2005 Acura TL consumer reviews

I love this car handles great. Comes loaded with great sound system, blue tooth, power everything, navigation as only option. I have the 6 speed manual transmission and this car is fast.

Purchased '05 Acura TL with 78k miles, fast, responsive, and loaded with everything, interior is elegant and refined. A great purchase, look forward to getting into it every day.

Recently bought this used. Most impressive feature: very stylish, even after five years. Tons of interior features -- a highly intelligent car. The 270 HP engine accelerates with a snap. Brakes are awesome. Handling feels tight and "European" (a big compliment). Front wheel drive is not for everyone, I suppose, but I like it. Dealing with Illinois winters, I certainly wouldn't want RWD. (Would prefer AWD, which reportedly is available on more recent models . . . maybe someday.) Like the in-dash, six-CD-stack player. Not sure what else the Acura designers should have done with this vehicle. So far, we're extremely pleased with this vehicle, which gets great reliability marks from the consumer guides. Seemingly, a great value.

I bought my 2005 TL used in Oct. 2008. It only had 25k because previous owner just drove in in the summer. Could not be happier with the car. I am looking for a second car and may get another used TL or TSX.

Having had a 2000 TL and a 2002 TL-S before, putting 100,000 miles + on each of them as well @35,000 miles/yr. (while driving others too), this stands up to the reputation too. However, there were some nagging points to mention. The driver's door in opening and closing, is as unwieldy as an old Caddy coupe: like a 2 ton barn door. Don't dare put a drop of any other power steering fluid but Honda's specs. to fill up; it will growl like a lion, until the p.s. pump's replaced. The turning radius on all of them ciontinue to be worse than a Mack Truck's. Get out of playing the fad with the all rim, no tire 17" or 18" wheel, the road feel difference is not at all noticed over a 15" or 16" wheel, the tires life is half as long and it wears on the suspension, forcing people into seriously considering buying 4WDs. And yet despite others notes, there has never been any troubles whatosever experienced with any of the transmissions.

This car is such a nice car I love it.It handles so well also it is so comfortable.As soon as I sat in this car I fell I love!!

The 3rd Gen TL is by far the best sedan Acura has build. I personally have an A-SPEC and I love it!!

This car is incredible, I have a 2005 with Navigation. I've had navigation in my car before, but none of the others can compare to the quality of this one. It drives like a dream, I love the interior, the exterior, highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it.

The first time I test drove this car I knew it was the right one for me. It was a little hard to get into but I ignored that. The seats are very comfy, but also supportive. The cabin was beautifully designed. Every time I drive my car I have a smile on my face. I have put nearly 50,000 miles on my TL and there has been not one problem. The 270hp engine zooms past many other cars while still keeping the the inside as quiet as a mouse. The nav-system is big and easy to use and the sound is wonderfull. i would gladly recommend this car to anyone!
