Don't buy a used EV here that qualifies for the 4000 dollar used EV tax credit The dealership WILL NOT do their part so you can obtain this tax credit. They are basically scamming you out of 4000 dollars.

I had one of the worst car-buying experiences of my life

I had one of the worst car-buying experiences of my life at Desert Lexus. I called twice to confirm that the specific car I wanted would be available and was pressured into booking an appointment to "secure" the vehicle. When I showed up early for the appointment, I was told the car hadn't even arrived yet, completely contrary to what I was promised. Instead, they tried to sell me a used model at the retail price of the new one I had inquired about. When I declined, I was told that if I wanted the original car I came for, I had to complete paperwork immediately or it would likely be sold to someone else. That pressure tactic felt incredibly manipulative. Throughout the process, I was able to negotiate the payment down by almost 40%, which makes me wonder how inflated the original offer was. Worse, the entire experience was riddled with misleading information, dismissive attitudes, and uncomfortable interactions. My partner was talked down to, and we both left feeling completely disrespected. And to top it all off, when I came to take delivery of the car, the paperwork was incorrect and had to be redone. After everything, they couldn't even get that right. Desert Lexus is the textbook example of what gives car dealerships a bad name. I would strongly recommend avoiding them altogether. You deserve better. Go literally anywhere else.

I purchased from this dealer about a month ago.

I purchased from this dealer about a month ago. I wish I had seen this review site first! My experience was pretty bad. The staff are nice, but completely disorganized, they dont followup on things, they are non-responsive at times. It is not a luxury car buying experience from this dealership. I like the car, but the rest of the experience was pretty bad....enough that my next car might not be a Lexus. I even paid over MSRP for the car (extra profit for the dealer) and still a sad experience.

We made an ok deal on buying a used 22rx350.

We made an ok deal on buying a used 22rx350. It wasn't the deal we hoped for and ended up at $50 a month more than we intended. As we left financing and we were handed the KEY we were surprised there was only 1 key. They agreed to get us another key. No problem. We made the appointment to go get the key (assuming they would cover the cost) we were told it would be $300. While we were talking with sales manager, we were saying it was not disclosed to us about 1 key until we were ready to drive away and we felt they should cover at least half of it this man came storming up, spitting mad. He said we can rewrite the deal and I'll add $300 onto the price of the car and a lot of bluster, rude things said to us. His name is Kyle and he was extremely rude. I will never buy a car there again, unless he was gone from there!

Went to this dealership to look at a BMW and also a replacement RX was told they could get me financed never heard anything back. So ended up buying the two vehicles from another dealer out of the area. This has been my experience in the past with car dealers in the Palm Springs area overpriced and limited inventory. I won’t visit this or any other Shottenkirk dealership so much for Midwest nice

CJS bought a used 2013 Honda Accord 1/31/24, it only has 34,000 miles. It is his first car and was happy with the deal he got. Mark was the salesman that went out of his way to help him out. My husband and I, happily took him there after he found an add for the car, because we had made a previous purchase of a new car there a couple years ago that we are very happy with👍Such a friendly and helpful staff. Thanks Again Desert Lexus
