What an awesome truck!

I bought my 2005 avalanche z71 4x4 in july 2008 with 21k miles on it. Absolutely, hands down, the best truck that i have ever owned! Very comfortable to drive and love all of the features. You are really getting your monies worth with this truck, highly recommend. a little expensive on gas,but you have to remember it has a very large gas tank, so it does last longer. Fun to drive and love to turn heads!!

Fun & Versatile

I picked up a 2003 Z71 2.5 years ago with 50,000 miles on it to serve as a 3rd vehicle to tow my 19 ft. runabout and haul stuff. I drive about 2/3 HWY and 1/3 city and average 16.8 MPH. Due to the vehicle's size, I don't even attempt to drive it to my downtown office and parking garage. I have driven the vehicle with 5 adults on a 3 hr trip and everyone was amazed with the comfort. I love the 3 piece tonneau and rear side pockets for storage. New rear brakes and 4 shocks @70k, @75k rear power door looks not working.

Wish I could keep it

I only had my 2005 Avalanche for about 9 months but I really enjoyed owning it. Great interior room, love the overall style and usefulness of the truck. Drove it from Dallas to Colorado and was very comfortable 4 adults. It rides smooth like a SUV but it has all the features you would want in a truck. Had no problems maintaining it. No break downs. Negatives are its size, it is very bulky and it takes a while to get used to the girth. Really didn?t enjoy parking in garages. The main problem though is just the cost to drive it. The thing costs well over $100 to fill up, at $3.70 a gallon, and with gas prices rising every day I kind of had to get out while I could. It gets right at 16.8 miles per gallon. Overall I really enjoyed having my Avalanche, hate to get rid of it but its just not practical to own right now.

Must have!

I own a 2005 Avalanche. It's the most versatile and reliable vehicle I've ever had!! It hauls everything ... in style. I will buy another Avalanche when I wear this one out. Dave
