Terrible customer service!

Bought used, let my guard down and was reminded to always be on guard for car dealers like this! I signed purchase agreement before I noticed major differential leak underneath that was messy and getting on the exhaust system. I was told that the labor is too intensive for a small gasket that needed to be replaced so they're not going to fix it!! They also didn't fix the headlight and parking lights that they promised so of course my new vehicle failed inspection. I had to call over and over and over to try to get them to fix this car and pass inspection but never got calls back or was told that person is off today etc. i had to threaten to use lemon law and they finally agreed to have another dealer fix the vehicle. The other dealer even gave me a loaner car while they fixed it , that is policy at ira Lexus! This fiasco lasted a few miserable weeks. I got rid of that vehicle, it had more issues and I didn't want to deal with anymore of this kind of aggravation so i lost about 2000 trading it in on something else, Somewhere else!!! Never expect a good time here! trying to get answers or permission to get the car fixed was awful and felt like they were hiding from me. Since I sold that car, I am now in the process of trying to get a refund on my aftermarket warranty that they sold me( a nice commission for them) make sure you negotiate when they try to sell you that! Nick told me he'd take care of it right away and would keep me posted about a month ago but never heard a thing and I can't seem to get touch with him. The warranty company told me it was still active when I called today. Hey nick give me a call about how that's going, thanks so much !

Dealer response

This person purchased a Lexus from us with ~100k miles. He lives in NH. When he got the vehicle to NH, it would not pass their inspection mostly all occurring because he had another dealer do a full workup on the car who then would not pass it. He refused to allow us to do the work as we are allowed to request via lemon law. He did not want to drive down. Eventually we just agreed to have his own Lexus dealer do the work to save any more headaches. Car was operating safely, just had an oil seepage which is common in older Lexus / BMW.

Consumer response

As of August 23rd. I am STILL waiting for a refund or even a response from this uncaring dealer. The warranty company processed and credited herb Connolly my refund on July 15 but herb Connolly still hasn't given me my money back? Not even a response. Maybe new car buyers are treated well but as a used car buyer here I obviously am not worth their time!

Everything went great on our service visit, the car was done on time and everything works well ,we couldn't be happier it was a great experience .

Saved money having dealer service my AC

My 2011 Acura RDX AC failed at 90,000 miles. Took it in to the dealer. I was originally written up for the standard AC recharge & inspection charge. Upon inspection, the dealer found the clutch had failed and the failure was covered under my extended 7 year 100K miles warranty. So the dealer gave me a loaner car since the fix was going to take more time than I could wait and texted me when it was ready. The dealer replaced the AC clutch, did the recharge, reinspected the system and removed the standard charge. My bill was $0.00. I wasn't even thinking about warranty repairs. I just wanted someone who knows Acuras inside out to do the work. Had I gone to a local shop to "save money" this would have easily cost $500 to fix and no loaner car.

Fabulous Car Buying Experience

Honest, helpful, no BS car buying experience. Best transaction ever, gorgeous car, excellent customer experience. Competitive pricing. In an online information age, there is so much information available and so many car buying tools that it is easy to get lost or assume that those tools net the best pricing and experience. Don't waste your time. The Connolly team is forthcoming, professional, competitive and value your time and knowledge. No tricks here, just straightforward discussion. I never thought I would be able to get into an Acura but they made it possible and I could not be happier. They also excel at customer service and I will be using them from that as well.

A very big thank you to the folks in the service dept at Herb Connolly Acura! After several frustrating problems with my MDX, they helped me get everything fixed and at reasonable prices. Having access to a loaner-car was a huge help, plus they were wonderful in keeping me updated and understanding of the service process of my car. Overall a great experience and I really appreciate all their help!

Great Dealer-Great Service

Not only do I love buying my cars here ( I drive an MDX and wife wife drives an RDX ) but I also love the service they offer. When I use to own a Volvo I would get screwed every time I took it to the dealer. I was very leary of going to another dealer for service after I bought my MDX from Herb Connolly. I can honestly tell you that they offer the best service and their rates are incredibly reasonable. They never try to find other things that are wrong with your car so that they can charge you more. They are quick to make an appointment and their service is excellent and really fast. I highly recommend this dealership to buy a vehicle and to service that vehicle.

new battery

I called with a problem starting my car and I was able to schedule a service appointment first thing the next day. In one hour , my problem was solved and my car was ready, all washed and vacuumed.. I was also given a heads up about a potential problem with my exhaust system and told of a range of options to think about. In my experience this thorough check up every time I bring in my car has allowed me to keep my car going in excellent shape for almost thirteen years.

Professional and honest
