Good car, good people, good service

Dealt with Shawn. Easy to work with. Had minor problem with a switch after we got car home. Shawn took car back to dealership for warranty work. Expedited repair so we could leave town on time. Victor in Finance also as easy to work with. Very pleasant car buying experience. Robert and Mary Kay C.

Six months or so in to this...

As luck would have it...six months or so in this experience I was feeling pretty good about the whole thing. There were some minor issues upfront, silly and not worth repeating, but in the end I thought we got good customer service and a good deal. O.K... honeymoon is over. I had a little fender bender about two weeks ago. During the inspection of the damage, the body shop discovers that what was previously done to "correct" for an earlier incident, was either done incorrectly or not at all. Be Warned...the Car Fax report did show that the vehicle had been in an accident, where the issue comes in, is that the 'repair work" that was done seems to be lacking in quality. Yes from the outside the car looked great, and no issues with performance from a day to day perspective. That's the rub, its what you don't see, and don't know that will get you killed. Depending on the extent of the prior damage, the car could potentially be unsafe, of course had my accident been more than a minor fender bender, who knows what would have happened. I called the main number, and someone answered I was told that he would contact his GM and that person would contact me. I am waiting...I hope we can resolve this in such a way as to say...O.K. they took responsibility and corrected something that should not have occurred in the first place. Full disclosure may not be their strong suit, which is unfortunate, I really thought we were going to go back for a second purchase. I will update this review as times goes on, it could be reasonably simple to correct or its going to get really ugly. Selling unsafe cars, under the guise of fully functional, repaired cars cant be good for business. Not correcting the issue, that's just bad business. We will see....

The Worst Experience Ever

This place is horrible when it comes to customer service. I've had the worst experience ever buying a car there. Took all day to get the car financed. The 2012 mustang I purchased had little chips in the front windshield, chips in the front of the car in the paint, and had a strut issue that needed to be fixe. These things were put in the contract to be fixed by them to satisfy us for being a customer at no charge. When I returned to have the issue fixed, they gave us a horrible loaner car and kept the car a whole week. I received a call saying that my car was ready and that everything had been fixed. Got there and the windshield had been replaced, the struts were done also. The paint in the front had not been touched at all and I made it very clear to the sales rep and the manager. I was told the red color had to be ordered from ford and that when it gets there he will give me the paint so I can touch it up myself. This had me furious. We bought the car Dec 24th 2015 and 2 days later the battery was completely dead and had to buy a brand new one wich they would not reimburse me for but was told this car was in excellent condition and thoroughly checked before hand. I have yet to receive my license plates and it is Joe 1 week from the temp plates going out. I have made 2 calls and have not heard back from anybody. I will never be a customer of this place ever again and will not recommend anyone buying from here ever. The Richardson location seems to have good reviews though so save some time and maybe check that location out.

The Best

In December, my Mazda3 was totalled in a rear-ender and it was Christmas by the time all the insurance got sorted out. We wanted to upgrade to an SUV since we'd moved to the country, but we were looking for a good deal. That's what we found at Central Autohaus, along with warm and helpful customer service and tremendous willingness to -literally- go the extra mile. We were pressed for time and because of work commitments, we had to shop in the dark. Not the best way to do things, but life isn't perfect! Anyway, we found a great deal on a used Explorer and drove it home that same evening. When we found a couple of cosmetic glitches in the daylight on our USED vehicle, the folks at Central Autohaus were beyond accommodating, offering to make things right and providing a loaner car while they dod. We're enjoying our beautiful Explorer and feel so fortunate to have found these folks. Recommended.

Great Cars, Low price, Awesome Customer Service

I was looking to buy a car so I found one I liked while searching CarGurus. They linked me to Central Autohaus so I started navigating through their website. I found a lot of nice cars with low mileage and a good price, I decided to inquire about one of them and Karen quickly responded with an email. I wanted to know more information about the car, so I call the number listed on the website. I scheduled an appointment for a test drive and I loved the car. It was very clean and drove very nice. Karen explained different finance options so I decided to go for it. The whole finance process was a little long but it was worth waiting. I love my car, I love the fact that it is under warranty and it has not given me any issues at all. I sent my nephew to buy a car with them since it has been the easiest car buying experience I ever had. Once my nephew got approved for his own car, they sent me a check for $125.00 for referring him to them. I will definitely recommend to everyone.

Bought a lemon

We got a great deal on a 2009 Honda Pilot. Unfortunately, all four tires were mismatched (we asked them to give us two new ones but looking back, should have asked for all four). Also, there were no floor mats, pieces of the interior were missing (a piece of plastic in the back door), and the worst part which we didn't notice during the day, was the windshield had scratches all over it. It gets better though. We were given the "Carfax" report which turned out to be fake. It said "minor front end damage due to an accident". So we knew that ahead of time, but seriously, a little fender bender doesn't usually affect the overall performance of a car. So we went ahead with the deal. After several months to a year we kept having problems with the front end of the Pilot. It made noise when we turned that did not sound normal. Turns out we needed to replace the whole axel, which is almost unheard of as far as factory power train. Replaced the brakes and rotors. I can't remember all the other things that needed to be done, but the last time we had something fixed the mechanic said "you'll have to come back for some more work that will cost about $800". I had had enough, so I started looking into trade-in values just to get rid of the thing. Took it to Honda and they offered us $4000 when we still owed almost 12. They also informed us that the Carfax report rendered the vehicle TOTALLED. We had no idea and were completely fooled. Long story short... pull your own Carfax. Better yet, stay away from this place. All of their vehicles are salvaged from auctions and they just make them "presentable" (but from the sound of these reviews, they don't even do a good job of that). Go to a dealership and buy what you can afford. It will save you $$ in the long run.

Such an easy transaction!

Drove down from Sherman Texas after talking with Shawn the (sales person) and not sure if I was going to waist two hours of drive and half day of my life? After arrival at Central Autohaus everything went so smooth. Car was describe correctly and drove great with a great price tag. Easy transaction all the way through with great financing experience. Drove home and enjoyed my new car all the way to Sherman and thank god I did not have to do any more car searching. Thanks to Central Autohaus and their crew.
