Shady!! Chopped LIVERmore

I'll start by saying I'm a respect man, and to me, it's worth more than money. This place is the definition of a shady unprofessional car dealership with no respect for any ones time or business. Wife and I were told that if we drive down (2 hours) we could purchase a vehicle that is in transit (showing in stock online) and they would deliver it to us when it arrives. After talking with the sales manager and finance manager (don't like naming names for anything negative), we confirmed that it would be possible to purchase the vehicle before it arrived as long as we signed the paperwork in person. After making the drive we confirmed purchase price and vehicle specs before filling out docs and running credit. Credit is just below 800 and the manager comes back with an 8.99 rate 😂. Mind you we planned on putting $20k down! We say no we'll take the (although xxxxty) 4.99 at 48 months as advertised on Highlander hybrids. They say let's look again and comes back with 6.99... At this point I start asking more questions and they go back to the drawing board again. This time the finance guy comes out and says bad news, we can't sell you this car because we can't hold them for you and it's not on the lot. (Although this may be the case for the $500 deposit that used to get abused we were assured that if we purchased the vehicle it would be ok.) He proceeds to blame our sale guy Ruben who had been the only bright spot during our time there. The funny part is the guy placing blame on others in front of us had been one of the guys my wife talked to and confirmed that we could in fact come and purchase the car in advance. Seems like a shady and very xxxxty situation regardless. Either they lied to get us to drive and get our feet in the door or they didn't like that they couldn't sell us a car with any mark ups and a larger than necessary rate with longer terms! Absolute xxxx hole of an establishment with disrespectful employees who only care about their commission points (minus Ruben). Terrible representation of the Toyota name. Little do they know I am well connected with a large network and they just lost a ton of referral business.

Fardin Ali, your agent is very insincere. I had dashboard rattle issue, since last year and try to fix it here last visit but at that time there was no parts. so I make an appointment next regular maintenance service. and this visit I asked him to fix my dashboard and he told me that he will take test drive and if he can hear rattle noise he will move next step. so I told him 'no' the test was already done by other agent, and you can read it my service record. and he ask me who was the agent. ??! how do I remember his name ?? he would have references through the system finally he told me he will look up what happen last service and he will ask the agent who write the report and he told me to come tomorrow so I came back my home with good riding service. but 3hour later I had a text message that my car is ready to go. when I get there Fardin Ali told me he had test drive but couldn't find any issue! so my dashboard was not fixed still poped up. and I told him did you read the report? he told yes but he is not. if he did he can read my dash board was poped up and has to be replaced. I told him my dashboard is poped up so you should check and he came to my car and see what happen and told me he will fix it. but after 40 minute waiting I shoud go back to work. and 20min more waiting after I ask him just give my car back. I had good riding services though

I bought a 2020 Camry XLE.

I bought a 2020 Camry XLE. A, no one tried to raise the price from the internet $24k to the sticker price of $29k. Associate Neil did a great jobs showing me the car, even drove my old car home behind me to save trouble. No upselling - the warranty was explained, priced, and when I said "no thanks", that was it. It took longer than expected, but Matt kept me informed. And when it was my turn, I could see why the process was longer than eight years ago when I bought my last car. BTW, there is a horrible review below regarding David. He no longer works there, so Neil tells me.

I took my car in for a service and had Dan Eaton as my service specialist. As soon as I got to his desk he stated the 90k service would be an expensive one and he hoped I was prepared. He read off the list of things that would be done and then printed an estimate of $1395! As I looked it over I thought this didn't seem right for a service and couldn't be the only option available. I noticed he'd signed me up for the "Preferred" service with unnecessary and expensive services I didn't need. I asked him to show me other options. He was very reluctant to show me and was very pushy on the Preferred being what I needed, which I knew wasn't true. Turns out there were two other options he NEVER mentioned, the manufacturer recommended option (which is what I needed) and another intermediate option with more services. The manufacturer recommended had most of the Preferred services and none of the premium unnecessary nonsense. Anyway, the one I went with was roughly $495. He tried to up-charge me by almost $1000 for unnecessary services if I didn't ask questions. Avoid this place like a plague. If you decide to go make sure they show you all the options instead of trying to push the most expensive thing on you.

The sales manager David is a huge scam.

The sales manager David is a huge scam. It seems that David has been selling cars all his life and knows every little scheme in the book to make you pay more money. He will keep interrupting you when you’re talking and tell you to be quiet and listen. my wife and I drove an hour away to trade in our vehicle and to buy a used vehicle they had on their lot. David started off his negotiation with offering us 1k for our trade in value. Bad thing for David is I did plenty of researched for my trade-in vehicle so I completely know its value. David then magically offered us 5K for our trade-in which is great. But here is where his scam comes in. He told us he would give us 5K for our trade in, Only if we pay 3K more than the listed price for the used vehicle on their lot. David said if we pay 3k over the listed price for their used vehicle, he would then give me the 5K for our trade in vehicle. How does that make sense? You want me to pay more money so you can pay me more money? If you are at Livermore Toyota and see David as a sales manager, RUN! I would save your money and go to a different Toyota. David is full of himself and you can tell he needs to retire soon. Good luck Dave!

I recently found out that due to my cancer treatments

I recently found out that due to my cancer treatments for my breast cancer my previous back surgery I had done is declining and I have to use a wheelchair a lot of the time. With that being said, my current car is unable to comfortably fit a wheelchair so my husband decided it was time to upgrade me. my husband and I purchased a different car from a different dealership A month ago after trading my car in that car failed mechanically so we ended up returning the car and having to get my original car back from them. Needless to say I was nervous to start the car buying process over again. I decided to take a look at Toyota dealerships since I worked for one previous to my diagnosis. There were no cars I liked in the Lodi area so we decided to expand our search to the Bay Area and Livermore is one of the closer cities so we thought we would try there. We checked before hand and seen they had a few three row used car vehicle options available. After doing some looking around we decided on a 2017 Kia sorrento. The Kia wasn’t at the top of our list however it had everything that we needed in a vehicle. Our salesman was Jose and let me start off by saying that he was a very nice guy. We had such a good interaction with him that he’s the reason we decided to drive back two days later to ultimately purchase the vehicle. This is where things take a turn. The sales manager David only wanted to offer me $1000 for my vehicle. I just traded in my vehicle at another dealership a month ago for a price of $6500. But because I wanted to do everything as a one and done deal I decided to get my car back from that dealership because I wanted to sell my car to whoever sold me a new car to make everything easier. I also can’t be without a vehicle as my husband works full-time and I have to be at the doctors daily for my treatment. My husband tried to go back-and-forth with Jose who was having to go through David. David ultimately ended up taking over and that’s where things took a sour turn. We thought we had finally agreed on them purchasing my car for $5000, however that was incorrect. They said they would do that amount but that if they did that amount they would have to raise the price of the Kia that we were trying to buy from them for another $2,000 to $3000 on top of the sticker price. How is this even legal to change the sticker price and the price they have listed online and on numerous websites like carguru. So what they were really doing is trying to purchase my vehicle for $1000 and add the extra amount to my own loan. This was the weirdest situation I have ever encountered and I sold vehicles for Lodi Toyota aka Lithia motors and I can’t believe they would do this. I plan to reach out to my old employer to ask if this is legal or not. My husband then proceeded to say that this whole deal was a joke and to give us back our keys etc for our car as we were not going to do the deal. David got so upset that we called it a joke that he proceeded to throw my keys and paperwork on the counter leaving me to retrieve it and tried to treat my husband and I like children the whole time we tried to make a deal. I am a 32-year-old woman I don’t need to be told to be quiet and listen from a older gentleman. I feel attacked and I will be handling this thoroughly with BBB Or whomever I have to contact. As someone who has worked in this industry I am appalled with how you guys conduct business.

Bump up price by $5000 after trade in cancelled

I asked a quote online (Roadster inquiry) to trade in my 2011 Prius for a new Prius Prime and got in touch with Lei. She was nice and we finalized the price to be MSRP + Destination fee + tax. After all the credit checks, we started to close the deal. The breaking point was they tried to convince me that my 2011 Prius only worth $2000. I have full coverage for my Prius and only did all the maintenance on Toyota dealership, made all the recommended fixes and it's gas mileage is still around 46mpg. I refused to trade in my car in such a low price. They asked me to sell the 2011 Prius by myself and I agreed. After Lei went back to talk with her manager, she came back and told me that she could not sold me the car unless I paid $5000 markup. I have no problem with Lei. She is a smart black girl. I believe she made up a new nickname Lei because my name looks Chinese in online quotes. Its management believe they don't have to honor an oval commitment. How much can you trust them? I decided that Subaru could be a much better choice, not only from resell value point of view...
