Where Friends Don't Send Friends

Listening and comprehension are not too much to ask for! I really wanted to do business here but enough is enough! Happy Holidays though (I mean that sincerely!)

Dealer response

We are disappointed to hear that, Erik. When we fall short of a customer's expectations we very much want to know how and why. Your comments have us anxious to know what went wrong and how (and if) we may be able to correct the situation. If not, we do apologize and also sincerely wish you the best of holidays.

Outstanding used vehicle dealership

A pleasure to work with this dealer for the 2nd time. Purchased recently from them again. Excellent selection of pre-owned, low mileage cars at the right price. We found what we wanted, did a trade and drove off the lot same day. Cannot be more pleased.

Selling cars that were returned via lemon law

When I search the web for the VIN, it comes back that the car was returned in NJ through the lemon law. I search another car from the same dealer and it too was returned via the lemon law. Very shady.

Poor attention to detail

No attention to detail here.... We purchased a car from Blasius in Waterbury about a month ago. I figured I was finally ready to review our experience and give you the best illustration of what buying a car here is like. First off, let's talk about the good things - Jim was our salesman, and he was very responsive to questions, etc. We came up and looked at a car a week before we made a deal with them and he was very good at looking into questions we had. We also did find a car at a relatively reasonable price that did not have an accident history - use auto check, a significant number have past accidents. From there, it seems as if the little league in baseball was running the show.....we didn't even rate a double-A team. We never saw the car clean until we picked it up - the parking lot for the cars is not paved and the constant dirt and dust makes the cars consistently dirty. We came up to negotiate a deal on the car, and a few issues were brought to their attention that needed to be remedied, including a wheel balance, lubricating the sunroof, detailing the car, and to ionize the interior to remove the cigarette odor. After a little negotiation, we reached a deal. We set a date five days away for delivery, and confirmed they would have enough time to complete the list and ready the car for delivery. They insisted that they would be ready. We did speak to Ray in Finance - beware of the fact that their financing is not "competitive", but the rates are significantly higher than what we were offered elsewhere. The rates must help cover the $750 gimmick in the pricing. Do the math - if the term is short enough, the $750 incentive is worth it, otherwise finance on your own. In the mean time, I did all that was necessary to make the transaction smooth - I made sure the insurance card and binder was sent to them, I assured the check was ready, I also made sure I had the plates for transfer with the registration. We arrived a half hour before our pickup appointment and I had a gut feeling nothing was done with the car - I was right. They failed to balance the tires, they failed to make sure the sunroof shade didn't squeal....and so on. I was told it was a busy place and they didn't have the time to open and close the shade quite a few times to assure proper lubrication. I guess that meant my sale wasn't important to them, right? They also blamed Town Fair tire for not properly balancing the tires initially, and the salesman stated they have "a lot of problems" with them. Guess what? They have their own wheel balancing machine and did it then....why send it out to be consistently done incorrectly when you can do it there? This all took time to remedy, including low/dead batteries in the keys. No real attention to detail here at all.....the detailing job they did was more of a cleaning - there was still a lot of dirt and "gunk" in a lot of places. We were offered a lunch across the street while we waited, which although nice, still didn't take into account that they wasted my time and didn't respect that my time is valuable. Mind you, we had to wait over 3 hours with a 3 year old child in tow. They also stated they would fill the tank for me....well, let's not hold back, but it would only be proper customer service to send a customer off with a full tank, regardless of what happened. After we left, I noticed the rear wiper blade was falling apart (rubber separated from the blade). Isn't that a basic inspection they should do before delivery? While we liked Jim, the facility is poorly managed and is an example of how inept management can cause them to lose customers. We were told that there was a breakdown of the system, but I can guarantee you that we weren't the first this happened to. It's unfortunate, because we need a well run, affordable, reputable used car dealer but the sloppiness of the transaction soured us. One point of humor - they give you breath mints to take the bad taste out of your mouth

Happy to be a repeat customer

Kenny was my salesperson and he worked quickly with me to get me into a car after I had a bad car accident. I had a great experience the first time I bought there and so it was natural to see what they had this time; and it was my dream car. I went up on a Monday and drove off on a Thursday. This is a very honest dealership with professional salespeople and managers. They stand by their vehicles and their prices are extremely competitive.

Ed Pannoni

Steve Kozar was our sales person. No pressure . Got answers to all our questions quickly. We found a great car at a fair price . Steve is very personable and accommodating. When we picked up the car we were in and out in 30 minutes and the car was fully detailed and they had addressed any issues we raised during our test drive and inspection to our satisfaction. Overall a very pleasant car buying experience. I’d recommend you see Steve if you are looking for a quality ride.

Great, exceptionalexperience

I found the car of my dreams! My mechanic told me to Visit Blasius Preowned on a Tuesday, and Thursday morning I drove away in a gorgeous nearly new Subaru Impreza! Jim and I found and discussed the car, I knew I was Interacting with a sales person and dealership with integrity and sincerity. The crew couldn't have been more accommodating, patient and efficient. Thank You Patton for " wrapping Things up " with insurance, plates and registration. Jay, the best test drive ever. I'm so happy to share my experience with friends... Just today, I recommended Blasius Preowned to my employer who's looking for new car. Excellent Team, incredible inventory. Very fortunate To have found them!

Best experience ever!

First review I've ever written in regards to a car buying experience but I feel impelled to do so in this case. Firstly this is not, as so many obviously are, a fake review. I not unlike you read all the reviews and on many sites they were obvious fakes by the sales people. My team, and they are a team, of Jason in sales and Jason in finance were no pressure sales professionals. It took me about 5 minutes to make a decision on buying a car from this group. Don't get me wrong, I did my homework, shopped around, met some slime xxxxx and some decent guys that " Just couldn't do any better on price". Do yourself a favor and check these guys out. I've been around, bought dozens of cars, wish I found these guys first.
