Wonderful experience all around that left me wishing I

Wonderful experience all around that left me wishing I lived closer or needed to buy more cars. I had been hunting for a specific type of used vehicle on behalf of my boss, who gave me a very set budget, timeline, and search radius. I saw that Cloninger had a strong contender and reached out to inquire. Less than 24hrs later got a personal introduction from Leslie, who went and drove the vehicle to give me her honest opinion, which I greatly appreciated. I had a few specific questions and she addressed those and we agreed that it would be worth me making the trip to test drive it myself. Leslie wasn't working the next day, but her associate Marcus Smith was an exceptional help. He gave me plenty of time to test drive the car, ask questions, and discuss the particulars of how we could execute the sale with me as a proxy. It certainly wasn't super straight forward, but he never made me feel rushed, pressured, or like I was more trouble than the sale was worth. Despite the fact that I had set parameters to meet, Marcus was patient as we went back and forth about how to meet on the price and both end up happy. He ultimately called over his sales manager Dylan, who was equally kind and flexible. I appreciated that they both took the time to hear me out, check on their end how they could make the deal, and ultimately land at a place where we all felt great. I've bought several used cars from dealerships in the past, and this was by far the best experience. I would imagine that purchasing a new vehicle from them would be a very smooth and pleasant experience, not pushy or rushed. Genuinely enjoyed every person I interacted with at Cloninger, and will be recommending them from afar to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

Good no problems at all they said what they would do and they did it and on the other hand I did also. They could have give me a bit more for my trade. My truck was in great shape book value on trade in was 5,000$ more than what they give me. But I was happy with what I got

Service department to have work done on a car purchased

Service department to have work done on a car purchased at Cloninger is false. If you by a used car that’s not a Ford they will up sell a warranty and then when the car breaks down they will send you to a different dealership where you will have to fight with them about getting service done. John and Ashley were totally unprofessional while making me go to another dealership to get our van fixed. One of their mobile mechanics even came to look at our car and couldn’t complete the service because he did have a non Ford diagnostic tool. Service manager John trains his team to not work on all models outside of ford and then sends them to other dealerships to pass the buck without trying to help their customers who spend thousands of dollars purchasing vehicles from them. Do not buy any vehicle outside the Ford models as Cloninger in Hickory has no plans on being able to service those vehicles. Which my family had better experience with Cloninger in hickory but we will never do business here again nor will we ever recommend their dealerships
