Horrible post customer service

I recently purchased a 2017 bmw 5 series in December. The staff treated me excellently . The process was quick and seamless. However , 5 months into me having the car once the weather broke , my ac was not working , also a sensor went bad and my breaks needed repair . I haven’t even put 3k miles on the car since purchase . I called the dealership to let them know and they treated me like I was nobody . They didn’t try to help me or even take a look . They pretty much told me “ oh well “. I’m not saying I was sold a lemon but to not even try to help out on the fact that a car I just purchased has 3 major repairs in less 5 months is ridiculous . The manager Billy was not accepting any type of fault and tried to tell me it’s my fault . That just bad business . No dealership should sell a car to someone and they need 3 major repairs in 5 months . That unacceptable. They seem a little shady and I would never purchase cars from them or recommend anyone to them . Please anyone shopping with them be careful .

Unhappy customer..

I brought my car from here in September 2020 a BMW x6 n a 535i xdrive ..told al the needs to be serviced the car had 75,000 miles on it .now at 77,000 it doesn't push pass 60mph..I called safety net and nothing that needs to be repaired is covered under their warranty...catalyst converter, trust arms ,high pressure fuel pump..oil pan...when you call the office for assistance they pass the buck to Omar or Cassie..and al never calls back

Great experience

I have had several car buying experiences, and all of them were long and drawn out. Subsequently, I expected this car buying experience to be the same. However, I connected with Cartopia, and that was not the case. The entire process was painless. I actually left the dealership smiling. Not just because I got a great deal on a great car, but the entire experience was enjoyable. From the pleasant conversations with the employees, to the ambiance (furniture made out of airplane parts, which was both stylish and comfortable), the entire experience was amazing. If you are looking for a car, I definitely recommend that you give Cartopia a try.

Fair Price, Despite Hidden Fees

I bought my first car last weekend, and Cartopia made the process as easy as possible. I visited a number of different used car dealerships, and had, frankly, terrible experiences with the others. I was jerked around, bait-and-switched, told that certain advertised prices were only available if I financed, and given every other run-around in the game. Then I got to Cartopia, where I was welcomed in, handed the keys to the car I was interested in (which was perfectly cleaned and maintained - honestly, it looked like a new car), and offered a test drive within five minutes of arriving. When I came back and expressed an interest in buying, Cartopia held true to the advertised price, even though I was paying in cash. Yes, there were hidden fees - not only tax and dealer fees, but also an expensive documentation fee, and a $2000 "inspection" fee that I still don't totally understand. But the car was so well-priced that even with those added costs, I still paid a very fair price, at or below market value. And, again, the car was spotless, inside and out, whatever went to repairs or maintenance was well spent. Most importantly, there were no hard-sell tactics, and I never felt pressured to make a purchase I wasn't comfortable with. All of this is to say: know what you're getting into, and expect to pay an extra couple thousand dollars from the list price, but you can feel comfortable that you're still getting a fair deal from decent folks.

GMC Yukon

It’s my third truck, but this time was easy and comfortable. Al, And Omar were very helpful and fully explained everything during the entire process. Good job!!!!!

Horrible at time of purchase. DIDN'T BUY!

I went in to purchase a Jeep from Omar based off of the "all in" price that he had quoted and written down for me on Monday. This price was discussed over and over. When I went in today to purchase the Jeep, Omar had me change my insurance while he wrote up my contract. After I completed the insurance switch, I went to Omar's desk to finish the purchase and it was $6,000 more than what was agreed upon. I was shocked. I showed him the paper that he wrote out for me with the final price and he proceeded to tell me that it was his mistake and he didn't know where his head was that day. He DID NOT honor the price that he wrote down for me on Monday. After driving a total of 4 hours there and back between two days, I hope that this review will be helpful to others and that they go with an honest dealer.

Excellent Service after vehicle purchase

A short time after purchasing a used vehicle from CarTopia, we noticed an issue with the engine which turned out to be the tensioner and timing chain. The manager, Al Albik, went above and beyond of what he was required to do. He always responded quickly to my messages. He always explained in detail what they were going to attempt to do to fix the vehicle and kept us informed at all times of the progress. The car was fixed successfully and we now have the reliable used vehicle we were looking for. We drove 2 hours to purchase this vehicle and thanks to Al and CarTopia we would do this again and recommend others to go to CarTopia.

The Reason Used Car Dealers have a Bad Reputation

Stay away!! Purchased a car on a Saturday and agreed to pick it up on Monday after they made a minor repair. Got there for my appointment and they made me wait around for 2 1/2 hours until 5 minute before they closed. Delivered the car with 4 old, rusty, mismatched tires that weren't on the car on Saturday when I agreed to buy it -- those tires were shiny, MATCHING, and new. My salesman became rude and argumentative when I inquired about it, and ultimately walked away from me when I didn't buy his line of b.s. Took a week to finally get my deposit back. These guys are extremely shady. Beware!

THE FACT THAT THE CAR GOT SENT OUT TO A TIRE SHOP, SEPARATE FROM CARTOPIA OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BENEFIT FROM ANY TIRE CHANGES. ALSO TO NOTE YOUR CLAIM, WE OFFERED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE TIRE SHOP TO HAVE AN ALIGNMENT DONE FOR YOUR SAFETY. YOU DID NOT COMPLAIN OF AN ALIGNMENT OR ANY ISSUES WITH THE TIRES, BUT WE OFFERED TO GET IT DONE SO THAT YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT AT ANY GIVEN TIME IN THE FUTURE. THE DAY YOU SAW THE CAR, IT WAS DETAILED AND THAT IS WHY THE TIRES LOOKED SHINY. WHEN YOU RETURNED TO PICK UP THE CAR, IT WAS PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT THE TIRE SHINE HAD FADED, AND DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR TIRES WERE CHANGED! WE ALSO CALLED THE TIRE SHOP IN FRONT OF YOU AND ASKED THEM IF THE TIRES WERE TOUCHED, ON SPEAKER, AND YOU HEARD IT YOURSELF. THEY STATED THAT THEY ONLY PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT AND DID NOT TOUCH THE TIRES. YOU THEN HAD A BREAKDOWN AND STARTED YELLING AT EVERYONE WHO WAS TRYING TO HELP YOU AND CALM YOU DOWN. WE THEN OFFERED THAT WE RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT AND DOWN PAYMENT, AS WELL AS TERMINATE YOUR AUTO LOAN CONTRACT. YOU AGREED AND WE PROCEEDED INSIDE TO THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE, WHERE YOU YOURSELF SIGNED A RECEIPT FOR THE REFUND. IT IS OUT OF OUR CONTROL HOW LONG A CREDIT CARD COMPANY WILL TAKE TO RETURN THOSE FUNDS TO YOU. ASIDE FROM THE FACT, YOU WERE PRESENT AND WITNESSED YOUR REFUND BEING PROCESSED, YOU SIGNED FOR IT ON THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE! YOU ALSO COMPLAINED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, WHICH THEN REACHED OUT TO US, AND ASKED THAT WE PROVIDE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION, WHICH WE DID. THE BBB THEN REPLIED TO US, STATING THAT WE WERE NOT IN THE WRONG AND AUTOMATICALLY CLOSED YOUR CASE. BEFORE MAKING CLAIMS THAT A BUSINESS IS SHADY, WEIGH YOUR CLAIMS BEFORE WRONGLY ACCUSING US OF ANY WRONG DOING, AS WE DID OUR BEST TO HELP YOU THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS. YOU WAITED 2 FULL WEEKS BEFORE LEAVING A REVIEW, HERE ON CARS.COM. MAYBE IT WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE COME TO REALIZATION THAT OUR DEAL WAS MORE THAN SATISFYING AND ABOVE FAIR.
