Brian and the whole staff were very personable and accommodating which made the whole process easy and painless. Will definitely buy another car from them.

Read between the lines

Take what they say with a grain of salt. They may offer you a “deal” but it comes at a cost. What a nightmare! Everything seemed perfect until we signed the paperwork. We were approved with the first lien holder then after we’d plated and purchased insurance on the car, we were told that the lien holder actually denied it so they would have to set it up with a new lien holder. When I spoke with the first lien holder they stated we were still responsible for the loan because it was not denied. They’d already submitted the new application with the new lien holder, before we spoke with them about the matter. It’s like making a mad dash to correct a mistake. It took weeks to even get the new information from the lien holder for payments. Luckily the car I picked out will take no time for me to pay off and I won’t have to deal with them anymore.

They will say anything to close a deal.

Not happy, I drive for a living so down time means no income for me. Worked a deal on what I thought was a good truck, asked tons of question about condition, any issues that might not pass dot inspection etc. Assured it was all good. Drive 6 hours to find it does have issues that will need attention. Pay with cashiers check. Told they will send title as soon as check clears. Explain its important to get title asap as I can't use truck until I get title and pass inspection. No problem you'll have it when check clears. Check clear in three days on Monday after I get truck. Two weeks have now passed and no title yet. Calledany time told twice it gonna be there in a few day. Still not here. These delays and the repairs need to pass dot have now cost me at least $1500 + and counting and they just don't seem to care To me it seems they will say anything you want to hear to close a deal and then blow you off after they have your check. Regardless of how that affects you. Don't believe them. Will not do business with them again.

STAY AWAY. SMOKE AND MIRRORS

My wife and I traded in a Pontiac g8 gt on a truck . The transaction was smooth and fast. But that's where it ended. We drove 2 and a half hours north for to this dealership ship. We purchased the truck and drive home .a day later the truck throws acode p0420 catalytic converters. Low efficiency. I call Dylan our sales man and told him what was going on . He assured me that Tailgate motors would not leave me hanging and that they would take care of it . Here it is almost 15 days later and nothing . So at this point I just had the truck fixed at a local shop 1000 dollars later . Thank you Tailgate motors for being two faced and liers. It only get better from here. Secondly 15 days later they still haven't paid they remaining balance of our trade in and now my wife and I are responsible for yet ANOTHER payment on a vehicle that we traded in . So we called Aj the finance officer at Tailgate motors and they tell us to make the payment and they will reimburse us our money just like they promised to help us fix the truck . PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE SMOKE AND MIRRORS THAT THEY ARE A GREAT DEALERSHIP !!!! THEY ARE NOT. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK . And the Pontiac g8 gt they have they haven't even paid it off how are they selling it .

Pickup issues

!!!!WARNING!!!! We purchased a Ford diesel pickup from this dealership and the warranty they offer. We only had the truck 2 weeks before it went into the shop where they diagnosed it as having cracked heads. We fought with the warranty on that before they agreed to pay for some of it. We no sooner got that repair done and the engine then spun 2 rod bearings we again fought with the warranty and they would only pay for 1 repair! The dealership that sold us the truck would not help they put the blame on the mechanic. I am not saying to not buy here at tailgate I am warning you before you do to NOT buy the warranty it is junk! And before you purchase a used truck or car from here to have a mechanic that YOU trust to give it a good thorough inspection. I am not impressed with this place and am sorry we ever did business with them!!

First Vehicle For Son

Super friendly staff and they fixed some minor issues on a used truck, that I purchased for my 16 year old son, that really just made all the difference in the world. I have an "almost" 15 year old, and I will be turning to Tailgate, again, for his vehicle, next year.

Wonderful people to work with!

Highly recommend tailgate motor to be your first stop when looking for a used vehicle. My husband and I worked with Brain and normally car shopping is the worst but Brian was so relaxing to work with. He got to know us and why we were looking for a mini van and unlike most car salesmen he actually showed us he cared and was very upfront with everything. They even fixed the front end of the van for us that had been previously hit. We were able to trade in our old car and the town and country we got is working great for us!
