Great value for the money
This is my second xxx. The first had the V8 and this has the V6. The V8 is much more poweful and refined then the V6. The V6 is noisy when cold and idles high when the car is first started. I have driven the car for 3500 miles and I have averaged 25.4 MPG on regular gas. On the highway I am doing better then 29 on trips. The V8 was 19.4 MPG over 42k miles. The bottom line is that it is a good car and because they depreciate so fast, the value is terrific. If you can buy it from a Cadillac dealership get it "Certified". It is worth every penny. Obviously I like the car otherwise I wouldn't have bought a second. My kids love borrowing it every opprtunity they have.

Wow!!
The 2008 model xxx is a great car! I absolutely love it! I was a bit disappointed with the faint road noise and the voice recognition navigation system but the overall driving experience definitely competes with higher priced imports.

2008 xxx....Head Turner, Nice Ride,
For whatever reason, I dont feel old when I looked at this car. Probably due to interest around new CTS hot rod but I also had a 16 year old driving a mustang GT tell me the xxx was sharp looking......

Best Cadillac I have owned
I have driven Cadillacs for 30+ years. I owned a 1996 Eldorado for 13 years and parted with it reluctantly - until I drove the xxx. It is responsive and easy to drive. Fast enough to satisfy me - and potentially get me into trouble.

xxx v-8
The car I bought 3 months ago has 18 in wheels and which could include beefed up springs and shocks as it rides a little rough. The bumps dont come through so bad but you can definately here them. So far I love the car and havnt had any problems. Gets about 24-25 on the hwy. Recommened is premium but I use mid grade: however, manual states that you can use regular. Sharp looking car and there is not much exterior change for 2011. V8 was discontinued for 2011.

Cadillac got it right.
I have yet to find the year and model of my vehicle for cheaper price. The ride is smooth and the vehicle is defiantly a head turner.

Best Value In Used Car
Purchased this vehicle after it came off a two year lease. A retired individual leased this car and it only had 5,350 miles on it and being two years old. This car still smells brand new. I previously had a 2000 xxx with the V8 Northstar and was a bit concerned the V6 would not be as stgrong as I liked. Although the Northstar would leave the V6 in the dust, I was pleasantly surprised at how much pickup and top end speed the V6 has. This vehicle has the Platinum package and the upgraded leather, wood and carpet is very nice. Overall I am very pleased with the 2008 xxx. Caddy continues to make a series of excellent vehicles.

Excellent, but...
This is my second Cadillac, the first having been a 2001 Seville xxx. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the car, with the exception of a couple of pretty small issues. I fault the selling dealer for not being careful and thorough in the Certified Pre-Owned process before listing it for sale. Those issues were largely cosmetic, though, and relatively easy to fix, and all were taken care of quickly and at no cost to me. Like my last xxx, this car has lived up to my expectations. The Northstar V8 has plenty of power for my, shall we say, "spirited" driving style. My heavily-optioned car includes Magnetic Ride Control, which provides noticably better ride and handling than the 2001 xxx which had only the older version of electronic stability control. Fuel economy is about 10% less than the 2001, probably because my 2008 xxx is equipped with all-wheel drive. But where I live we get about 200 inches of snowfall annually, so the added security is well worth it to me. There are a number of improved features, such as the head-up display, remote/keyless starting, blind-spot alerts, lane-departure alerts, adaptive cruise control, automatic headlamp dimming (which works surprisingly well), and Bluetooth connectivity. But a few of the creature comforts of the 2001 Seville are now gone, such as memory-adjustable power headrest and shoulder strap positioning, and massaging lumbar front seats. I am surprised that this model hasn't sold better, and especially that it hasn't outsold the aging DeVille/DTS. It's a much better looking car, pricing is similar for similar power and performance, but it is less roomy in the back seat. Cadillac sells a long-wheelbase version of this car with more luxurious interior options, exclusively in the China market. I think GM missed the boat by updating the DTS rather than bringing the long-wheelbase xxx to the US. It's got great performance and features, especially for the money, even with the pricey "1SG" top-of-the-line luxury/performance package mine has. Considering the purchase of a Lincoln, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Acura, or Infinity? Give the xxx a shot.
