I though I pretty much had a deal worked to purchase a truck form this dealership. Last I heard from the salesman was that they thought we had a deal worked out. He then proceeded to ghost me for the next 12 business hours. I finally call (nit wanting to rush or irritate anyone) and find out that they had sold the truck out from underneath me. Salesman didn’t even have the decency to call or text me to let me know. Needless to say, A complaint was filed with Ford Motor Company.

I was lied to about a loan approval, and allowed to take

I was lied to about a loan approval, and allowed to take the vehicle home without the loan being approved. I put a down payment, signed the paperwork and they told me the car was mine. I got a call from the loan company "saying" the loan was still pending. I have been totally stressed our over the past 5 days. I can't even enjoy my car. This is perfectly legal, but it is bad business. I was desperate for a car, and they wanted to make a sale, so information was held from me. I should have been told this after I signed the paperwork. If the loan isn't approved I have to return the vehicle to the dealership. This is one of the most horrible car buying experiences I have had in my entire life. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. I also spent $407.00 putting insurance on the vehicle, and its not even my vehicle yet!! even after a big down-payment. The insurance is prorated, and I will only get half of that money back, if I have to return the vehicle. The loan might eventually get approved, and I might get to keep the vehicle, but information was kept from me which has caused unnecessary stress. The point is I should have not been able to take the vehicle home, and put insurance on it until it was my vehicle. This is perfectly legal, but it is bad business. I don't appreciate the way I was treated. Information was held!! from me. That vehicle should have sat on that car lot until the loan was approved. I am putting insurance on a vehicle that doesn't yet belong to me. This dealership needs to be more upfront with its customers. I don't have the best credit, and it is hard for me to get a loan for a car. If I knew they were going to do this I would have never bought this vehicle. It's not mine yet. It's still pending approval. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. That is horrible business event hough it us legal business. Legal isn't always right. If you have bad credit, and you have to use a sublender, I would not suggest Cloninger Ford of Hickory. I am so dissatisfied with this car sale. I just want to take the vehicle back, and undo the deal. I have negative remarks on my credit report, and I am worried I might have to return the vehicle, so no I am not enjoying the vehicle. My oh my.

My oh my. I would stay far from this place. I purchased my vehicle at the end of January. I've had issues with Cloninger Ford of Hickory since then. First, the the finance person, Ty, charged us for a warranty that we were made to believe was included because the vehicle was a Ford and we were buying a Ford from a Ford dealership. Then I never got my digital paperwork via email like he said I would. It took two weeks to discover this because I didn't get the paperwork til Feb 7th. Already by this time I was experiencing some issues that seemed fuel line related and while thankful I had a warranty, still didn't have any details on what it covered as I was never given any coverage info. Well fast forward to March. I took my vehicle in last week to a Ford dealership down the road from my house to get it diagnosed. The fuel pump is bad. They call the warranty and apparently there is a 50 mile tie down. I'm like 48 miles away from Cloninger Hickory. I speak to Ashley on Tuesday who said the service manager is releasing the tie-down at that time. Come Thursday it's still not released. Today is Friday and the service manager is telling the service advisor I'm working with at Mooresville Ford that I should just come in to their shop. No, lies, deceit, procrastination. I don't want my vehicle anywhere near Cloninger Ford of Hickory. Still waiting a resolution to this matter.

My service tech, Melanie Ware, once again, was superb.

My service tech, Melanie Ware, once again, was superb. I'd been waiting on a plastic panel (the one that covers the driver's seat control) for the driver's side of my Taurus. She followed through on getting the part, and on the 27th of March 24, it was installed. I'm totally satisfied with Melanie's service, courtesy, and follow-through.

So I bought a car in September 2022 ford escape with

So I bought a car in September 2022 ford escape with 11,000 miles from Cloinger Ford of Hickory. Well needless to say I have only drove this car maybe a month and a half the whole time I have had it. (5 months of payments)First there was something wrong with my back breaks, a week after I got it. Then after that I had a ticking in my back tire, my defrost/heat didn't work on passager side (dual heat and air but still blow out only cold air with heat). They gave me the run around and didn't want to schedule an appointment to get fix, even after talking with service manager, still wanted me to wait a month to get it in. Well I had to wait. I even went back to see about trading it for something else, but no they didn't want to help me. ( I feel like they knew it was a bad car). Then finally they got it in to work on it the end of October. They told me several time in November it was fixed but went to check and wasn't fixed. This took about 5 to 6+ time for us to do this and called Ford motor service for anything to be done. They got it on December 7 and had to order a part and take dash off, one part they ordered still didn't fix it so had to order another part. Dash off again. I went through this and didn't get my car back until end of January. In the mean time they tried to put me in my car with no heat in the coldest time of the year. Well when I got it there was 2 big screw driver marks in the dash, and they didn't even attempt to fix it then. 2 days after getting it back, Well realized my miles until E was counting up to empty not down like suppose to be. Was told it was normal, (what that is not normal). Ask several Mechanics and Ford motor service and no that's not normal. Well I still don't have my car 2 weeks later. I got my car back and it still not fixed. Sent it in for several thing, dadh marks are fixed but not the auto off, it doesnt work at all and miles to empty is still counting up, was told have to drive 500 miles to fix it. I don't want this car. And they want help me trade or anything. I don't want to send it to bank and make my credit bad but I might have no choice.
