Wife and I Love it!

We love this car to pieces. Our trim is the Premium AWD model with every option. Nice handy features like a hidden cubby behind A/C controls, the Safety Alert Seat, keyless access with push start, and not to mention the drivers assistance technologies. I am 6'1" and the seats are very comfortable and envelope you as you drive. Great headroom too with the panoramic glass roof. I especially like the added thigh support on drivers seat. The heated, third zone climate, and recline rear seats are also very comfortable for adults and long car rides. Its infotainment system, CUE is very responsive and includes lots of convenient features. Cadillac did a nice job with this! No wonder it is their bestseller!

Great overall vehicle for a midsize SUV

This vehicle excels in almost every category with the exception of a few details that are important for the resale value and esthetic value that most likely is why you chose the Cadillac to begin with. At year 3 the recommendation of a transmission service may actually reduce the transmission responsiveness from then on as after having the service done my vehicle has experienced a lag in the acceleration now when getting on the expressway that previously was not an issue. The interior is beautiful but all 2011-2013 SRS SUV?s have a headliner that detaches from the windshield and although it?s not very noticeable will frequently deposit the foam liner pieces in your lap due to degradation of the liner and Cadillac thinks that it?s not enough of a problem to fix after the warranty has expired and even the extracare warranty will not cover replacement due to its esthetic and barely visible to ? all but the owner ? and it occurred at 4 years old an 62,000 miles. The premium leather will fray around the seats and you will have to pay for it to be just dyed and spot repaired. The CUE system will go out especially in climate that reach temperatures above 90 degrees and if under warranty they do replace it. So hopefully you are under factory warranty when it happens. Mine occurred at 59,211 miles so it was replaced by the warranty. I realize that these are minor somewhat but paying 54,000 for a luxury vehicle I had hoped that Cadillac would replace problems that occurred in a 3 year span of vehicles when it was obviously a poor design or glue or something that has decreased the value of the car extensively. At 4 years in and paid for it is a car that otherwise is great but value for trade-in is only 14,000 with 60,000 miles in perfect condition other than the headliner. Making this cat cost right at 900 dollars a month to own yearly. Not including the interest rate you have paid if any. Maybe it will be fine going forward until the 90,000 mile mark on the extra warranty bought and then I will have reduced the cost of ownership of a Cadillac SUV. Time will tell..,

Nice car. Like service dept

Back seat could use more room. Hate the gps. Too difficult and never understands my voice. Like most everything else.

I've had better for less

If you buy a used Cadillac srx make sure you buy 1 with hid headlights, the luxury model comes with halogen lights and it's not safe to drive at night. I'm not old by any means, but I would need to have xray vision to drive this model at night! Other than that, the car is very nice. It has good power and it has a nice interior, with a nice sound system.

Top of its class

When I got into an accident in my previous car, my insurance company put me in a rental for a month while my car was being repaired. I drove an Audi Q5, a BMW X3 and the Cadillac SRX. I thought that the SRX was so comfortable, I went out and bought one.
