Toyota performance Fairfield Ohio said they would drive it anywhere. 2 tanks of gas later and transmission went out. Car Currenly sitting in my drive.

This truck really does the job no matter the front. Lots of room and great handling. Mine is 14 years old and runs like a champ. Has the feel of a luxury vehicle on the inside and the brute of a worker on the outside. Fantastic vehicle.

I owned this truck for a couple of years but recently had to sell it due to too many repairs. Alternator, window regulator, transfer case and other things made it too expensive to own vs what the truck was worth. But the engine (5.3L LM7) is a gem. Smooth as can be, strong and reliable. It's not the best on gas, but it's also due to only having a 4 speed automatic, the sometimes maligned 4L60 transmission. I had no powertrain issues while I had the car, but as I said the small stuff finally made me get rid of it. Overall, it's a great truck for a used second car to do the dirty work for home improvement projects, to pull a trailer and in snow (unstoppable in any weather). The ride quality is really fantastic. Smooth as can be. For every day driving at this point of being so old, I would advise against it. Parts are not always easy to find like they would be for a comparable Silverado and the fuel economy is pretty bad. I got 15 mpg at best when doing about 50/50 city/highway driving. But I will miss it - it is an amazing truck if you have a little more luck than I did with reliability. Get your mechanic to check it out thoroughly before purchase.

Chevys are great.... very versatile, family friendly, suv n truck combine, more so then just a chevy truck!! Plenty of leg room and space for storage.

We needed a truck to haul horses but I also wanted to be able to get my kids where they needed to be safely. This ended up being our "fancy" car that was totally reliable and comfortable. In fact, I had two Avalanches that totaled over 300,000 miles together. It was impossible to find a good car that was as comfortable and luxurious as this vehicle.

This is a very smooth riding truck. The color and accessories make it a head turner, and the mechanics have never left me stranded. Looks great and runs great...not much more you can ask for

For the money, its an awesome deal! Drove like a dream and was so comfortable! It was like sitting in your most comfortable chair at home while driving down the road!! I hope to buy one again in the future!

Avalanche 2500 big block. I've owned diesels, v10s, chevy 6.0, older 454 , and if I had to choose I'd go with the 8.1 chevy avalanche. Big power without the high cost of diesel maintenance. Tows like a boss rides like a car.
