It was just ok

I bought the 335i and was satisfied with it, but it still lacked something. Twin turbo was okay, but you'll never see 29mpg as BMW claims. The warranty was probably the best feature. It was outstanding. I'd recommend getting an extended warranty if you can since the high pressure pump seems to go out a lot!!! After about 4 tickets and a year of owning I sold the car. The money you pay (repair included) vs. quality & performance I'd go with a Lexus. I don't think I'd buy a BMW again. Pros +Warranty +Very Comfortable +Very Classy Car +Twin Turbo Cons -High pressure fuel pump has been replaced 3 times before 35k miles -Takes Premium Fuel -Parts & Labor $$$ compared to competition -A little too small -Too $$$ for what you get. -Out dated Navi (for the cost of Navi, just buy a Garmin and updated it as you need to) -Run Flat Tires very expensive & wear out fast and there is no spare tire. You can buy non run flats, but again, no spare. -Bluetooth was nice, but had some trouble with the other person hearing what I said. If you're looking at this car, consider the IS-350...Personally I'd go with the LS.

Best small sedan, hands down.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my BMW. It is no wonder to me why they call it "The Ultimate Driving Machine." Although the ride comfort is somewhat diminshed with the sports package, the car feels solid, and well put together. The engine is responsive, with very little turbo lag. There are certainly other cars on the market that provide similar thrills, but I have been the most impressed with the 3 series.

335i sedan with sport package

Every day i joke with my wife about going out to my "stable" and running my 300+ horses around the town. This is a powerful and gorgeous car, visciously quick, probably too quick for all the congestion in Chicago--but i could care less. this car can outperform most. traded in a mazda rx8 which i thought handled and performed great, but bmw outclasses and outperforms it. If you buy this car, I highly recommend getting rid of the run flat tires and getting ultra high performance all season tires if you live in the midwest or snowy and rainy regions. They are much more comfortable and still get great grip in rain and snow. If you buy used, I also recommend getting this car certified preowned because i don't care how much money you have, you want the maintenance to be covered under warranty or through the maintenance plan because the repairs are expensive. I bought it used with 14000 miles and the engine and features are best in class. however, i had to take it in for service three times in three months for electrical issues with door locks and windows. No big deal- it was covered by warranty, but i never had to take a car in for repair so many times in such a short time to deal with minor electrical glitches. All is well for now, and this car really performs. When I hammer the pedal down, I forget about the little annoyances that i dealt with. Once the warranty and maintenance coverage ends, I'm out of this car and I will probably get a newer version in 2011 because the driving experience is unbelievable. Ride on.

Raina

This car is amazing.I have never driven anything like it before. Everytime I get in feels like the first time. I was recently an Audi enthusiast. Not anymore. This car is a dream. I am actually thinking of buying it when my lease is up. That is very rare for me. Cars bore me after 6 mts. Not this ultimate driving machine.. Enjoy

Delivers as Advertised and More

The performance, handling, grip (wet and dry), fuel efficiency, and all-around fun are EXACTLY as advertised. Owned my 335i for one year as of this week with no problems whatsoever. Would purchase again without hesitation.

Best Car Out Right Now

The 335 is a great car. Its fast and has great handling. I am currently leasing a 335 coupe and i love it. It's the best car i have ever owned. The interior is very high quality and I-Drive is really good once you learn how to use it properly. I now have 10,000 miles on the car and no problems at all. Great Car. 100% worth the money.

by far the best car i have bought

Was a previous owner of a 350Z and have also driven the infinity version. The response on this car is far superior and the handling alot better. Always a pleasure to start this car up in the morning and hear the engine roar !

Near-M3 performance with real world drivability

I bought a 335 (auto) convertible after the lease expired on my M3 convertible (with SMG). The 335 is nearly a match for the M3 in acceleration, and may even beat it in accelerating from highway speeds owing to the increased torque from the twin turbos. It probably couldn't quite keep up in the "twisties," but on the other hand it is a much more comfortable every-day driver. The 335 has superb steering and brakes (on par with the M3), a better sound system (which surprised me because I had the optional Harmon-Kardon upgraded system in the M3) and far less road noise with the (hard) top up or down. And oh yeah: It gets about 20% better gas mileage than the M3 did. Contrary to some reviewers' comments, you can detect a hint of turbo lag when you stomp on the throttle, but not enough to be bothersome. A few complaints: the interior leather seems a cheaper grade than I had -- annoying on a $60,000 car, the glove box is too small to even store the owners manual, you can't read the radio dial when wearing polarized sunglasses (Just the radio. The rest of the guages are fine -- what's up with that?), and I hate the inevitable run-flat tires (but no way this car has room for a spare tire, at least in convertible version). But all in all, the 335 is a fabulous car -- and after a few commutes in typical Southern California traffic on roads in need of re-paving, I didn't miss my M3 at all. We'll see how the reliability goes -- it is the first model year after all -- but I've had no problems so far (albeit after only 4000 miles).

We fight over who gets to drive

This is just a stunning car. I've owned once since September 2006 and have done 11,000kms since then, It accelerates, brakes and handles like a gem. The electronic gadgetry like my iPod connector, nav system, sound system, tv, self-diagnostics, seat-belt feeders just add to the fact that this car goes like the wind, sounds amazing and is a true star. Well done BMW.
