2018 Chevrolet sunshade failure.
My daughter has a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox with a panoramic sunroof. It was purchased new. While driving the car In August 2021 she opened the sun shade and the clips disengaged from the track and the shade retracted immediately. Luckily she remained in control of the vehicle. She brought the car into the RK Chevrolet service department in Va Beach shortly after the incident. She was told that the item was not covered by the warranty as it is identified as “interior trim”. The service department further told her that they could not fix it; but the assembly could be replaced at a cost of 900.00. She was charged 50.00 for the diagnosis. Later she brought the car to my house and within 30 minutes we fixed the sunshade by reattaching the clips to the corresponding clips on the track. It has worked fine since then. It probably took the service technician about 10 minutes to xxxxx the problem and determine that it could not be fixed but they would be happy to replace the shade assembly for 900.00. Then the service department charged her 50.00 for doing nothing. The sunshade has not been used frequently in the time she has owned the car. Perhaps the design has a flaw in it which caused the malfunction. In any case I was disappointed with the service department’s treatment of this problem. I would not recommend taking a vehicle to R K Chevrolet in Virginia Beach for servicing.

Honesty and Ethics do not exist at RK used auto.
When I got there the 2010 car they said they had that I was interested in was not there. Talked me into driving a 2004 Toyota forerunner around the block. I bought the car paid 9000 cash while doing paperwork found out my license was suspended and I cannot get insurance until I straighten it out. They put me on the phone with Geico who illegally gave me insurance when I took delivery of the vehicle I found the air conditioner would not blow cold and wanted out of the deal they said no way I paid cash and signed as is and I own the car now. Geico sent me a letter saying they are canceling my insurance because I have a suspended license so now I’m stuck with a vehicle they would not let me out of illegally got me insurance that is now canceled and it’s sitting in my yard. I cannot believe they would not let me out of the deal when they knew it was wrong illegal and I was still in their parking lot. Please beware and do business with a more reputable dealer.

New trailboss 2021
Service light came on driving home. Took to dealer and motor was defective. Had to put new head on at 600 miles. Rk said deal with dealer who worked on motor. Can’t get gm to respond Either. Problem at 200 miles on new truck Absolutely no help from anyone

I had a bad experience in purchasing a vehicle a week before going to RK. I had been sold a vehicle by another dealer that looked great but turned out to be completely rusted underneath, from bumper to bumper. Luckily, I was able to return it but was somewhat soured with the experience and I am still waiting on the return of my substantial down payment. My family and I have purchased used vehicles from RK many years ago so I wanted to see what they had and how competitive their prices were. I really wanted a Subaru but didn't think I would be able to find one in my price range. I very nice man named Richard, in the sales department asked me a few questions and walked me over to a vehicle that was exactly what I was looking for. Color, model and price were all perfect. Due to my concerns on the condition of the prior vehicle, they told me I could have it checked out on my own to make sure it was satisfactory. They even had one of their managers come out and assure me that this vehicle had been thoroughly inspected, and allowed my son to attach a meter to test it himself. Everybody made me feel satisfied that I was getting a great vehicle. I have not had a "new to me" vehicle in a very long time but my experience at RK was more pleasant than I ever expected. I drove away happy.

Buying a car
Went to buy a car and it took over 4hrs to do the paperwork. Salesman was good but the financing was terrible. We didn't get all of our paperwork and didn't know where to send our payment. They won't return any calls. Communication is terrible. Skylar who is supposed to be the president of the company has no Communication skills. We had a problem come up and had called but no answers after a week so we drove up there and was yelled at and called Liars by Skylar. We was told by him that he had other things to do and couldn't help us and to make an appointment to come back. Don't go to this dealership because you won't feel important to them you'll get pushed aside and told that your taking up their time. This is the worst place to go to buy a car

Unorganized and frustrating to deal with. Called about a truck for sale at 8:50 am. Was told it’s available by Marcus and Ron Coleman. I think Ron has concrete in his shoes he moved so slow. Somehow within 10 minutes a the truck was sold the night before. Don’t waist your time. Greg Reynolds and Ron gave me a call and apologized for the mis communication. I would give them another shot.
