The dealership is new, and it showed. On the plus side we...

The dealership is new, and it showed. On the plus side we were offered water or coffee while we waited. However, from the start the customer service was moderate at best. The salesman was overbearing and pushy -- for example he was trying to tell me how to drive the car and use the cruise control. I've been driving stick for years, I know what I'm doing and I want to put the car through it's paces. I had to tell him to back off and relax. We were also given a hard time about how late we showed up at the dealership (i.e. "I can't get you floor mats right now because the parts store is closed, it's after 5pm. You should have gotten here earlier"). We left at 7am from Cleveland, Ohio and drove 420 miles to look at this car! Cut us some slack. Additionally, we were lied to (the parts shop WASN'T closed yet), which made it hard to trust anything we were told. There were several times where I almost walked out without buying the car. However, the price was excellent and I did end up purchasing a car from them. The WORST thing, though, was that when I got the car home and had it looked at by my mechanic they found that the brake pedal was broken!?! Hackettstown Honda let me drive the car home through the mountains of Pennsylvania with a faulty brake pedal! I couldn't believe it! They claimed that the car had been inspected by their mechanics and that nothing major was wrong. If you want to buy a used car DON'T go to Hackettstown Honda!

Morris and john were professional and easy to work with. No pressure to buy. Both were very helpful during the selling process.I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends. In fact I already have talked to friends about my positive experience.

Hackettstown Honda is the place to go. They gave a warm welcome when my 14 month old son, my husband, and I walked in. I did not have salesmen swarming over us. There was only one who asked us if we needed help, his name was Jerry (who is not yet on this site to rate due to being on the job for only 2 days). Jerry went well out of his way on a hot summers day to make my family happy. We were giving him a run for his money by switching cars and seeing what we could get for the best value. He did not give an attidude of any sort, and did not show any type of frustration with us. He was very patient as well as the whole staff at the dealership. I have to say, even the mangager, Frank, went out of his way to talk to us for a good amount of time...not only a quick minute. He even went out of his way to give us helpful advice whether to lease the pilot for 12000 miles or 15000 miles. The dealership was also very kind to my son. As familes know it is not easy looking for a car with a 14 month old running all around. Well, my son walked all over the place and the staff was so kid friendly and they didn't mind a bit. They even gave him a flag to walk around with (the flags that they put on used car). Again, I had such a great experience here, it is not like any other dealership that I have gone to. I usually go with ford, but the price of the pilot and the value was unbeatable. Thank you Frank, Jerry, and the rest of the staff at Hackettstown Honda.

Nothing but poor service from this dealer. Corresponded...

Nothing but poor service from this dealer. Corresponded with their Internet manager regarding a car. He gave me a good price so I wanted to go in for test drive the next day. Told me they had several of the car where were interested in in stock. Went a few minutes before he was scheduled to be there. We were instructed to sit and wait for him while they went to find the car. We waited and waited and waited. They kept saying someone would be right with us, they were checking on the car, etc. Almost 40 minutes later someone came out to say they didn't have the car we were interested in in stock!! After all that waiting! Then they tried to interest us in a different car. It was a very frustrating experience and I will not be returning.

I went to Hackettstown Honda to get a new timing belt for...

I went to Hackettstown Honda to get a new timing belt for my 2003 Honda Accord. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was very helpful, especially Mark. I was offered tea and coffee and a ride if I wanted to go somewhere during the 4-hour wait. The dealership and service center itself is beautiful and nicely designed and kept. There was wireless internet and comfortable seating, so I waited there the entire 4 hrs. I would definitely recommend them for anyone who wants to buy a honda or needs theirs serviced. I will definitely be going back.

Friday night I went with my son to Hackettstown Honda...

Friday night I went with my son to Hackettstown Honda where I met with Warren Kershnar who took his time with me and my son who is only 22. We looked at many cars and Warren took my son on several test drives. Finally we all agreed on the Honda Civic SI 6 speed. "what a sweet car" Warren was able to get the car priced to accomidate my sons budget. I have to say that Warren worked very hard for us because at the end of the evening my son was driving home in his new car. This dealership is not like any other dealership I have been in before. The sales people were not pushy but very helpful and friendly. The dealership is state of the art!! Everybody that worked there who came in contact with us was very professional and grateful for the business and genuinely sincere. While I was there with my son Friday night I had the opportunity to look at some new cars for myself while Warren spent many hours with my son. I fell in love with the Honda Crosstour EXL... Today "Saturday" I drove up to Hackettstown Honda to meet with Warren again to let him look at my Hyundai Sante Fe that had over 60000 miles on it and it was only two years old. Again Warren worked very hard to get me into the Crosstour EXL and now today I am a proud to be an owner of a new Honda Crosstour EXL. This car is so nice and to top it off it is 4WD. Everybody from Warren to Mike, Al, Solomon, John, Tom "Warrens new trainee" and Rick. Please forgive me if i missed anybody. So I bought 2 cars from Hackettstown Honda with in 24hours...I want everybody to know this dealership is like no other... Thank you to Warren and the team at Hackettstown Honda!!! Excellent Job!!!

My overall experience at Hackettstown Honda was nothing...

My overall experience at Hackettstown Honda was nothing but a headache. Warren Kershnar was the sales consultant I dealt with and although I feel his intentions were good and I appreciate how he was accommodating as possible, the compliments stop there. After literally waiting hours for the sale to be complete, I was told by the finance department that the payments for the car were going to be significantly more than what I agreed to as well as changes in the interest and length of the loan. After more irritating negotiating I was finally given a deal I could work with, which included the installation of a Lo Jack. I was told the day and hours that the installation was to take place, however they never showed up, and the reason they never showed up was because no one ever made the appointment!

How many times can you sell a car????

gave credit card over the phone for a deposit, took off the day to pick up vehicle, then was told the vehicle was sold. what kind of an operation is this?? the salesmen don't communicate to the manager? i feel my contract was broken. what poor operation. go to a more established dealership. don't waste your time here. also, beware of the PUSHY SALES MANAGER! telling me, come on, you know you love this vehicle. don't belittle the customers with such childish pushy sales tactics!

From the minute we entered the facility Warren Kershnar was answering whatever questions we had on a particular vehicle we saw the day before, a Sunday. Throughout the process, credit checking, paperwork he was always there letting us know the status. A very pleasant demeanor was always there. I would definitely recommend him to any friends looking for a vechicle. We were with Lamonte Mejia for a brief time, but he also was very pleasant and went through the paperwork easily and quickly. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the dealership.

My husband and I were very pleased with the process of...

My husband and I were very pleased with the process of purchasing a new CRV from Hackettstown Honda. Warren was informative, patient and fair with negotiations. Customer Service is obviously paramount in this organization and was demonstrated by Warren coming in on his scheduled day off to meet with us. All of the employees that we encountered were exceptionally helpful. The only area I see for improvement is the customer service via the phone - the hold time seemed long and not all of my messages reached Warren.
