2018 SQ5 blown engine at 40,000 miles.

2018 SQ5 blown engine at 40,000 miles. This has been my wife’s car to drive around Boise. So do the math…$55,000 purchase for 40,000 miles. New engine estimate is $30,000. Trade in value of vehicle with current blow engine will be well below $10,000. The long term reliability of this vehicle based on original cost is ZERO.

Reliable Audi SQ5

This is my wife car but after several years of ownership, I can say that the SQ5 prestige is a winner. Other than routine maintenance and brakes once, we have had no issues. Great vehicle super comfortable and reliable.

Very reliable in 5 years of driving.

Bought it brand new in 2018. Still got it in 2023 with over 80k miles on it. Super reliable all those years. That was the biggest surprised. We knew we'll get comfort and performance but never counted on reliability. What a great surprise.

Great and fantastic place to come

Great and fantastic experience. Curtis and Michael are nice and willing to help. Robert explained everything and walked me through the paperwork really patiently. Will strongly recommend and comeback again!

This Vehicle checks all the boxes

Before purchasing this car we test drove every SUV we could find 3 Land Rovers, 2 Jags, 2 Mercedes, 2 Volvos, the Q3, Q5, Porsche Macan, Infiniti, Lexus, Tesla, and one or two others I am missing. My wife is not a car person but she was adamant she wanted the SQ5. It is phenomenal how this car can go from extremely comfortable, to Visceral and Exciting by simply putting it Dynamic and Sport Manual. Our friends find the acceleration surprising and they are shocked by the growl and exhaust burble when you manually downshift through the gears. The Nappa leather seats are incredibly comfortable, the normal ride is on par with some of the best luxury sedans around. It is a pretty heavy car but that only becomes apparent during aggressive driving through the twisting curves. It has a very strong tendency to understeer. Power and acceleration are excellent and it cruises at or above freeway speeds effortlessly. The entertainment system is my only complaint because it has too many levels there sis not a simple intuitive flow to select the things you want easily and sometimes it gets confused which phone to connect when we get in with two paired phones. Our lease is up and we are looking at a 2021 with the new styling and interior updates. the touch screen update to the entertainment system are hopefully much more intuitive.

Oil consumption at 15000 miles

Love front end styling & it’s powerful indeed. Very disappointed in having oil light go on at 15500 miles & having to add 1.25 qt of oil. Very concerning. Red flag 🚩 for single-owner new vehicle. Bad omen. Never have had to add oil for new car.

SQ-5- Best SUV on the road right now

My wife and I test drove quite a few cars and SUVs before deciding on the SQ5. Its handling, ride, comfort, acceleration, punch, curb appeal, gas mileage, no blind spots, excellent camera system, excellent audio system. We have nothing but praise for this SUV. AS I mentioned In the head line..we believe this to be the best SUV on the road right now.

Almost a sleeper car

You wouldn’t expect a “family” car this fast! Great performance and quick, it feels like it follows you at every move you make with it.
