Easy to park and always ready for any weather

Surprisingly this car is very adaptable to whatever you need. Easy to park, amazing storage, great traction in any weather. Body on frame is very safe in a collision. Possibly the best visors ever made with coverage along the front and the full length of the side. 2WD, Auto 4WD, 4WHi and 4WLo all from the dash. I've owned many SUVs and the Blazer is unique. Fuel economy is the primary concern with this car.

Single Best Second Hand Vehicle

I bought My 2001 Blazer from my grandmother, who bought it brand new with her late husband to tow around her sailboat and transport gardening supplies around. now i use it to travel around Oshawa and the occasional trip home from school to visit my parents. So reliable, decent power (could do with just a little more), rides like an air mattress (thats to say very comfortable indeed), and is my faithful companion for long road trips. there is only one downside to this truck. the mileage SUH-HUCKS. its sooo bad. but i really don't care. the rest of the vehicle makes up for it in leaps and bounds. its just that good.

Going to miss it

I've owned this truck since 2003 - going on 12 years now. Aside from routine maintenance, no major issues during the first 100K miles. This truck is known for 2 main issues (ball joints, idler arms, etc) - front end 'issues', and intake maniford gasket. I have been hit with both of those. Also, replaced the radiator, water pump, fuel gauge sending unit (in gas tank). Oh - also known for the seat-recline handles popping off. Yep - mine came right off about 50K in. ts been a good-enough truck, and is reliable. It is not more or less than most other vehicles out there. However, I always felt the V6 was a little underpowered. Meaning, I should not have to tromp on the gas to get performance... Keep up on the maintenance and the truck will be fine. But that is about it... just fine.

2001 4X4 Blazer

We live at 7000 feet and need a 4 wheel drive car for 3 months out of the year. Most cars are very under powered at these altitudes but the 4.3 V 6 Blazer is just fine and has enough pep to get us through he snowy winters. It always starts on sub zero days and warms up fast enough to defrost the windshield. It may not be the best gas mileage four wheel drive but it works great at our altitude and snowy hilly town that we live in.

my 2001 chevy blazer

I bought my blazer of a dealer for a very good price, its a two door utility 4x4 drive. its a nice car easy to control and also reliable but most of its kind have oil leak problems so it needs maintenance regularly or else it would cost $800 to $1100 to fix. moderate mpg about 15mpg on city and 19mph on fwy. but other than that very good engine that would last 300,000 miles if maintained regularly.

I've owned 4 of these cars and love them.

I've owned this car for 9 years, it has been a great car. I like the ride, the options are well thought out. I would hhave bought another if they still made it.

love it

Great ride all around. Excellent on wet and snowy roads as well as dry sunny days. Have owned it for 5 years, bought it used, and it still runs great. Have used it for pulling a small boat and trailer, and have had no problems at all. The interior has held up beautifully as well. I highly recommend the 2001 chev blzr zr2.

Blazer in Chicago

4.3L Vortec engine is pretty beast. Fuel economy is very mediocre. I get about 16-17 mpg(stop and go in the city/burbs). Highway is reasonable. my first car was a small dodge sedan, needless to say, My 2001 4x4 Blazer is 10x more fun to drive. Im never buying a small/low to the ground car ever again. I have the 2 door Blazer, with the spare tire on the back. Looks like an off roading machine. turns some heads. Bought mine with 54k miles on it. for a 2001 truck, thats pretty rare. get the carfax from the dealer/private owner.
