The service department is terrible.
The service department is terrible. I’m active duty military and usually have my spouse bring the car for oil changes. After the 20K mile oil change the oil light started coming on before the next oil change. By the 40K oil change the oil light was still coming on and we made an appointment and was told the engine was leaking oil and we could pay out of pocket for repairs on a car that was under warranty. Then we were informed the part needed to fix the car was on back order and they couldn’t give an estimated time but would call when the dealership had one. The service guy called and said it was a manufacturer defect and the dealership would pay to fix it. My spouse and myself took a trip to move our daughter and half way to Alabama the oil light was on and the car was leaking almost as fast as you could put it in. It took 6 of the 5 quarts oil jugs to get the car back to VA. My spouse called the dealership and was told to bring the car in and they would provide her a loaner car. My spouse took the car to the dealership and was told they didn’t have the part to fix the car and they couldn’t give her a loaner car. She was then told she could call the company and see when the part would be available to the dealership. She called and was told they couldn’t tell her anything. Our car is sitting at the dealership my spouse had to get an Uber home and still no clue when the part or car will be fixed. I have worked customer service for 30 years and this is by far the worse I have been part of. My spouse told the service department the car was leaking oil after 20K miles and was treated like she didn’t have a clue what she was talking about. This was the first Volkswagen I have owned and I will never buy another one and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone in the military that deploys and spouse helps to get the oil change in the car to be treated like this way.

Everyone, literally everyone greets me, yesterday's Service Writer was busy when I pulled up cuz I was about six hours early for my appointment - I was simply dropping my car off for my 1:30 appointment. Dylan, another Service Writer smoothly took me. She didn't miss a beat and arranged my Shuttle ride. And I made it to work on time 🙌.
