In November 2018, I purchased a new Chrysler Pacifica
In November 2018, I purchased a new Chrysler Pacifica with only 71 miles on the odometer. I was unaware that there had been an accident on the lot and assumed that the vehicle was brand new and had never been in a repair shop. However, I am currently attempting to sell the car, and as we utilize Carfax, I discovered that there was damage three months prior to my purchase in August 2018. The damage was extensive and ranged from moderate to severe, affecting various areas of the vehicle. I contacted the manager, who informed me that there had been a hail storm and that the damage was below a certain threshold. He was advised by his legal representative that he was not obligated to disclose the damage to customers as a defective vehicle. However, he was required to report the damage to Carfax. I strongly advise against purchasing from this dealership.

Also, Carfax reports are compiled using information they gather from various third parties, such as insurance companies and repair facilities—no business is required to submit any information to Carfax. That said, we completely understand how this could be frustrating to learn after the fact, and we apologize for any confusion.
