Dowling Ford has a very small town dealership feel to it

Dowling Ford has a very small town dealership feel to it which I prefer over the corporate “high pressure” dealerships out there. They were very personable and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

Not true to their word

Scheduled an appointment to come buy a car. Confirmed that I was coming day of. Both myself and my partner took the day off of work and drove nearly 2 hours one way. Literally 1 mile away from the dealership they called me to say that they sold the car. Extremely unprofessional. Classic scummy car dealership. Don't waste your time here because they clearly don't respect it.

This is an obvious and intentional tactic to have multiple people come at the same time for the same vehicle to make sure it's sold asap regardless of whether or not you screw the other parties over. You could have called and said someone else was looking at it which would have been perfectly fine but instead chose to mislead us, have us come all the way there, and offer other inventory. We drove over 200 miles round trip with gas at nearly $5 a gallon, losing time from work for this and were offered nothing but a "sorry that sucks, wanna buy a different one?".  I just want other buyers to beware that tactics like this are employed at Dowling Ford.

After reading all the great reviews about Dowlling Ford I decided to go there to order my Bronco Sport. So glad I did the experience was wonderful, NO pressure. They are very friendly and honest. Even the owner Lauren came out to meet me. Highly recommend them. Looking forward to working with my salesmen Fran when my Bronco Sport comes in. Thank you

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE IN MY 60 YEARS ON EARTH ! I'm naturally a somewhat skeptical person, "don't expect a lot & you'll never be disappointed" is my motto, but Dowling Ford & their team of down to earth professionals went miles & miles beyond my greatest expectations in #1 - ordering exactly what we wanted in our new Bronco Big Bend, #2 keeping us informed during the LONG build wait (it was a Bronco after all !) & finally #3 making the delivery day fast, easy, & most importantly enjoyable! I'll work with actual family owned over corporate "family " any day. While the "big boys" are charging thousands $$$ over MSRP & calling it market value adjustments after your vehicle shows up, Dowling Ford kept their word WITHOUT me having to ask for it in writing, I was just that comfortable with them. Thanks Beth, Dan, & Asher for the wonderful experience, looking forward to doing it again when my Maverick shows up !

2017 Jeep Patriot

My wife bought a 2017 Jeep Patriot here. We got a great deal, as in there words, they are off the beaten path so have to lower their prices to be competitive. We worked with Dan Janus, and he was friendly, nice and helpful all the way though the transaction. They have low fees and do not pressure at all, no haggling needed, the price is already as low as they go. Overall we had a pleasant transaction, and the only thing I would say is poor Dan appears overworked and underpaid. At times he was a little slow to respond to emails/texts, but not for trying, working 10 hour days with no lunch. We got there in the end, viewed the car on Friday and drove it off the lot on Tuesday. Perhaps October is just their busy season.

Nice guys in an old shop

Old school dealship that is very easy to work with and pleasant. Don?t let their older facilities put you off. Nice people

I wish to delete/ revoke the review I wrote about Dowling. It was written in anger and based on a misunderstanding that was already resolved before my negative revue was posted. Subsequently I learned that a very simple misunderstanding caused me to lash out at this long-standing and reputable business. I sincerely wish for my negative post to be removed, and this retraction be posted in its place.
