Hiland Toyota

I recently bought a truck through them. I traded in my current truck and agreed on a price prior to coming there. I wanted this to be agreed on since I was driving quite a distance there. I was assured that this would not be a problem. I had owned my current truck for three years and drove almost 120,000 miles on it with zero issues. When I got there they had me test drive the truck I purchased and they drove my current one. My wife and Mother were looking at other vehicles while I test drive the newer truck. They noticed them revving, start and stopping hard repeatedly back and forth. They thought it was odd. When I got back I was offered $2k less than agreed and told that my truck has a lot of lights on. Granted I drove several hours to get there with no lights on. I asked what lights and what it was. The salesman said he wasn’t a technician but they were firm on the price. This is a scam. I questioned how these lights magically appeared. I turned my truck off and on several times and the lights wouldn’t clear. I was stuck in a hard spot and kinda forced to go through with the deal since these lights were on and they were not willing to help to determine what was wrong. Less than a week later they have my truck listed for $6k more than they bought it. I feel like I got scammed and now own a truck I shouldn’t have bought. I’m not sure how these lights magically appeared but I am very disappointed the more I think about the whole situation. I would be skeptical on buying a vehicle here just from this experience.

Service was quick. Explanation of service was detailed. nice waiting area with snacks and drinks. Staff is very friendly. Bathrooms are clean.

Bob, my salesman, was relaxed, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He had a knack for anticipating my questions or needs. The rest of the staff was great too. I felt none of the pressure and arm twisting that I have felt in purchases elsewhere.
