The staff at Wilkins Mazda is great! They are very professional and make buying a car a pleasure. My husband and I just purchased two new Mazdas and Pat, our salesman was great. Frank, the general manager was also very kind and helped us along the way. I highly recommend this dealership!

I recently broke down on I88.
I recently broke down on I88. My insurance would only cover a tow within 15 miles. Not being from the area(I live in Crystal Lake) I reluctantly had my car towed to Wilkins. I knew what was wrong. The alternator belt broke. They called the next day and told me I needed a new battery, new alternator and a new starter. Shocked, I asked about the belt. He said he would call me back in a few minutes. He did and said he had called me before the inspection was completed and the tech found the broken belt. All of a sudden I only needed a belt and tensioner. No more talk about a starter or alternator. I knew my battery was low. And with the alternator not working at full capacity, it wasn't getting fully charged. I actually paid to have my car towed from there. Who can trust a dealer who tries to take advantage of a customer? If I didn’t know the little I do about the car, I would have paid for new parts that I didn’t need. Even when I questioned the Service manager about the first quote, he wouldn't address the situation. In addition, they gave me a quote for over $600 to replace the belt and tensioner!!! Dealers like this are the ones who give all dealers a bad name.

I bought a pre-certified car from Wilkins Mazda.
I bought a pre-certified car from Wilkins Mazda. The car fax stated that there were no accidents. Soon after I brought it home, I found that there had previously been an accident involving the driver's side bumper. Rather than fixing it during the pre-certification inspection, it was sold to me with the busted bumper which had been taped together with duct tape. I found this bumper issue because the driver's side tail light was popping out and needed to be fixed. I took pictures to the dealership, spoke with the Sales office, then the Assistant Manager who told me that the dealership would fix it. When I showed up to have it fixed, I found out that the Assistant General Manager had quit 2 days prior. I then spoke with the General Manger who stated that they would not fix it. After driving the car for awhile the car felt like it was going to tip over when going around curves on the highway. When its wet outside my car slides all over the place. I can't imagine the safety issues driving it in the winter. I spoke with the GM at a different Mazda dealership who stated that these cars are only sold with Goodyear, Michelin, Yokohama or Toyo tires. When a mechanic inspect them, I was told that I had the cheapest China made substandard tires that are made, and that when its a pre-certified car the dealership is obligated to provide original tires for the model of my car.

Bought a CX5 from Brian Jack late December 2023. Excellent experience, highly recommend the dealership. Was able to take advantage of the zero percent financing. Brian provided and we tested a number of cars before settling for the CX5 Carbon edition.
