping me look. We got it all squared away and was in and out very quickly once we got the financing done. I have already recommended them to people and will continue to do so. Cheaper than a large dealership and no games.

Very Nice Experience

I put a deposit on a 2006 F250 King Ranch because the price was just unbeatable, there aren't too many of these type of trucks here where I live. My credit union needed more documents from me so it took me a little longer than expected. They were able to work with me on the time frame and we got it done in 8 days. They even picked me up from the airport. I have never seen an indoor showroom like this before, really nice cars inside. I would recommended it, would buy again for sure.
