2006 Chevrolet Colorado consumer reviews

I use this truck for road trips, date night, hunting trips, hauling fishing gear, working on the beach, hauling furniture, mulch, pine straw, etc. I have mine lifted on 31” tires and still get 19mpg @ 85mph cruise on Highway. Easy to work on yourself, great exterior look, interior is nice. Aftermarket radio modernizes entire cabin. Leather seats could be nicer but it’s part of the trade off buying a Truck from 2006.

I drove this truck over 100k miles. It's been very reliable and a great commuter vehicle. I have drove it in all weather conditions and it has always started first time. Only routine maintenance has been performed.

This vehicle was priced thousands under market value ,needs work but has potential,got what i was looking for.they gave me a list of needed repairs so i knew exactly what i was working with

Interior leaks, engine problems on a regular basis, brake problems, headlights constantly burn out. Overall an unreliable vehicle. Always something wrong. Worst truck I have ever owned. Will never have another Chevy colorado.

Truck looks good on the outside as well as the inside. Runs good and everything seems to work as expected. Will be used mainly for going to work out of town and light hauling.

The truck Handels very good on wet surfaces has quick pickup very roomie inside the cab and can haul all my work supplies from job site to job site

Great little truck for everyday needs. Good on gas mileage for commuting. Perfect for getting projects done around home. Very reliable, I have had no major issues with this truck.

So far we love the truck. It is fun to drive and easy on gas. It's a great looking truck and my wife love's it.

Colorado and GM's Passlock II system causes the computer to read a resistance signal from the key cylinder in order to let the fuel injectors turn on. Vehicles with this passlock system will turn over but not start. The solution is to wait 10 minutes (exactly) and then the fuel injectors will be turned on and the vehicle will start.

This truck was the only vehicle I have ever purchased & did not have second thoughts!! I currently have 135,000+ miles and I have enjoyed everyone of them. I am in the process of handing it down to my 16 year old son. If it wasn't for him...I would drive it until the wheels fall off!!!
