Cloninger Ford of Hickory

I would like to take a minute to tell you about my experience at Cloninger Ford. Last week I purchased a new Ford Focus from Dave Smith. Mr. Smith called me after I inquired online about a Focus. He was so nice to me that I literally drove past 10 more Ford dealers to come to Hickory! I have 53 years as a Chevy driver. This is my first Ford and I LOVE IT! Mr. Smith spent hours with me helping me to be able to buy this car. James McElroy, the finance manager was also a blessing. I know this it their job but they went above and beyond in legwork and kindness to help me finance a car, make me feel comfortable, and I have been smiling since I left. A very big thank you to your team. I will be back as a customer. P.S. The cookies were a very nice touch too. Chevy never sent me cookies! And thank you Dave for all you did! I love the car! We walked into the dealership and was immediately greeted by Tom Thomas who made us feel welcomed and at home instantly. We told him we needed something better on payments, would fit our family, and would cut our gas payments down. After collecting all of our information he put together the best deal possible and we drove off the lot in our new 2013 Ford Edge. I have never been happier to do that level of business anywhere. I bought two vehicles from salesman Tim Phillips if you buy a car from this salesman do not sign on the dotted line until Mr.Phillips has giving you everything he promised you,he is very eager to sell you a car but he's terrible after the sale.

After buying two vehicles from Mr.Phillips and spending over $70,000 I found Mr.Phillips to be very dishonest.If your buying a vehicle from this salesman BUYER BEWARE do not sign on the dotted line until he has giving you everything you agreed on.After dealing with him he gives car salesman a bad name and I would not recommend him to anyone.

I used the internet to search for a used Mercedes SLK within 100 miles of home. I found one at Cloninger Ford. We called them on the phone about 9:30 AM and spoke with John Deal. Yes, they had the SLK and John would be there all day. We had an early lunch and drove the 75 miles to Hickory. We met John, he had the car ready for us to see and had answers to some questions we had asked when we called that morning. The wife and I took the car for a test drive and when we came back John got us each a cup of coffee and we sat down to complete the paperwork for the sale! No hassle. We got the internet price. No pressure to use their financing or extended warranty. Paperwork process was quick and correct. I was driving home with my new purchase by 4 PM. John Deal was a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend him and Cloninger Ford of Hickory, NC.
