TL SH-AWD White paint mismatch

I financed my 2009 TL SH_AWD on Oct 2009. It supposed to be a Diamond pearl exterior colour per Acura Specs. Instead it is a color mismatch of shades between the body and both the fenders. Contacted Acura Customer service and was told that they know of the color mismatch but it is part of their painting process and they can not do anything about it; meanwhile the local dealership offered to paint the fenders in order to match the color. I asked the Customer Service to send me a written response about this, to which the answer was a plain "NO". Please be aware if you consider buying the white TL. Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, etc., do not have the color issue.

Acura Perfection TL

I had the Acura TL-S 07 and was convinced to move to the new one Acura TL 09. Didn't get very impressed because I loved the TL-S but how surprised I was when i test-drove the car. It was almost the same as my TL-S with more comfort and equipment. So I decided to move to the new Acura TL. Congratulation to Acura again! They've made the perfect car again!

Invigorating Performance + Stunning Looks

I applaud Acura for finally taking the lead with a fresh bold design for the TL. The car?s styling is simply brilliant--- inside and out. The superbly integrated Tech. package brings the car?s substance on par with its stunning looks. The car feels solid and stable at high speeds; torque delivery is instant and linear; the steering is precise; and the suspension delivers a taut sporty ride without feeling harsh on rough roads (thanks in part to the excellent choice of 245/50R17 Michelin tires). I also love all the goodies that come with the Tech. package---the hi-res. voice-activated nav. system, the backup camera, the keyless entry system, the 440 watt HDD-based audio system, HandsFreeLink, and the supple leather. And they?re all amazingly intuitive. For the last 15 years, I?ve only driven German cars. Before buying the TL, I also considered Audi A4 V6, BMW 535xi, VW CC VR6, Infiniti G37x, and the Lexus ES350. In this bunch, the only car that topped the TL w/ Tech. package was the ?09 VW CC VR6, but only if you could live with its two-seater rear arrangement ... and I could not! So, all things considered, my final analysis led me straight to the TL.

Best bang for the Buck

After test driving Lexus ES, BMW 5 series and the Infinity M, I decided that the TL was the best way to go. This car drives unbelievable in dry and rainy pavement. The stereo system is one of the best and every time I take it to the car wash I get nothing but compliments. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Great Value - Drives like a BMW

The exterior design is not for everyone, but just about everything else is. Great drive, the tech package is fantastic, and its also a usable car for people with kids (I have 2 under age 5).

Acura Does it Again

Recently purchased a 2009 Acura TL AWD w/tech package. I decided to buy this car only after comparing it to the BMW 530xi, E300 Class Merc AWD and an Audi A6 AWD. I compared one Japanese sport sedan to 3 European AWD sport sedans. They all have 3.0 liter engines, all are 6 cylinder cars except the Audi (5) and all are AWD vehicles. I chose the Acura over the others because it offered the most for my money. It has more horses then the others, it has more optional equipment given as standard and has plenty of torque. I also believe the AWD system is superior to the others. The Acura's sound system is also superior to anything else being offered by the European sedans. The Acura is not the fastest but for the United States, it's fast enough. The suspension system is tight and feels like a European system. The finish easily is as good if not better then the European cars. It looks pretty cool too. What more could I want? A star? A horse collar? Not this year. Kudos to Acura for getting the TL right.

Grill solution

Have not bought it but looking to replace a 2004 RL. Wife has a 2007 MDX and have owned nothing but Acura's for the last 10 years. Just took the wife's MDX in for service and looked at the showroom models. My dealer is painting the entire grill assembly to match the body color on some showroom and loaner cars. WOW! It makes those TL's look like a custom car. A great solution for those that do not like the odd shape and overuse of chrome from the factory.

2009 Acura TL-SHAWD w/Technology Package

I have owned Honda's and Acura's since 1992. My latest was the 2004 Acura TL and after five years and 128,000 miles it was time for a new one. When I first saw the 2009 body style I was very disappointed. So disappointed that for the first time I decided to look at BMW and Infiniti as well. I test drove a 2009 335xi, 535xi, and Infiniti G37 Sedan. The 335xi was the best handling car I have EVER driven. I can see why enthusisasts are attached to this car. But it's too small for me. The 535xi was nice but not as fun as the 335. The Infiniti was very fast but the 7-speed was busy as reviewers have posted. All three cars lacked the same thing that the TL has. A oomfortable, modern, technologically rich interior. The BMWs' interiors were archaic compared to my 2004, let alone the 2009. The Infiniti's interior was bland and small. The radio was not as good as advertised. The 2009 TL is not as fun to drive as the 335 and is not as fast as the other three cars, however the Acura TL offers the best value and amenities for someone that drives 25,000 miles/year and enjoys both the driving experience and interior entertainment. I am very pleased with my purchase and now love the new body style. The wheels on the SH-AWD make it look 100 times better than the base model and the car looks very modern compared to the BMW's and Infiniti.

TL SH-AWD easily beats 5-Series, E-Class and A6

Purchased TL SH-AWD w/o Tech Pkg over 09 Audi A4, Infiniti G37, MB C-Class and Lexus IS350. Prior 2 cars were 03 BMW M3, 06 Audi S4. The new TL SH-AWD is hands down the best bang for the buck for "drivers". Plus you get legendry Honda durability, technology and residual value. The Acura actually takes on the BMW 5-Series (not 3), Audi A6 (not 4) and MB E-Class (not C) -- check the specs and test drive. Fit and finish is immaculate, but best of all it is a blast to drive. It is no Audi S4 - but who cares, becuase the overall package is far superior. The the Acura AWD technology is mind blowing. BTW - first scheduled maintenance is at 100K miles. Well done Honda.
