Feel like family

Had the best experience at MAG. Once you walk in its a friendly enviornment where you feel comfortable. Wonderful and very helpful staff. Felt secure afyer buying the car knowing that thay will still be there even after purchasing my car. Great experience .

Absolutely amazing service

I went in there yesterday to trade in my car for a truck. They made the proces extremely easy and actually kind of fun! I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Poppy and his team are fully attentive and committed to getting you what you want and need, thank you so much!

Great car buying experience with MAG

MAG Auto Corp is a family operation with professionalism, competence, and customer service to rival any larger corporate dealership, but with none of the bureaucratic difficulty. I am very happy with the car I just bought from Poppy, as well as the extremely quick and friendly service with which it was inspected, registered, and made ready for me. The car looks/is running great, and I was impressed with the trust MAG places in its customers, and the frankness they approach them with. There was no pressure to buy, they were happy to let me test drive the car alone and take it to an independent mechanic to be looked over, and they were incredibly amenable to making the minor repairs that I asked them to before I purchased it. I have total faith in the reliability of the car and in Poppy's assurance that they would help me with any problems that may arise. I highly recommend MAG for your next car.

Great place!!

I highly recommend MAG to anyone looking to buy a quality used car. They take care of their vehicles, and customers. I was pleased to find such easy going and nice people in the used car business. There was no pressure and they were so quick to help. I found the car I wanted on a Monday night, and had it Tuesday afternoon. I was very pleased with their customer service.

Awful, unprofessional, and as dishonest as they come.

MAG Auto Corp in Poughkeepsie New York, is a dealership that gives car salesmen the reputation they have for being sneaky and untrustworthy. I purchased a car on April 29, 2017 and did not take possession of the car until May 24,2017. In this time, all I was told was that the wrong part was ordered and the mechanic was very busy and that was what was holding up delivery of my car. I was asked to be patient, and assured that the car had only minor issues, such as needing an oil change and a sensor. When I finally got my car, within the first hours I noticed serious mechanical issues. The whole front end shook violently when reaching 50 mph, and the transmission slipped gears when having to accelerate quickly. When I notified MAG the very next morning, I was told the car was just driven and it ran beautifully. Yeah, ok. I expected to be met with some resistance, but what I got was down right insulting. A day or so later, the car broke down, stranding me and my two small children. MAG towed the car back to their dealership, and still claimed the car was fine, just needed a battery. I'm not an idiot, the battery was not dead. I was told for days that the car was driven and looked at by numerous mechanics and the owner of MAG, Poppy, and that they could not "duplicate the problem I was claiming. " I was also given the run around every time I asked where my car was or if I could come down and drive it with them to show them what I was talking about. I was always told my car was "on the highway being test driven". The thing is, I have a Verizon hum in the car which reports every time that car moves to my cell phone app that's connected to it, and the car was only driven once for one mile and the top speed was 31mph when "Poppy" told me he got pulled over he drove my car so fast while test driving it. Finally I had had enough. I sent my husband down to where my gps said my car was, and he told one of their servicemen to get in and let him show them what was wrong with this car on a test drive. Once backed into a corner, they couldn't legally deny a test drive in the car, and once in it, no one could deny that this car was really messed up and unsafe. Three days went by before I heard from MAG again, and now their attitudes had totally changed. I guess once they were caught in a lie, they were angry with me somehow because I was met with terrible, unprofessional attitude. This is a very lengthy story, so I'll shorten it now. After all of this, no matter how many times I asked, I was never told where my car was, what was wrong with it, or what was done to it. Poppy kept telling me they did the rotors and I was called on June 8th to pick the car up and told that he was "done with this car, he did his part and he's not doing anything else to it. " well, test driving the car, the front end is fixed, but the transmission is slipping terribly still. This dealer refuses to fix my car, won't buy it back, and won't replace it. I am now looking into getting a lawyer to resolve this. All the while, I am still responsible for the payments and insurance on the vehicle, and had to rent a car just to be able to get to work and get my kids to school. I HIGHLY advise anyone purchasing a car, stay as far away from MAG auto as you can get. If your credit isn't great and you feel you don't have any other options, you do. You can wait. Waiting is better than going through this nightmare. It is devastating emotionally and financially and MAG Auto couldn't care less about you, onto their profits.

Andrew is the Greatest

I bought a 2008 Toyota Solara convertible in April 2017. Had been looking at these cars for a while and MAG had a beauty. Andrew, the salesman, was quite helpful and easy to work with. I came down from Albany and test drove the car. He then met me again and let me look at the undercarriage. Have been driving it for almost a month and love it every day. My mechanic recently checked it out and says it is in tiptop shape. I would certainly recommend MAG again - ask for Andrew.

Great place to buy a car!!

I would highly recommend this dealership to anybody looking for a quality used car. Anthony was very hands-on honest and genuine when he came to helping me find the perfect car for me. You will get his undivided attention and he will help you through the process he's very knowledgeable and patient. I would highly recommend this dealership and the experience

Fantastic place to buy your car!!

I bought a Prius from Mag Auto which I absolutely love!! They were all so helpful. Everyone in the office really respects each other and they work as a team. They respect the customer as well. You don't feel like you're being taken advantage of at all! (Which is common when car shopping). The cars are quality cars and reasonably priced. They let me drive my car to my mechanic before I decided to buy it. It checked out and I love it! I highly recommend this place. Buying a car can be such a headache, but these people will do all they can to make the process a better experience!

I have bought 4 cars from Mag. Call Anthony in Highland location. You will never find a more honest, caring, hard working professional than him. All my cars were in perfect condition and other than normal maintenance, never a problem. Anthony will always make himself available and no request is too difficult. Five Star - no TEN Star. You can't go wrong! I will not buy a car from any other dealer!

I bought a dodge ram for my daughter from Anthony at the highland location.he's a great guy he helped me pick out a vehicle that my daughter would be safe in.he's honest and reliable.I would recommend anyone who's looking for a vehicle to go see Anthony.
