A good deal all the way around!
Shopping for a new car is a very large experience for a couple in their 70's. We also are not known for making up our minds quickly and had looked at and driven many vehicles at many dealerships. Bob contacted Cindy Crosby at Hixson in Leesville and we have been very pleased wit her excellent help in our decision. We have purchased the Toyota Highlander from Cindy and are very happy with the help, kindness, courtesy and friendliness we have gotten. It's a good deal all the way around!

Rebuilding an 08 F350 engine
I would like to give zero stars but that is not an option. I own a small business with a division in the Leesville area. I had an engine replaced less than a year ago by Hixon Ford. At the time they told me that I had water in my fuel system and I had bad gas and that destroyed the engine. So along with replacing the engine I also replaced the gas tank and fuel system. The total cost for my repairs to the truck was $16,000, even though my company has another location in El Paso Texas and the SAME repairs cost $5,000.00 less and with proof of what I paid Hixon Ford would not come off the price of the repairs!! Fast forward LESS than a year this rebuilt engine has less than18,000 miles and has the EXACT same problems. Hixson Ford told me that the engine was not warrantied because again it had bad gas!!! I have a fuel tank in my yard were all my fleet fill up and the only vehicle with ANY engine problems is this ONE truck. So not only did they refuse to stand behind the poor work they preformed they wanted to charge me another $16,000 for the repairs. They refused to take any responsibility and I ended up having the vehicle towed to Ford in Jasper Texas. Tow bill, engine work, and fixed A/C for $8,000.00. Hixson Ford in my experiences are dishonest, incompetent, and don't care about customer service or repeat business from local small business companies at all.

Great Service - New General Manager
Being in the military, having lived all over the United States and the World, Leesville, LA is definitely a example of how not to conduct Customer Service. Based on my prior negative experience /lack of Customer Service and rudeness, in general, I must add this Ford Dealership is a total contrary experience in respect to Customer Service. I turned in my vehicle on a Saturday at around 0800 am. There was some xxxx-ups at first due to some folks arriving late, however, once everyone was here, it went smoothly. I explained what I needed to be done to the Service Manager, who was responsive and polite. He asked if I wanted to be called for a estimate prior to performing the work, which they did. As the work took a few hours, I asked about available cabs in the area. The General Manager offered me to drive me home. Around 0930 I received a phone call with my approximately costs. Around 1200 I received a phone call asking if I wanted to get picked up or the vehicle delivered to the house. I paid over the phone and my truck was delivered by the Service Manager and the General Manager at around 1230pm. This is by far the best service I received from a Car Dealership. I would highly recommend the Service!

Unprofessional crooks!
I honestly don't even know where to start with Hixson Auto in Alexandria, La. They kept us there for 8 hrs. doing a very simple purchase (no trade in) on a used van. I was assisting a military spouse purchase this vehicle while her husband was deployed. I have done many vehicle purchases in my 18 yrs. being a military spouse and this place was by far the most difficult, shady, rude, unprofessional that I have ever seen. They waited until the lady's toddler had a meltdown after 8 hrs. of being there, then they whisked her off to re-sign the papers she had signed earlier (they claimed were signed wrong) at which point they snuck in an extra paper adding on a $2500 extended warranty on a vehicle that was only worth twice that amount. We had to drive 45 miles back the next day to get them to take it off, only after they gave her husband who called in from Afgh. a hard time over the phone. We got that taken care of but it wasn't w/out a huge headache. There's so much more to this story, but it makes my blood boil just thinking about it. I told them that day, in a kind but firm way, that I would never recommend them in good conscience to anyone, especially military families. I feel they completely took advantage of this young wife (who, by the way, is expecting twins) and did not treat this military family who was fighting for THEIR freedom, with any respect whatsoever! We caught them in many lies throughout this whole process. At one point they promised they had mailed an important legal document that they had accidentally kept, but three weeks later had not and when they found a document the buyer needed to sign for them to get paid for the vehicle (they made so many mistakes with this transaction!) they held the important legal document "hostage" until their document was signed. Very rude and unprofessional throughout the whole process. They also tried claiming the back tires on the vehicle were new, but anyone with a brain cell could see the wear on them. I took pictures of them and texted them out to various people who all agreed there was no way they were new. That was almost a slap in the face to try to convince us these tires that had cracks from aging were new! The only reason we went forth with the purchase of the vehicle is because the buyer's husband in Afg. had already committed to purchasing it, there really was no backing out at that point.
