Reliable & Fun to Drive

The TL is an extremely well rounded car that has a ton of options. An 04 TL as as many if not more technological options as many new cars today. They are way ahead of the game. Only negative is that it seems to burn through tires fairly quick. Don't know if it's the suspension or the way I drive??? I now have 145,000 miles and have not had to do anything but routine maintiance.

Second Acura - 2004 TL

Acuras are great highway touring cards and are also fun on a windy mountain road. They are very quiet - I have a speeding ticket from Central Colorado when it sure didn't sound like I was going fast! Hey, it was a beautiful day and I wasn't in a rush either. The seats are very comfortable and four adults will be happy. Decent MPG on the highway - close to 30, but 18-20 in town. ABS breaks are good. Sound system is above average and great for a typical couple. Zero special maintenance in the first 50K miles. Not a single stupid thing has broken or failed. Some small negatives: tire size is sometimes hard to find, poor performance in snow (we park it a few days each year in Colorado), dash LCD has weird menu and is tiny. We owned a 1990 Acura which is still running - my daughter has it with 200K miles. It was one of the reasons to look again at Acura ~ and in 4 years, I like this car a lot.

Best car ever

I've had this vehicle for like a year now it is running great.. no problems at all. The Japanese engineering is getting over the german ones as they are not as expensive and the german and more reliable besides CHEAPER.. i was wondering of buying 06 passat but a lot of people said that you will hate it after it reaches 50 k miles on it.. BUY THIS CAR

Fun & Comfortable

We've owned our TL for about 4 months now and love it. It's sporty in handling and looks but very comfortable and roomy on the inside. It also gets great gas mileage - in town it's around 25 mpg but on the highway it's well over 30 mpgs (not bad for an incredibly responsive V6). The features are great overall, however the handsfree link isn't compatible with all phones (we have Samsung Blackjacks), and we found that out after buying the TL. Love the car though and now we're intending on buying new cell phones that are compatible so we can take advantage of that feature too.

Excellent value!

I bought a CPO 2004 recently and it's fantastic. Love the stereo and interior styling. Got the Camel leather seats and they are SHARP! Lot of great compliments, especially regarding the interior. Getting between 25-30 MPG with mixed and highway driving. Got 29 on a long trip after I purchased it. Best sound system I've heard in a vehicle and the blue lights are easy on the eyes. Plus you get the reliability of an Acura product and it's made in the USA!! I would recommend this vehicle to anyone. Looked at the Volvo S60 and Audi A4. This TL has more interior space and HP than either. Plus the reliability is much better than the Europeans.

my 3 accords was more reliable then this car

bought the car oct 2003, 04 model new, now have 83,000 miles. canceled my extended warranty since no problem upto 80,000 miles. after a few weeks later my compressor belt and my power steering belt needed to be replaced. 900.00 damaged so please keep your extended warranty. my 93, 98, 01 accord had 0 problem and they had high milage too. I usually change the oil 3,000 miles and the trans oil when needed so the car is well cared for. the leather seats don't hold up and I weigh less then 130. also the car needs high octane. besides my problem I would recommend this to my friends which 2 of them did buy the car. waiting for 2009 TL coming this fall ;)

Great car to own for family

I bought my car in my 20's. My wife and I had a son who was 3 at the time so he was in a booster seat which fits nicely in the back seat. Performance and handling on this car are terrific. My previous car was a Cadillac CTS which had a decent interior but poor performance and dull styling. Everyone mistakes this TL for a BMW when they first see it and actually I picked it over the 328i.

100% Satisfied. I LOVE my TL.

I bought my TL used in March 2007 and I absolutely LOVE it. It is very responsive and fun to drive. Engine is quite quick. Also, I had Crank it Up car audio install a Clarion DVD Player (MAX675) with full IPod integration and the navigation as well (NAX970HD). I had several people tell me that it could not be done. I previously owned a 1995 Integra that I bought brand new. I was so happy with it, I stuck with Acura!

rattles and tires wear fast

Bad tires - rattles like a cheap sedan - 10 delivery defects - poor dealer maintenance - concept is great - looks good - hopefully newer models have the rattles and tires fixed

Lot of fun with little money

I own 2000 3.2TL also. I have over 150,000 miles on that and I am hoping, I will put even more miles on this 2004 TL. My complain is only voice commands. It gets confuse very easily. Other than that this is a great buy. You will never want to come out of it.
