Best Car Buying Experience Ever

I saw an add for a 2018 Ford Explorer Sport listed at a great price, so I decided to contact my bank and request a loan. I was in no hurry to purchase whatsoever, but I decided to go check it out anyway. When I got to AutoMax, I was greeted by “Lily” and she was very nice. In my personal opinion, I probably came off as an xxxxxx because I went in basically demanding the vehicle at an unreasonably low price and told her I wanted to speak directly with the Sales Manager, Christopher Raposo. She was very patient with me and took me for a test drive while we waited for Chris. Once Chris arrived, we threw out a couple of offers, and in the end, he gave me the absolute lowest possible price anyone could offer. He even took in my trade and matched what CarMax was going to give me. I am an Active Duty Military Member, and I can honestly say that they showed me their Military support and it was probably the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I urge everyone not to believe any negative reviews or posts that you may see on other sites. Thank you AutoMax and your Team.

Outstanding experience!!

My experience with Automax was outstanding! The vehicle that I purchased was mint, as advertised. My experience was made even easier by my sales person Gus. His professionalism and knowledge of the inventory was a great help to me making my purchase. Also, the final experience with Ana the sales manager was also quick and professional. I highly recommend Automax!

Smooth and easy purchase

Very straight forward and willing to work with you.

Excellent customer service

My experience with Automax has been perfect. Eddily is very patient, sweet & knowledgable. I can tell she genuinely cared about my situation & that’s rare to find. She helped me get a car in a timely manner & I couldn’t thank her enough for her professionalism & courtesy. A+ service.

Great Deal

We loved working with Eddily! She was extremely knowledgeable and worked with us to get us the best deal. Everything was explained up front to us and there was no hidden charges or unexpected challenges . I would recommend this dealership and especially working with Eddily! We were lucky to be referred to her by a good friend of ours

Love the car, not the service

I really like the car and did end up purchasing it. I didn’t like how the financial manager rushed me to put a small down payment to hold the car right after I test drove it. I work and live in Boston so I got there a half hour before they close and he told the sales woman to “make it quick for the test drive” and then was rude and pushed me to put money down to hold the car. The sales woman, although she was nice, she kept asking if I could come in the very next day to sign paperwork and finish the purchase at 1pm when I explicitly told her I couldn’t get out of work in the middle of the day to drive an hour for paperwork and then make a third trip to pick up the car again on another weekday. I was willing to sign paperwork and finish the purchase during the weekend if the car was still available. In the end, I was able to get there on a Friday by 330pm, and left with the car the same day. The financial manager then was kissing xxx because I went through with the purchase. His whole demeanor and attitude changed as I was signing paperwork. He is not tech competent so everything was done by hand which was a little frustrating and time consuming. I am currently waiting for them to send me my registration so I can get it inspected. The brakes are squeaking a little so that may already be something that I have to take it back for. I’ll see what else, if anything, needs to be done once I get an inspection. The car is beautiful though and I like all of the fully loaded options it has. All in all, car is great, service not so much. If this car had been at another dealership with better service I would have had a well rounded experience. I’ve been shopping around for a while and this car with all the extras it comes with was not found anywhere else that’s why I just dealt with their service and having to drive far.

Purchased a Lemon

At first everything seemed to go well. Once the paperwork was signed things went down hill. They told me that RI DMV takes a week or 2 to process registrations. That was a lie as I called the DMV and they told me that was not their procedure. I only got my truck a week after all of the paperwork and loan was signed and after I had a high ranking individual from RI DMV step in. When they delivered it to me, I noticed that most of the "We owe you" items weren't done. 1. Front brakes and rotors. 2. Missing grill in the front end. 3. Floor mats that I was promised. 3. New battery as the old one was obviously wearing down. 4. Additional key. 5. possible alignment or balancing as it pulled to the right. After not having the truck in my possession because of their awful process, I then needed to drop it off to get a FEW of the items resolved. Again, no truck in my possession for a few days. I got excuses as to why the items they "owed" me weren't done. "must have forgotten" Then a month later to the day that I purchased my truck, a new problem arose. I was stuck in a parking lot as my truck wouldn't start. I had to get it towed and was without it for another week. The issue this time was the entire fuse box needed to be replaced. After that was done they realized they they made a mistake and it was something else that was wrong. At this point I just wanted my truck back and in my possession. I tried to go to a Ford dealership to have it serviced but i couldn't until the dealer warranty expired. Next, my navigation and charging station inside the console didn't work... Went back again and was told they would order the part..... HAVEN'T HEARD BACK SINCE. NOW, 6 months later my truck is being serviced at a Ford dealership because it now needs a transfer case, drive shaft and right side control arm. Fortunately the only good thing that came out of this transaction was the extended warranty I purchased which is covering it all, THANK GOD! However, it has broke down AGAIN and has to be serviced. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to this dealership for a vehicle and I have told many people not to either.

Purchase of 2017 Ford Expedition Limited

I had a very short window to purchase a vehicle and the dealership and the sales rep meet all of expectations and then some. I was abke to work a finance plan that fit for me and not just the dealership.

Lily is perfect !

Lily was able to help me and be there for through every step of the way, Even on her day off she was still there for me when i had questions. I’m a super difficult customer and she was still able to deal with me and make this a great experience. If i ever buy a car again i will always go to Lily.
