Sorry but it's back to Lexus for me

I have owned this car from new. At 50k miles the windshield washer tank had to be replaced since the o-ring shrank and it was leaking all over the place. Never had that happen to me in my almost 50 years of driving. Now, at 54k, front axle and right front wheel bearing hub/assembly has to be replaced. I also own a 2006 Lexus GS 300 in mint shape which I bought new. At 133k miles hardly any issues. After all this Covid xx and overpricing is over with, hopefully next year, I'll be in the market for another car. It'll be a Lexus. It may not look as nice or drive as sporty but it's sure as heck more dependable. The X3 also makes an occasional loud noise when it starts which we haven't gotten to yet. Can't wait to see how much that sets me back.

Serious Design Problem! Do not purchase X3

The liftgate gasket design is wrong! If you check the car's roof, the roof bar's gaskets go directly to under liftgate gasket's! It means a couple of years later rainwater goes under the liftgate gaskets and inside the backside: all stereos, main battery on the back. The car goes toasted! I had a 2018 X3 M40i. It was just 24K miles. The car messed up in 2023 summer. I just checked the problem dealer service asking $300.00 just inspection fee + all problem cover needs $5,000.00. The best way; 1- Do not purchase X3. 2- if you bought, definitely every two years, change the gasket of the liftgate. (Note- I checked the X5 models, and they do not have this bad design.)

A lot of luxury for a SUV. Great safety features.

Surprised with the number of safety features on a 2018 model. Also, the ride was very comfortable and quiet. Has a great sound system and fair amount of technology. Much better than the 2016 BMW 328i that I traded in.

Most reliable car I have owned so far

The car is has very good performance. It is top of the line when it comes to fuel economy despite the sporty performance. Very well priced for its value.

Great driving SUV

Very quite great acceleration , sport seats very comfortable on long trips . Fuel MPG is a lot better than our 2011 X3 averaging 25 MPG.

X3 M40i model is a performance beast!

Everything from interior to exhaust is incredible. 3D View is amazing, safety features prevented two for sure accidents for me when backing up. Headlights look around the corner for you, this car is smarter than me.
