My husband and I bought a new 2013 Sonata from Bob Arch at Loren Hyundai and we are very happy with the vehicle and service we received from Bob. I would highly recommend buying your next vehicle from Bob. He was very helpful, informative and made sure we were happy with our purchase and that all of our questions were answered. Bob Arch was a true professional throughout the whole buying process and made it very stress free for us. We definitely will purchase another vehicle through Bob in the future. Everyone at the dealership was warm, welcoming and just generally pleasing to be around. If you are in the market for a Hyundai call them. I wouldn't buy one anywhere else.

What a welcoming car shopping experience! I usually dread the whole bs that goes along with purchasing a car. I was referred to this dealer by a friend. I asked for the salesman he recommended, a gentleman named Bob Archibald. Couldn't have been nicer, more laid back and informative. Just straight talk with no sense of being "sold" something, and I could tell he really believed in the product line. I had researched the car I was looking at (Genesis) and his right to the point bottom line for the car was very close to what I was hoping to pay for it. No haggling, no pressure, no back and forth. A great product at a fair price. My prior experiences were with BMW, where I was ALWAYS sold a bill of goods. The Genesis is nicer than the BMW 5 Series, at a much better price. This review is my way of thanking Bob for reminding me that sales can be a noble profession, and I would urge anyone who is considering Hyundai to stop in and see Bob. Thumbs up!

I was shopping for a new car a few months ago. I went to Loren Hyundai and was greeted by Radek. He was a great influence on my purchase of my new 2013 Hyundai Sonata. I feel if Radek was not the wonderful salesperson he is i may have chosen to make my purchase somewhere else. After dealing with Radek and Loren Hyundai i felt very good that LOREN HYUNDAI was the right place to make my purchase. Radek went above and beyond his sales expertise to ensure that i was and will be happy with my new car purchase. Thanks again Radek for doing your job and then some. Radek is a great asset to Loren Hyundai.

Danger-Beware
Received a price through Internet sales for a Tuscon. When I went there robust the vehicle, the price was nowhere near the quoted price. The sales manager became loud and belligerent and would not let us ask any questions. Finally I just walked out on them.

I had been to a couple dealerships, and the experience here was well worth it. The Sales Manager had said it was all about the experience. Thanks to him and to Radek the salesman on my new car. I informed Hyundai on the phone that my buying experience was an exciting one.

The worst Hyundai Dealer of 3 I visited.
I called ahead to find out if they had the turbo automatic veloster, the woman said we have a few and to come by and she'll help me get set up with someone. I explained my issue with the other 2 dealers, minor, and she was very nice. When I got there with friends, no other customers, only manual trans on that car. So I believe this guy was a manager, asked if I wanted to try the regular auto, why not, at least I'll know the feel of everything, just slower, ok. And I said I would also like to try a Santa fe, because I'm also considering a small truck/crossover, ok no problem. We drove the veloster, it was ok, felt comfortable, but yea, have to try a turbo. I ask where is the Santa fe, the manager says, ah we only have 2, one with 490miles on it, the other has a down payment. Huh?? Where are they I ask, he waves his hand over there, 2 more times I say where. So we walk in that direction, and already he is talking me out of it, hmmm Then the salesman who had spoken to him when we got back who rode with us, starts saying in a nice way, yea, don't bother with those, just wait until we get the turbo, which earlier, they have no idea when one will come in. Finally the manager says, are you going to buy anything? Huh, He then says, yea, I can't have my employee's going around taking joy rides all day. Huh? So I say, if you don't want to show me anything, just say so, Um, yea, I don't want to put miles on my cars, Ok, I say: First you find the look, the drive it for feel, etc, then options, etc. Who buys without driving unless it's a ferrari. He says yea, we're done, Fine I'm out of here. How the xxxx do they do buisness here??? I have visited many different manufacturers over the last week, Hyundai the worst, and that one topped them all because of that one guy with his super ego. (I'm curious how many cars they sell there?) lol.

Not sure where to even start on this one. I had a very long trip ahead of me and was in need of an oil change. I get to the dealership, state what I want, and they tell me I'm due for an inspection since I'm about to hit 90K miles. Sounds reasonable, and the pamphlet shows that I will be getting a number of services done. The cost is $350+tax and comes to a little over $400. What was done for the car? An oil change, replacement of oil and engine filters, "brake service", and an inspection of the car. A tune up doesn't cost this much and the amount of work I got done for the car should not exceed over $150. Here's the kicker though. They find I'm in need of new brake pads for the front tires, a new car battery, and new tires. The individual cost they give me are $325, $210, and $1,100 respectively. The person who I'm speaking to goes ahead and stands up tall and grabs a cup of coffee with the biggest grin on his face because he knows he has me. He cuts me a deal while I decide to do my research. Brake pads don't exceed $50 (rotors were not replaced in the service) each, a car battery costs $100 at most, and the tires are ~$200 each. This means I'm paying over $500 in labor, and this is not including the inspection which is also incredibly overpriced. A little icing on the cake: They told me my car would be finished by 2 or 2:30PM, and it's not finished until almost 4PM. I clearly got taken advantage of because I didn't bother to do my research before hand, and that is my fault. What they don't know is they make more money from repeat customers. You can bet they won't get another cent from me.

Rude Sales Manager, Empty showroom
Went to this dealer to see this used Altima, Jim the saleman showed the vehicle and we went for a test drive. The car was priced ar 13K on the net, to start my negotiation I made an offer of 9.5K Jim said this car is prived at 16K , he went to the sale manager, a bald guy, he took the papers from Jim and asked me if this was my offer andjust TORE THE OFFER paper in front of me, poor jim just left the place. Their not a single customer in the show room when we went, no wonder if this is the way they will treat the customer what can you expect. DO NOT deal with this dealership and get yourself insulted.

I am a Costco member and asked them to recommend a dealer and they recommended Loren and i was contacted by Irv Gordon who was the Costco professional at Loren. He asked me what the bottom line was at the other dealer and he said that their price was much lower. I was hesitant to come in because I'm in Chicago and Glenview is about 22 miles away and I didn't want to have to go there for service later on. When I got there he was with another customer so I waited in the lounge and then he finally got to me and started to do some figures and, in his words, told me that "you were xxxxx" by the other dealer. Shortly thereafter, he turned me over to his assistant, Rodek, and he worked some figures and the ultimate bottom line was $25,500 or $2,500 more than the first dealer so I started to walk out and he followed me to my vehicle and tried to argue about its trade-in value and I told him that that did not matter because the bottom line was what mattered. He then walked over to another man on the lot, David Shou(?) who was allegedly the owner and he said to me, as I remembered, would you sign if I brought it down to $22,500? And I agreed because that would have been $500 less than my other offer. So we sat in his office and he started to write down some figures and look at his computer. He spent about 15 minutes at this which I couldn't understand since we'd already agreed on the bottom line. In any event, he wrote it all down and presented it to me while continuing some banter and that distracted me to the point where I didn't realize that his bottom line was at $25,000. I don't know if it was because I was careless or because of his obfuscation that I missed that, but, after I'd signed everything and got home and reviewed the figures, I realized that I was taken, but it was too late at that point. The following Tuesday, they'd gotten the car in the color I wanted so I went in to pick it up but I also wanted to confront them with the fact that they didn't show me the Costco book and price and then they argued that it didn't apply since the car wasn't in stock and that the pice was off the MSRP and not the invoice price, which wasn't the fact. As a palliative David agreed to take of $400 which was hardly anywhere near what my loss was.

Since I gave this review on 4/22/2012 I've been able to resolve the dispute with the dealer and received a settlement so my files are closed on this.
