Great Value for the Money
I looked at the TL in 2004 but with a family of 4 it was a no-go because of the room in the back seats. I thought the new 2009 model was fnally adequate so I bought the car. I just got the base 2 wheel drive without the tech package for a price well below the price I expected to pay. It may be buying on Jan 2, 2009 but way below sticker and nearly at invoice. No other car can match that with the performance. I test drove the Accord V6 and it was just plain boring and didn't evoke any emotions in me. I am coming from 2 SUVs so this car handles like a dream to me. People may not like the new grill but after parking next to an older TL (not sure of the age), it looked like a grandpa's car to me. This car looks modern. All my friends like the look. No nay-sayers yet. Anyways, my only gripes are no fold-down back seats (which I knew), big wide tires (going to cost me to replace), and the shifter doesn't have an indicator next to it (it does on the control panel in front though). Maybe I'm missing something on that last one. Backing up is tricky as there are some blind spots and the seats will not be for everyone. I love the headlights. There may be other cars which are faster, better handling (check the SHAWD model), nicer interior, better stereo (get Tech package if you must but the base stereo is pretty darn good), but for this price??? Forget it. Driving so far has averaged right around 20 for local and highway combined. Waiting for that first long trip to see what it can really do. By the way, I'm no speed demon but laugh when the camrys, accords, SUVs, etc get on my tail or try to pass. The power is instant and throws you back into the seat. My kids keep telling me to stop it.

very Impressed
After driving in an SUV for the last 15 years, it was time to go back to a sedan. My search started with 10 choices ranging from the Chevy Malibu to BMW's 3 series. As I visited each dealer I quickly narrowed down my final choices based on price, styling and driving enjoyment. While I admit to being influenced by the styling of the car, I compared each vehicle with the same features and wanting to keep the 36 month l5k/year lease with $0 money down to $ 500/mo. First up was the CTS w/AWD, while I love the styling and even with its $10k rebates, I could not get the price under my limit. Next was BMW's 328xi, while strickly being sold by its reputation and since I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs. I knew comfort wise this was not the car for me. Next was Audi's redesigned A4, with its reputation, its styling had something to be desired and its price got itself eliminated quickly from my list. I then took a look at VW's new CC w/FWD. Very nice looking car, a little expensive but I was gun shy about a first year car. The same goes for the redesigned Maxima w/ sports pkg. Beautiful car and very expensive, I just didin't want to be the cars first ginnie pig. The same went for the Mercedes 300C, a little stiff for taste and pricey. I took a glance at the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Saturn Aura and knew right away I'd be basing my choice strictly on cost and would be unhappy in no time and unless the $ 100/mo. was important I just could be satisfied and settling on any of those cars. I finally narrowed my choice to the G35x and the Acura TL. The '08 G35x was being offered since they were holding back the '09's since the dealers had excess inventory. The styling has been somewhat played out and the interior was a little snug but the car handled great. The final price was about $25/mo less then the '09 TL I went with. This is the first Japanese car I've driven since my Datsun 300z. For the money the car offeres everything one would want in a sports/luxury car. The tech package has a lot to offer but at $ 3500 extra I couldn't justify it. Even my kids were impressed by the look of the car and the way it handles. I'm sure I'll be happy for the next 36 months with my decision.

Comfortable compared to my G35
I leased a TL a month ago. The exterior styling is a bit weird. The interior is very comfortable. After 6 Infinities, including 2 G35s, I was ready for more driver comfort and a little less interior hardness. The TL does that. Handling/steering is different, but not deficient from the G35. I don't need or have a place to do 0 to 60 in 5 seconds and the TL holds it's own in the acceleration dept. I'm a musician and appreciate the superb sound system! By the time my lease is up, I should have the computer/nav system figured out. It's a $40,000 gadget on 4 wheels. So far, I like the TL better than my '07 G35. We're still in the honeymoon period.

Another hit!!
This car is a luxury car that delivers anything anyone could ever want. The styling is sleek and aggressive, and the all new engine is very smooth. I traded in my BMW 550i in for this vehicle and it feels like an even more expensive car than the BMW was. I love this vehicle and have no regrets at all! I can't wait for the 2010 6-SPD; that will be my next vehicle. I will not buy anything but Acura from now on!
