No pressure service

River was GREAT at helping me pick out my dream car. He did not pressure me or overwhelm me at all, and made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. They really worked with my budget and offered great deals and financing options.

Sir Walter

A customer service representative from Sir Walter contacted me to apologize for the time I lost waiting for an oil change. They offered to pick up my vehicle and perform the service. Thank you.

UNETHICAL & UNCOOPERATIVE

Shocking NO REPLY from ANYONE!! Only deleting (censoring) to ignore the truth! UNETHICAL & UNCOOPERATIVE do NOT buy from the USED car dealership here! Let me begin by stating that much of this is fact, but the emotion I am feeling is opinion based. Their website boasts of "at Sir Walter Chevrolet we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the best complete automotive experience." My experience was complete. HOPE that I had finally settled on a vehicle after months of searching and driving nearly 2 hours to the dealership. FAITH and TRUST in the words of the salesman and the team that did the quality check of the vehicle before selling. HURT and DISTRUST in the "people" at the dealership when they failed to be willing to help with an issue the salesman even admitted to the "sales manager" he saw (see further). ANGER and FRUSTRATION when the "sales manager" repeatedly stated "I am trying my best" but there is "nothing" we can do...nothing?!?... nothing?!? I purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium from these "people" just over three weeks ago. During the test drive I noticed that the check engine light was illuminated. I asked the salesman about the light and he informed me that he would check on it as soon as we returned to the dealership. He was true on his word and informed me that the reason for the light was because of a safety recall that Ford had. (mistake #1) I took him at his word that this was the reason. He informed me that if I took the car to any Ford dealer they would fix the issue and the light would go away (truth). Being in education for over sixteen years, as soon as I returned to my hometown I was immersed in prepping my classes for distance learning. Attempting to be as creative as possible so as to not just "spit" out content. I also worked with many of the educators here get familiar with technology as many of them were not as "tech savvy." So it took me a week before I could free up time to take the car. I took it and Ford fixed the recall part. I noticed that the light was still illuminated and had them check the car again. Initial diagnostic showed a "voltage disparity" (whatever that means) but that I would have to leave the car for them to perform a more thorough check. That leads to this week. I called the "people" at the dealership and left two messages, both early in the work day. I did not receive a call back. I was wanting to inform them and see if we could come to some sort of resolution. I had to call back TWICE the next day because no one would return my calls. Upon explaining all that occured, I let the "sales manager" know that I did note on the contract that the car needed to be taken for a recall fix. At this point the "sales manager" (who did go check the contract) let me know because I did not write that the light was on could do "nothing" to help me out. That I am responsible for whatever fixes need to be made. He also made it a point to emphasize the fact that I didn't know it was actually a "service due" light and not a "check engine" light (how am I to know the difference - thanks for highlighting my ignorance over an industry in which I am not a professional... real "man" thing to do). This is the "short" version of my COMPLETE buying experience. I would say a new car from this facility would probably be ok as far as I can tell. However, I would STAY AWAY from the used car lot as they are only concerned with the MONEY!! Lastly, let see if the owner does truly read these as stated on their website....

SIR WALTER RALEIGH CHEVROLET

Abdul (Sales) and Tyler (Service) were both excellent. Started with Jeramy Bull the Sales Manager, who was also fantastic. No pressure, so polite, and every detail was covered. Made leasing my new Malibu a pleasure. Will never go to another dealer.

Recall Resolution/ ALL service with SIR WALTER CHVROLET

We have been doing business with Sir Walter for many years. Our service has always been courteous and professional. Recently, Mr. MIKE CARLSON (MANAGER) handled a recall for us that we had tried for months to resolve with GM..As a native of this area, this quality of service is what makes a customer for life. As well, Christian Swan has always done a great job for us...

Great experience buying a used Jeep Wrangler

I had been looking for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for several weeks when Sir Walter Chevrolet posted a great 2012 Rubicon with low mileage and a good price. With the 150 mile trip each way for me, my son (a huge Jeep fan) checked out the condition of the vehicle and took it for a test drive to check handling and performance while I worked on finance and insurance. Nate was really excellent at answering my questions and coordinating the process and Scott was able to beat my bank’s best financing deal, and find me a solid warranty for the next 4 years! And they delivered it to my driveway with a smile! Very smooth process for being long distance and with the coronavirus issues going on. Very happy customer!

If you cannot show and sell a vehicle... why being a dealer

Just massive bait and switch. Show decent price for the good trucks. Once I schedule a VIP test drive arrived to the dealership and just to find out that Sir Walter "forgot" to specify on their website that truck is a special edition many features deleted. Twice they told me that the advertised truck in transit to them with no ETA... if you feel this the type of experience you want from a dealer, Sir Walter is your dealer of choice. My problem is that I am finding that most of NC GM dealers are like that "can't care less to sell and to service" dealers...

I keep missing the good sales people at Sir Walter

This dealer is one of the larger in the Triangle and I suspect there are good people work there but I keep missing them. I am getting folks that keep playing tricks with me of bait and switch. If General Manager allows this behavior on his sales floor then this review will have zero effect but just be aware of my experience with them. E.g. 1)they refuse to provide me with exact quote pricing where I can see what I am paying and for what 2) they list truck as being in stock but when I ask for test driving, I am being told that is actually is not in the stock 3) their prices do not include mandatory accessories that this dealership refuses to take off as this is their profit 4) The country is on quarantine and they are telling me to come to see the actual deal sheet. How much more wrong does it need to be before it gets better. I copied their Sales GM but I am sure all I am going to see here is his canned response "please call us and we will make it better..."
