Purchase of new 2022 GMC Sierra Elevation

Sameer Ebrahim down at Covert Buick GMC of Austin was very attentive during my purchase of my new GMC Sierra Elevation. The process was completed with greatest of ease. I recommend anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle to head on down to Covert GMC and ask for Sameer.

Zero Integrity!

Where do I start? A week ago (10/17/22), I attempted to bring my trade in to be appraised after inquiring online on a "new" 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation truck with $5000 off MSRP. After lowballing my trade, my salesman (in which I will not mention any names here) added dealer add-ons (Product Protection Plan and Window Film) to the price of the truck. I told him I wasn't interested in these to please take them off. He told me he couldn't that they were already included into the price of the vehicle. Told him again I wasn't interested and that I wouldn't be buying unless he took them off. He told me good luck in purchasing elsewhere... A few days later (10/22/22), this same make of truck was now $6000 off MSRP. Inquired again online and received a call from sales. Told them I had been in with my trade and but I didn't want the same salesman as he did nothing but wasted my time. Got a different guy, supposedly a senior sales agent with Covert. He too try the same tactic of the add-ons, but this time trying to sell them to me at cost. Told him too, not interest, to take them off. He finally did! Still a crabby value for my trade, but decided the $6000 off MSRP on a new truck was a good deal! Told him to send me the stock# and the VIN so I could look it up online to be sure we were talking about the same vehicle. First clue here was when he told me he didn't have that information in front of him. He would have to call me back. Later called me back but wanted my credit card number to secure the truck so it couldn't be sold. I agree to it and he agreed to send it out the following Monday to have a spray-in bedliner put in. This was on Saturday. On Monday morning (10/24/22), he calls me to tell me he was waiting for one of the two trucks they had left to come back from being loaned out over the weekend to customers. I'm like, WHAT?? What do you mean loaned out? The truck I agreed to purchase was supposed to be locked away only to be taken to the third-party shop to have the spray-in bedliner put in. He told me he didn't know. Told me he would call me back. Called me back a hour later to tell me he found yet a third vehicle identical to the one I was interested in with 338 miles on it. I told him this isn't a new truck, it's now a demo and I wasn't any longer interested in purchasing anything from Covert GMC! I found the sales people I dealt with to have very little integrity. I have chosen not to mention their names here as I believe over time others will see the same experience I did and will choose not to do business at this dealership. It's really sad that buying a vehicle has come to this. No one should be subject to this dishonesty!

Hummer EV1 experience with Lon Berg at Covert GMC

Lon Berg was outstanding. It was a long, unknown process with GMC to get the new first edition Hummer EV1 and Lon was relentless in finding out status, ETA, and when it finally came in he had the car detailed, charged up, looking great and was very well prepared to walk me through all the details and electronics of the car. It was a great experience with Lon. The paperwork and warranty options part of the process was efficient too.

Strength is in their service engineers & managers

Strong service engineers and service management. This visit to Covert was for a recall on one of the motorized runner boards which they managed swiftly and efficiently. The engineers do high-quality work quickly and this visit was no exception. I know that if this team has worked on my Yukon it will have been investigated, done well, and inspected.

Door Handle was broke! LOL! I was NASCAR Driver!

I recently broke my door handle & had to get out through the window. The technician laughed as I grabbed the luggage rack & swung my door t the running boards but then realized He would have to do the same thing! :) Covert did a great Job repairing it in Hours! Thank you Mark! God bless you & your team!
