Excellent Customer Service and Communication

I recently had a back tire blowout on the 605, as I was passing the dealership. Lucky for me, I was able to get to the dealership and Tyler had his guys put the spare on for me, with no charge. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! I purchased my car here and have been getting my car serviced here for the past 5 years. Tyler and Aisleen (service reps) have always been extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable about my car. They have also spent extra time working with the warranty company to make sure everything is getting covered appropriately. I know my car is in good hands when I bring it here. I can't say enough good things about this location!

Sleazy used car dealership

They did not honor their advertised sales price for a “certified” pre-owned car. After I drove a long distance to purchase the car, they wanted me to pay significantly more for a bunch of add-ons I didn’t want. Bottom line is that they would not accept my full offer of their advertised price. Classic false advertisement/ bait and switch. I’ll be reporting them to BBB and other consumer protection agencies.

NIGHTMARE

They fixed a bunch of recalls among other things and when I received my car back, there was a very loud noise that sounds like they left something in the car door or that the door is going to come off any minute. I have never had any noise wrong with this car since I leased it until I got it back with them.T They have had several chances to do the right thing, but they did not. They told me it was a shock that had gone bad. They saw a dent on that side of the car and said it was caused by that. Cerritos said the shock was $700 for the part alone. When I said I was not going to pay that, they said I should take it to a body shop. The body shop said the shock is mechanical, not body work. The dent has been there for a year and it has not done that. They were also supposed to reprogram my key which I paid for. They finally told me that I needed to do something myself to each personal setting for the car. I paid them to do this $160. They did reprogram it the 2nd time because I saw that they had changed my name and did not do it the way I was sure to write it. f I believe they also charged me more than they should have for my oil change. I paid $359 for an oil change. They said it was because I had missed the first 2. Bottomline is that I still have a horrible sound in my car and they never fixed the tack in my tire like I asked them to. They wrote that I needed 4 new tires and brakes on the receipt. They never told me this. I would not have known if I did not go over the receipt thoroughly. I left the 2nd visit with my car smelling like burnt rubber. I just thought that they must be right about me needing the tires. I thought this was what I was smelling when I left the dealership. It wasn't until my daughter got in my car and noticed what looks like a cigarette burn on my passenger seat in the front. Unbelievable. This is a nightmare. It has taken up too much of my time and the car is ruined, 2018 VW Tiguan.

The price you see is not the price you get

The price you see on the internet is not their price! Turns out if you read the descriptions, toward the end they all have mandatory options installed that barely due anything and cost $700 or more. If it's an option on the car you can't opt out of, it's part of the price and is unethical to try to obscure as they do. Some of us are on a budget and the $700 can make a difference.

Pulled credit for no reason - don't buy here!

As we are out of state shoppers our buying process was done via phone calls and email. On Saturday we called and spoke to Franco about purchasing a car they had listed on the site. He had my husband credit pulled as we were financing the car. We were Ppro ed and he said financing would call us to confirm numbers and finish the contract. Waited the rest of the day, but no call back. Called and left a message the next day, still no word. Emailed Franco Monday to ask what was happening, he sends back an email saying the car had been sold yesterday. He did apologize but said his manager made the decision. So now we have a hard inquiry on our credit, and no vehicle...and would never have know because no one bothered to ever contact us back about not only the contract we were placing, but that they were selling it to someone else, a day after we had started the buying process. Worst customer service, worst communication, and worst car buying experience....hands down!

Misrepresentation or Utter Inconsideration?

I live in Ventura county. Found car I want but asked salesman to confirm one most important feature before I made 2 hour drive. Said he did. When I got there, the feature was OBVIOUSLY in poor condition and needed repair. Promised me South Bay Mini would inspect and advise. Never heard back despite my repeated follow ups. Bought another car at different dealer. Felt McKenna just did not care one bit about me or my time.

Thanks Spencer and VW

I have a 2009 VW CC which recently had the EPC light turn on/off randomly during times of idle. I called VW Cerrritos and spoke with Spencer who explained what could be the possible causes for the light turning on. He recommended I try to replicate the problem before bringing the car in if it was safe to do so, this would prevent me from losing money if the problem didn't show up during the diagnostic. I decided to purchase an affordable OBDII reader that worked through an app on my phone and was able to retrieve a code for a camshaft sensor. I told Spencer my findings and got an appointment set up for the next day at 8am. The car was diagnosed quickly and was back to me the same day of drop off. This process included diagnosing the problem, calling the warranty service for an "OK", repairs, and waiting for the warranty to send payment after the repair was done. I'm not sure were the Camshaft sensor in my car is but that is a quick turn around considering all parties involved. I was provided with a ride home after drop off and a ride to pick up my vehicle which really made things so much more convenient. If a 6th star was possible I would just for the customer service alone. I thank you again Spencer and all the service members involved for taking care of my VW and giving me peace of mind.
