We contacted the Autobarn to inquire about a manual Mazda3 hatchback. This car has been hard to come by, but Lewis informed us they had a car that met our specifications and we traveled from downtown Chicago to Evanston to take a look. We were impressed with the level of care and customer service provided. The car was offsite, so Lewis had to bring it to the dealership & was caught in traffic, however this was not an issue and we were kept updated until his arrival. The buying process was easy and stress-free. Because we had an X-plan pricing code, we didn't have to worry about haggling on price. Lewis took the time to introduce us to the maintenance staff on site and helped us set up the bluetooth to connect with our phones. They washed the car, filled it up with gas & we were on our way. It was nice to finally find a dealership who took the time to work with you and treated you kindly, with respect and with the goal of maintaining your custom for many years to come. We would highly recommend the Autobarn to anyone looking for a new car, even if you have to travel a distance to get there - it will be worth it!

The whole process of buying my new car went very smoothly. I was expecting to be at the dealership for decent amount of time, and thankfully, I wasn't. My salesman was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. Haggling with prices was nearly non-existant, which I thought was a positive (and still, I got my vehicle for invoice price). The finance employee was a bit pushy, but, overall, I had a really good experience. I will definitely recommend this dealership to others.

We have been looking for a Mazda3 manual hatchback for about 3 months without having much luck with any dealerships - they were too pushy & unhelpful, but not Evanston Autobarn. We contacted the dealership, spoke with Lewis & told him exactly what we were looking for. He said they had a car that fit the bill & we traveled up from downtown to take a look. Poor guy even got stuck in rush hour traffic bringing it to us! The car was just what we were looking for & the whole buying process was so easy (this coming from a first time buyer). Lewis introduced us to the maintenance department and even took the time to explain many of the electronics (helping us set up the bluetooth on our phones). It was nice to find a dealership with polite, friendly staff who treated you like they wanted your business not only right then, but in the future. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Mazda in the Chicago-land area - even if it's a bit of a haul to get to them, you won't be disappointed.

I had an amazing experience I am 22 years old my first time purchasing a car on my own and kissy made it really easy she even showed me the cool things that the car does.... I would refer all new buyers go to her she answers all the questions you could ever have.

This was an amazing experience it was my first time buying a car alone but kissy made it very easy to purchase a car she walked with me step by step to show me the car features she stayed within my budget. it was a great experience if your a new buyer I would totally go to her she makes the process fun!!

I knew exactly what I was looking for when I contacted...
I knew exactly what I was looking for when I contacted Lewis about a 2011 Mazda 3. Lewis was very friendly and knew that I wanted toclose the deal quickly. I got an amazing deal on it, almost too amazing..... I asked Lewis if there was anything I should know about the car, and he said it was such a great deal because it had been on the lot for so long. (which it had). After taking the car to get gas (somehow they can't give you a full tank!?). I discovered why the price. It was a hail damaged car! The people who fixed it did a great job on the hood but the roof is pretty bad. Why not be up-front to the customer??! Look, I still would have bought this car at the price I got, but it made me feel a little cheated. We are all informed consumers in this day of the Internet, we can search inventories and comparison shop on-line for anything. I knew it was a great price and knew there had to be something going on. After talking with Dan (sales manager), he assured me I would be taken care of. I wrote this review before speaking with him, and accordingly my review reflected that. Having talked with Dan I would give the dealer all 5s. While initially being frustrated I am now completely satisfied and feel like Dan listened and helped me in every way possible. Thanks to the staff and Dan for turning an awkward situation into a positive one. I would not hesitate to recommend the autobarn to friend and family..... Brad beutler
2012 Mazda 3
I was interested in buying a new car and so I decided to go to Autobarn Mazda because I heard they are very good cars. When I walked in, a young man name Lewis helped me find the best car for me. The customer service was excellent! Lewis, Mike, Dan and the rest of the team were very understanding and worked out very good deals for me. The waiting area was also very convenient because they offer free coffee and snacks, that shows a lot that Mazda really cares about customer service!

My experience at Autobarn Evanston Mazda was excellent. The team is very friendly and took their time in helping me find a new car. Lewis was very helpful and was very patient and understanding. They provided a great deal for me and even offered me with other great deals. I'm am very happy with my new 2012 mazda 3 and I'm glad I came to the right dealer.

CONSIDER me, as the customer: I honestly thought my 19 yr old car would last forever and had just received the news: replace it NOW! No choice, that it. I was sick. I knew I loved my car, but felt I had to do the responsible thing and consider other models for comparison... suffice to say, I was not an easy client. Jonathan Sammons was my salesperson, although I use the term reluctantly. I do not engage well with people who appear to be trying to ellme anything, or wasting time. Instead, Jonathan helped me gain valuable relevant knowledge about each issue I felt important in my new car, and never with an attitude. He is candid, well informed, quick to respond, and in the end went much more than the extra mile to get the car I wanted! When I was actually in the driver seat I couldn stop smiling and laughing; I feel confident about my decision, I made an informed choice and couldn have done that without the help I received. I could stop here, but think it worth saying that the people at Autobarn Evanston were helpful, professional and candid. It is a coincidence I happen to own a search firm and hire people for a living. Genuine customer service can be faked; the focus was on my needs, as a customer, -what a concept! I would definitely refer Jonathan and the dealership to anyone in need of help with a car.
