Gulf Auto Direct

While this dealership is one of the best used car dealerships in Mississippi and have great customer service and sales members I have to give an update on my experience thus far with the car I purchased from them. I purchased it October 2023 and right from the beginning after purchasing it I have had to throw a lot of money into this car. The car had a shake really bad in the steering wheel from the time I bought it. It took me 2-3 months to figure out what the issues were after having Mack Grubbs Hyundai track down the issue. While Gulf Auto Direct did right by me and replaced the front brakes it still didn't fix the issue. So the end result is:11-23 I had 3 tires that had the belts inside the tires that were bad and one rim was bent as well causing the issue too. There is no reason for a car with 19,000 miles on it when I bought it to have 3 tires with low tread on it and plus all 4 tires were a different brand. They knew these tires needed replacing. You can't miss that when inspecting a car before they sell it and they sold it anyways. It's my fault for not throughly checking this before buying it so I've thrown over 800.00 into the car since purchasing it. It's finally done and car is in tip top shape. My advice to anyone buying a car from here please please don't let them rush you into buying the car until you have a complete second opinion inspection done on the car. That explains why I got a "as is" when signing paperwork. It doesnt help I am a female and dealerships take advantage of that. Lesson learnt on my end and I will never do that again as I'm now more informed on car purchases and what to look for and that includes the price I pay for the car out the door. Overall,I love my car and have had no mechanical issues with the exception of a hydraulic module go bad and that was a warranty issue and Hyundai took care of me and gave me a rental. Gulf Auto Direct is a great used car dealership and I will use them again but they sold me a car without throughly inspecting. Going forward if I buy again from them I will not be in a rush or let them rush me and take my time and have any car I buy from them inspected by a mechanic seperate from them because it's used not new..tires and all before purchasing it...period! I will recommend GAD but give my recommendation with caution. Last but not least do not let them talk you into giving a review of their dealership upon purchase of the vehicle. I left a review before leaving the dealership because salesman wanted me to. Don't leave a review until you know at your comfort level everything with the car is to your satisfaction. It's a big purchase and your money so be mindful of that. My CARFAX report on the car to current will verify how many times I had to take my car to the Hyundai dealership to get to the bottom of shake in the steering wheel. My CARFAX is proof of that. Thankfully my car is a smooth ride now.

This has to be the best experience I’ve ever had with a dealership. Not pushy very helpful very easy to do business with without a doubt!

The finance guy straight up lied and said Capital One charges compound interest. Then he trys to blame the GM for pricing the car too cheap. Meanwhile he tries to sneak in another 2500.00 on the finance agreement. The exact amount of my down-payment. Read everything they send you. Scammers

The guys and girls here are fantastic. We worked most of the deal over the phone and were able to finish everything at the dealership in just a few minutes.

My transmission went out in my other vehicle, so I had been wanting me an SUV, an Armada to be specific. I had been communicating with James for a couple of months, so when my transmission went out that done it, my husband and I agreed to do ahead and get this 2022 Atrmada and I called James and done all my paperwork online and the vehicle was delivered to me the next day.
