Versatility!

Tough truck can pull and haul and take a beating while also providing a comfortable and reliable ride as a family vehicle. The conversion of the back seat allows me access to a full size bed and still fits in my little garage.

Very roomy comfortable great for outdoors and tail

My 04 Avalanche live on for a year-and-a-half now I did a lot of aftermarket stuff on it and it put right at about $13,000 in it I know I'll never get that back but wouldn't take a dollar less than 10 you're very good-looking truck with 22 in black alloy black rhino Wheels it's doing all the way out every bulb and it's been changed the name to Ruby she's been a great truck besides when I first got her I had to put all new ball joints in front end work $1,700 in total worth of work done to it right after paying almost eight full and cash for the truck. I think the trucks very roomy stylish there is some things that could have been done different in my perspective like maybe used a better quality leather for the interior not such a easy fighting plastic on an exterior and did better with the drainage so they didn't trust so bad underneath all the plastic Destructo has not failed me yet knock on wood is eye-catching truck in A Conversation Piece and runs xxxx good too. All at the same time it's also got a price to it 10 cash they can have it I'll try and post pics

Quirky little SUV

A 2007 Ford Escape V6 XLT was handed down to me with about 95,000 miles on it. It ran great for a couple months driving to school, then the problems began. First, the engine lurched and hesitated when accelerating or climbing a hill. Then it started leaking oil from the engine. We took it to the dealership and they found the Mass Air Flow Sensor was malfunctioning and the air box was cracked. This was all fixed. Then the gas tank rusted through and poured gas when filled over 3/4, another dealership trip. Now we are at 102,000 miles with a ticking engine, tried recharging the a/c but it still doesn't blow cold. Factory subwoofer stopped working and rear right window won't roll up unless you help pull it up. Tie rods also went out. The acceleration is weak and the engine is not very powerful at all. Lastly, when trying to spray wiper fluid on the rear window, a leaking hose or something sprays fluid into the cab from by the windshield. These vehicles are trash, steer clear.

Best vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned 30

Bought this new with 54 miles on it in July 2004. In over 15 years and 104,000 miles and have not had 1 problem. It is extremely versatile and comfortable on long trips. You can secure everything and removing the back window during summer makes a nice feature. It does lack in power but it has done everything I have ever asked of it. Shame they quit making these, I am ready for another.

Best Truck/SUV I’ve ever owned!

My Avalanche is a fully loaded Z-71 with 99,000 miles. I have owned it since 2006. What can I say, this Beast is AWESOME! It has a smooth ride, large Bed, and plenty of room for 5 Adults to sit comfortably. I’ve owned a lot of Trucks and sports cars and I can honestly say, overall, my Avalanche is my favorite vehicle.

Everything you need in a truck.

I have owned this truck for 9 months now. Bought it with 157,000 miles and now has 164,000. I haven't had any issues with the truck - although the CARFAX was minimal, It seems to have been properly maintained. I have hauled 14-foot logs in the bed (probably 2200-2300lbs total) and the truck handled as it should. This truck it literally everything I need. I can fit the family with the dog, pack all our camping gear and everything stays dry! Expect to get 13-14MPG city and around 20MPG highway if you drive sensibly. 65MPH on the highway on cruise control and you'll get 21MPG all day. The versatility and capability of this truck outweighs the poor gas mileage. Overall, if you find a clean one WITHOUT CLADDING, jump on it. It's worth sorting out any issues you have with electrical/mechanical issues to enjoy a sweet ride that can do just about anything.
