2020 Kia Soul

Long story short i had bought a 2020 Kia Soul GT-Line and at just under 6k miles the transmission went. After a battle between dealerships my dealership helped me into a new 2020 Kia Soul EX and paid off my old vehicle. The trade process and everything was done over the phone and since i had already bought a vehicle from them it was a pain free process, I would like to thank Nate (Sales Manager) for helping me out and Jack (Salesperson) for bringing my new car to me. Thank you for everything and i will only be buying from this dealership from now on

Poor and Unprincipled Dealer

poor and unprincipled company and owner. For the past few weeks, I had been talking with this dealership about a 2018 amg e63 wagon that I was interested in purchasing. Today I was finally able to drive up to see it with my family. I booked an appointment with Lynda to drive up and see the vehicle. I was told the car would be out front and ready for me to see it. When I got there the car was indeed outside in front however it was completely filthy as if it had been driven around for weeks. A rep came out and introduced himself; I asked for Lynda and he went inside to get her. The rep returned with the sales manager and stated Lynda was not around but they could help. I told them I was interested in buying this car. Immediately I was told I couldn’t drive it; I was shocked and insulted! I just drove all this way to see this car and this is the first thing they tell me. (Mind you I was never told this before hand) I asked why? I was told because the owner says “it’s only 1 of 6 in the country”. Still unsure as to why this would not allow me to drive it. I told myself okay, I’m still interested and I’d like to continue getting info on the car and to see the interior. The rep opens the interior and it’s filthy! Dog hair, crumbs, trash, a kids seat. Sure enough the owner has been using it as his daily joy ride! Here I am wanting to buy it and they won’t let me drive it after seeing this!? Seriously!? Even with all this I was still interested. I asked to put a deposit down and to have the owner setup a day where he can meet me to go over the car and to drive it with me. Even after wanting to put a deposit down, the owner (who is directing the reps over the phone at this point) tells me I cannot drive the car until AFTER I purchase it! I said I can’t buy this car without driving it, especially seeing as there are aftermarket parts on the car (of which one is the suspension!!) At this point I had enough. I had been insulted and treated so poorly by this dealership and owner that I left. Later that day I wrote an email about my experience and a Tom wrote back with a curt and insulting email. It’s unfathomable what they did and I would have anyone think twice about doing business with such a poor and unprincipled dealership. It's also worth noting they tried to pass the car off as a CPO. I explained this couldn't be possible. They eventually gave in and told me that indeed it's not CPO. They also tried to tell me the modifications were straight from mercedes. I told them that wasn't true and they back peddled saying its a different tuning division of mercedes. Again, not true and at this point comical.  Not one employee there had any clue about this vehicle. It's possible they didn't want me to drive the car till after purchasing as they are hiding something and as an informed enthusiast, I'd find out very quickly.

Dishonest and Inept

Lied throughout the sales process. Example - they said heated seats could be installed for $1500-$2000. Sounded high, so they said they could get them installed at their cost, and would get that exact cost for me. They came back and said it was just $1299. I said ok, even though it sounded high. Service didn't install the heating correctly. Had to go back several times, and it still has problems! I asked their Service what their price was, and they said $395.

Ran credit after being told it would not be done

I went in to Dan O'Brien to check out a Kia Stinger. After talking with the new sales associate, he insisted on getting some of my information, which I know is typical. I said I was willing to discuss price with him, but I didn't want anything to happen unless we came to an agreement. He insisted it would not be a hard credit pull, guess what it was? Correct, a hard credit pull. I can put up with a lot, lying is not one of them. Dan O'Brien Kia will never get my business, and I'll make sure to tell anyone who thinks about going there about my bad experience.

Be Careful With these Guys!

After 5 hours, I had to go to an appointment and took off in my newly used Kia Stinger and realized the gas tank was Empty. The previous owners personal info and "stuff" was still in the glovebox, back seat had dirt/small debris on it, and clearly wasn't reconditioned. I wrote to them and got nothing in return. Beware of this dealership!

Fooled

Bought a car from here last year. I did not get any of the extra warranty things and I'm not convinced it would have mattered anyway. Red flags were there right away...the car wasn't detailed (clean) when I showed up to look at it though I had set up an appointment days in advance to do so. Took it out and it seemed great, bought it that day. I was on a time crunch to get to work after purchase. About 20 minutes into my drive I see it needs gas, another red flag they didn't even give me a full tank and they knew I had a long drive back. Next thing I notice is the windshield has 3 dings in it. It was raining when I took it out, didn't notice them. Thankfully my insurance covered the replacement but time is money...Next 2 weeks I took it to my mechanic just to have him look it over, peace of mind. He said it was dry on oil...weird. So he changed the oil for me and gave it a pass otherwise. Started having engine issues within 2 more weeks. Turns out, this car eats up oil, every 300 miles it's down a quart. My options were to 1) replace the engine on a car that I just bought and owed nearly as much as an engine replacement (7,000 estimated) 2) have them dig into the car engine with an estimate of (3000 ) thousands, they could on top of that find the only remedy is a new engine 3) call the dealership and see if they would fix it, since they sold me a car that was broken in a very bad way. Turns out, there are no lemon laws in NH, how convenient. They only said they had no way to verify it wasn't something I did etc. and hey could sell me into another car...I'm guessing the calculations would not have been in my favor. So, I've been dumping oil in it every 300 miles since. So far, it goes. I cannot rec any less that you "steer" clear of this dealership.
